You are seriously A professional when it comes to detailing. Add to that this is a side job and I am just blown away. Thank you for the good advice and recommendations 👍🏻
Cracking content, Heather. The old days of professional coatings and the need for almost hospital grade sterile conditions seem (in part) a thing of the past now, which is great for the weekend enthusiast, like me. I'll be sure to look out for the insta updates. All the best. 👍.
@@AutoCareHQsame for me, was wanting to try Gyeon Cancoat Evo but without somewhere dry to leave it for curing and British weather I’m leaning towards Diamond Protech
The simplicity and ease you make car detailing is just such a joy to watch and most importantly learn from. You come across easy on the ear with your thoughts on the products you use. I need to improve my decon stage of cleaning. Would you recommend the clay mitt over a clay bar to help remove the bonded contaminants from paint ? Please keep up the great work Heather. Take care
Thanks for the kind words Darren! If the paintwork doesn’t feel too rough then a clay mitt would be completely fine. It’s less aggressive and more efficient than a clay bar, but if the surface has heavy contamination then a clay bar will be much more suitable
Afternoon Heather 👋 Another quality detailing video, with honest assessments of the products used. The owner of the car is fortunate to have you detailing their car. It's a very impressive finish Heather 👏👏👏
Hi Heather, I'm rapidly running out of superlatives to describe your videos. 👏👏 The paintwork coating looks very easy to apply, the finish is outstanding and the duration sounds impressive. Somehow though I can't see you using it on your own car as the 3 weeks between application and washing would be too long for you to bear.😂 It would be ideal for some people I know who wash their cars as infrequently as possible.
Thanks very much Stephen! Haha I was itching to wash this one to be honest just to see the water behaviour 😂 It was worth the wait though because the performance is incredible
I might be a bit late to the party but like 925 is officially deployed! Def checking that coating out, great result from an easy application is always one to watch. Interesting thoughts about the polish as well. I was considering s20 and S40 as my next trial (everything I've had so far is soft japanese paint (Hondas) but you've given me another option Im more likely to go with now, as my last one jsut didn't get the clarity I thought was possible, with the products I had available. Like with Sandro @ CCAD, Im yet to disagree with any of your recommendations I've bought. GT tyre serum tried now on my last one that came thru. Really liked that. The well edited video is not lost on me either epsecially how hard it is to film stuff as you do it and then have to cohesively stitch it all together takes me forever. Amazing results on the car, looks fab! Well done!
Having owned and still is a silver car, I must say, it's not easy to make this color pop, but when you do, it's such a joy, it's like a samurai sword,, it glows. You did just that here Heather, well done. Prep is always the key.
Very thorough job on the Clio Heather, I've picked a bottle of Megs M205 my favourite finishing polish on the rotary on a 3M black pad. I picked some Rupes rotary waffle pads up too to try as my 3M's are starting to show their age.
Wow Heather, what a fantastic job . Totally nailed that Clio, and one very happy owner. Have you ever considered doing one to one workshops where the owner cleans their car under your supervision. With the results you post, I’d sighs up for the knowledge you’d give. All the best and keep these videos coming x.
Thanks very much Rob! To be honest I've never thought of that actually, I don't really feel like I could charge for my knowledge as I know there's plenty of detailers who know much more than me! I just try and share everything I can on here and the website :)
Don’t think like that, you have so many positive comments made about your work, you’ve done podcasts with other pro retailers like yourself. I know Auto Finesse do this and for us up North it’s a fair slog down their. Keep up the great work, my cleaning kit grows with your channel but at a slower pace lol x
Great video, as a demonstration for someone who may have never cleaned their car properly this video just shows for not a great deal of money, respectable results can be achieved. One of my favourite Renault's this era of Clio, today they have become to electronic and way to expensive.
Did I miss something, did you not do the inside of the door recesses or boot? Door hinges and openings? Apart from that it's a very good job.. What was your total time on the car out of interest? 👍

