For somebody who does this as an aside I have to say your enjoyment in what you do is inspirational, somebody once said find something you love doing and you will never work a day in your life in your case that is very true.
You definitely gave that TT a great clean before applying the protection products, if a product was to fail after that I think it wasn't such a good one. Your managing to produce one cracking video after another now which is great to see for those who've been following your video's.
Don't know if this ever happened to you or if you have a better solution: i did a long summer motorway bug-splattering drive. Car was horrific. On a hot summer day, away from home, i pre-soaked the car at a local jet wash to cool the body and add wetness. Then with a pump sprayer i doused the car with BH auto foam at 5% PIR. Then 2 minutes dwell time and jet wash off. Dried the car. Gleaming job 😊
Always good to see a fresh upload from my new favorite ASMR channel. Apart from watching one of my favorite things to do myself (car detailing) your videos do have such mellow vibes which makes them even more enjoyable. As i've said before : definitely glad that i found your channel. Hits every spot.
Hi Heather. This is the second video I’ve seen of yours and I appreciate your attention to detail. Your videos are very calming to watch as well. Keep up the good work!
Quite possibly the most beautiful car I’ve seen you detail. That blue paint really pops after you applied the Squid Ink product. I’m glad you used the TW rapid decon. It’s a great product that’s highly versatile. I use it first on my wheels . ✌🏻
Hi I totally enjoy your detailing videos, as they are a lot of tip and ideas you give out . As I do detailing on my own car. The only down side is I live down a cul-de-sac de sac, which means I can't use a hoes pip. As it not long enough, so I have to travel to my local garage which a two min drive to the jet wash. I never ever use there jet brush as a lot of people tend to use on the wheels and it never gets rinsed out. So I use jet pressure wash, then snow foam, then rinse. Then back home, get two buckets of water add shampoo into the the bucket , the other clean water, then give a good wash with wash mitt, then clay bar it as well. Give a good rinse. Which means another trip to jet wash, £2 ago which is not bad. 😊 But I'm always looking for good new products for polishing the car, my main one is a good quality glass cleaner that dont leave a film on the glass. Any ideas you have would be great. Thank you for your videos, keep them coming. Your q00% great to watch.
Pretty much my method except obviously chemicals are different Garage Therapy & Mitchell and King feature heavily with Auto Finesse Triple used on the door shuts. The finished car looks amazing. One of my mates is buying a black MX5 and I told him to look out for your channel and look for a red one as yours really pops on cleaning. Another enjoyable watch.
Thanks Steven! The wheels were definitely a pretty complicated design and they were 20" as well so a bit more difficult compared to most wheels I've cleaned 😂
Hi Heather, Detailing on gravel does have its downsides, have you tried putting the cars on small drive-up ramps first? Particularly cleaning the alloys and dressing the tyres this helps a lot for me And stops the gravel flirting up when pressure washing the lowers quarters and wheels. They’re around £40 and raise the car 10cm - allowing the dressing applicator to reach all around the tyre
Yeah it can be a bit of a pain! I normally just roll the car forwards/ backwards slightly to get to the bits I couldn't reach. That's a good idea though!
Love your videos can I please ask what type of power washer and snow foam cannon you use as car washes are a fortune these days and need to start doing my own car as you no those car washes don’t even don a correct job it’s a rush job can u maybe put a link of products and power washed with cannon for snow foam thank u x
Cheers Richard! Yeah it did topple a couple of times but I thought it might just be me not sitting it up properly. Sounds like it might be a design issue if you've noticed that too though
Brilliant result Heather it came up really well what was the GT product you used as a prep, i use the Soft 99 glass products i find them fantastic they had a brilliant stall at Waxstock im sure you seen. The squid ink wax looks great.
Thank you! It was GT Panel Wipe, very good stuff! I'm really looking forward to using more of the Soft99 products, I've got a vid going up next Sunday on some of their waxes :)
good morning Heather always enjoy your videos, I like to ask you about using iron fallout remover, I a bit worried about using it on paint work, does this product remove wax protection? and also once applied, and then wash of would you recommend to re wash the car again, hope you can help.
Thanks Nigel :) If the protection is starting to degrade then the iron fallout remover might push it over the edge but it doesn't have a huge impact on fresh protection. It's probably best to try and remove that protection first with a wax-stripping shampoo to get the best out of the iron fallout remover though. I usually give the car a quick once over with a wash mitt and shampoo after any tar/ iron fallout remover products just to make sure there's no residue
It was 200 mL in 800 mL of water. I would've expected it to be thicker as well. I've had a chat with Auto Culture and they're in the process of altering the formula to make it more concentrated
Thank you for the video Heather. Outstanding job you did on the Audi- it really popped👌. Curious to see how long the Squid Ink retains its water behaviour. Do you think its water behaviour will last longer than say DSW?
Cheers Karl! Hmm it's tough to say without doing a side by side test but I don't think there would be a crazy amount in it from what I've seen independently
Thank you! The GT panel wipe has a bit more to it than just IPA so it's better at prepping the surface. I really like using either this one or Bilt Hamber's Cleanser Fluid as well before applying a wax/ sealant. Can't go wrong with either!
Great video Heather nice colour car to do you ever use the soft 99 waxes on your or clients cars 🤔 i put some soft 99 black kiwami on mine this morning will last 6 to 8 months its a beast of a wax easy on easy of long lasting it's a torture monster lol maybe do a video of some soft 99 against the squid ink stuff would be very interesting if the squid ink can hold its own with the soft 99 🤔😏
Thank you! It's funny you should mention that, I think you'll like next week's video 😂 I've done a little comparison of Kiwami, Fusso and King of Gloss that'll be up on Sunday :) I've not included any other brand's waxes in that one but I'd like to do a bit of a mega test of some waxes in the future
Thanks for sharing another video. I've got the larger Blo GT drier as I have to wash a BMW 7 Series and the longer hose on the bigger unit means I can get all the way around the car without moving it. With plenty of protection on the car it doesn't seem to be much longer than a drying towel, but it saves quite a bit of effort. Would be interested in your views on more Gyeon products as I've moved across to that brand from Autoglym and would be nice to compare against other products on the market. Good value/performance?
Thanks for watching Simon! Yeah that longer hose on the GT is a very good idea. The 5 meter one on my RS is enough but it'd definitely be a bit more convenient if it was a bit longer. I'll definitely pick up some more Gyeon products at some point. I've only ever tried wetcoat and the tyre cleaner and both work really well. I'd probably say that Autoglanz Rebound is still my favourite tyre cleaner though over Gyeon's
Hi can you tell me what glass cleaner you were using there please? I didn’t quite catch the name. Enjoy all your videos and have bought a good few products that you’ve been using 👍
I don't really use gloss-enhancing shampoos to be honest I tend to just using pure shampoos and then get the gloss/ protection from a dedicated wax or sealant instead
Hi, not video related. Would you "detail" a classic Mini (or any classic car), without using water !! I've never used water on my classic Mini, paranoid about the mixture of water and old metal !!. Many thanks

You are my new therapy
Great method for the door shuts! Will be trying that myself! 👌
No gimmicks, just honest and incredibly detailed work. Very nicely done on a beautiful machine.
Thanks very much!