All the best & looking forward to the next video 👍
Incredible work!! Just out of curiousity, how long did this full exterior job take to complete? I just did a ford bronco (us based) and it took me way longer than I expected just to do the exterior, nearly 10 hours! This was with 2 polish steps and sill decon.
Thanks very much! This took about 10 hours but the filming does usually add a few hours to the process. Fortunately this just need one polishing step so wasn't too bad!
Another great video 👍 Can I ask why you chose to use the citrus at 1:5 when Squid Ink suggest 1:8 for light, 1:4 for medium and 1:1 for heavy soiling? Personal preference or have you used their recommendations and changed it to get better results? Thanks 🙂
Hi Heather, thanks for another interesting video. I invested in a gazebo last year to protect a car overnight so I could apply a ceramic coating as my car's don't fit in the garage. Maybe an option for you to give you more flexibility of what you apply as a coating?
Top work as always, Heather. Must say, I might give the Diamond Body coating a go over Garage Therapy CS come the Winter - looks just as easy to apply anyway! I still need to machine polish the paint but a coat of black hole and some Auto Finesse Desire does the job for this Summer. Although being a 'show wax' I'll be stripping that back and going with some form of ceramic coating for Winter so have added this to the list. Need to find a shop to repair my Rupes BigFoot first though as I think the gearbox has eaten itself, only used it on around 5 cars in 3 years too!
Thanks very much! If you go with the Diamond ProTech coatings I'd give the car a decon and polish first and avoid layering it over any other products like CS. The coating doesn't really need topping with anything else either as the performance on its own is seriously good. I'll put a clip up on my Instagram this week showing the water behaviour :)
Either is okay however I think it cleans slightly better when applied to a dry surface. It can be useful to rinse the car first though in hot weather to cool the paint down before applying the snow foam
See what woman's touch can do, you did a great detail on that Renault clio, like the way you talk through what doing, and products you use, keep up great content coming,
What do you think of spraying tar remover. (Applies to iron remover too) then cover them with ph neutral snow foam? So it can dweel longer and maybe it the iron / tar remover can be more effective?
Heather have you tried using your car shampoo in your foam lance, its the way i shampoo my cars now and just have a bucket with a few mits as car should be near clean anyway by time you do the contact wash.Honestly its better method and much safer than the overratted 2 bucket method
Yep it’s actually the only method I use on my own car! Works really well but it’s just tricky to film as the foam often rolls off the panels as I’m messing about moving/ focusing the camera 😂 I am using that method though on my next video which will be out on Monday 😊
Thank you! It can be difficult depending on the temperature but I’m usually able to keep the panels cool with the pressure washer. When applying the protection though I have to try and get as much shade as possible
Hi heather I hope you are well thanks for this instructional video and excellent clean I have a question for you? Do you think the car wax is dead? I see many many Ceramic Coatings in the market what do you think? Best.🇨🇦

Great job Heather, been trying a few pre washes, my go to was Green Star, would you say you prefer the Squid Ink over the Green Star when you have used this?
Thank you! That's actually a really tough one. I don't think you can go wrong with either, both are excellent cleaners. I'd probably have to do some proper head-to-head comparisons to pick a winner
Thank you! There is usually a little bit of marring but it’s very minor so a wax/ sealant would probably mask it. You could always hand polish it too or glaze it if you want to just cover it up
Hi Heather, I noticed you used the "Hydro Cannon Foam Lance". I saw you did a Foam cannon face off previously where the MJJC V2 was highly rated. I was in the process of ordering the MJJC V3 tomorrow and just spotted this latest video. Is the Hydro on test and if so which one is best out of the 2 please.....
Honestly you can't go wrong with either an MJJC or the Pyramid Hydro foam cannon but they do have quite different designs. The MJJC drains the bottle very quickly which means you can put less chemical in the bottle and get thicker and more concentrated foam but when you factor in the drain rate, neither foam cannon offers any advantage in terms of concentration and cost/ wash if that makes sense. The MJJC has the classic fan design which can be adjusted horizontally/ vertically and also in terms of width. The Hydro Cannon has 5 separate settings (vertical, horizontal, jet, cone and downwards). Both designs work very well it just depends which you prefer. I do use both foam cannons a lot however I do find myself picking up the Pyramid Hydro Cannon more often to be honest so I think I have a slight preference for it personally. I haven't tried the MJJC S V3 but from what I've seen it looks basically identical to the MJJC Pro V2 except for the bottle shape/ transparency. If you do go for the Pyramid Hydro Cannon, you can use the code "ACHQ" to get a discount so it comes in at £40

Hi,great video as usual very well done, excelent as they must be very time consuming to put it all together. Quick question, does ceramic coating last or does it have to be 'Topped Up' at all.🤔
Thanks very much Philip :) It doesn't need to be topped in theory so I'm going to keep an eye on it without adding a sacrificial layer. I'm just planning to chemically decontaminate it 2-3 times per year so make sure it doesn't get clogged up
Thanks Kim :) I usually follow a similar kind of procedure but it does depend on what the owner is looking for. The most basic steps I do are the wash and protection, and then it can step up to a chemical decon and then a full decon/ polish

Nice one Heather! Did you go to Wax Stock this year?
🇦🇺
Thanks! Yep I did, had a great day there
What would a rough price for this kind of service ?
Again.!! outstanding work heather, look forward to the next 👌
Thanks very much! It would be £450 for this kind of job
@@AutoCareHQ Right ok 👍
Very, very nice. As usual, the car turned out great. Do you follow a set procedure, or is each individual car it's own detail? Thanks Heather
Thanks Kim :) I usually follow a similar kind of procedure but it does depend on what the owner is looking for. The most basic steps I do are the wash and protection, and then it can step up to a chemical decon and then a full decon/ polish
Nice work 👍
Thank you!
Hi! What foam cannon are you using? I can't seem to find it in the description

If you use the code ACHQ you should be able to get a discount
How many hours did you spend?
How long does the whole lot take from start to finish ? And how much should one charge for a job like this ? Thank you
It was about 10 hours but probably wouldn’t taken 6-7 without filming. I would charge £450 for this job on this size vehicle
Thank you. Yeah I was thinking would take quiet a bit. Your very good and I love watching you trying out new products. Thanks for all the tips. I have been seeing the products at work for myself ( Yum, HDD, etc )
Great video
Thanks!
Nice to see this kind of stuff on a « normal » car
A bit of a silly question but do you snow foam every time you wash your own car?
Yep I do, I always like to do a good pre-wash even if the car isn't that dirty just to be on the safe side
@@AutoCareHQ Okay thanks
