Who wants a "Break 90" video?
it can never harm, espescially as you hit it more the distance of your average golfer. Shotscope has the average drive for a 15 hcap at about 230. (omitting outliers)

It does not matter so much how far you hit as long as you are straight and hit consistant directions/distances.

Awesome video. When I was stationed in N.C. I played with the 75 year old retired man. I was in my 20s and swinging out of my shoes. He says,” you sure it them far, it’s too bad you don’t know where they are going.” He was hitting his ball 150-175 straight as an arrow, putting for bird or par. AND KICKING MY BUTT! It is all about playing SMART
The best players do both but you have to play your best with what you are given. Thank you for watching!
Getting down to around 80 or hopefully break 80 is my goal for this coming summer. So I'll be trying to put some of this advice I to action. Especially the course management parts. Not taking on tucked pins or clubbing up and not muscling a 9 instead of hitting an easy 8.
I'm hoping some of these tips help. Let me know if they do!
Brother, what a pleasure to see a good average player as yourself on TH-cam. I needed motivation for today as I’m about to play my first competitive round of golf today. You’re very inspiring. So much better watching a player that’s more like me than a pro trying to play like us. Nothing wrong with that but getting it from you is so much better. As an average 7 handicap player myself, I just want to say thank you for putting yourself out there for us. Keep it up & continue to be yourself. Awesome video.

If you’re consistently breaking 80, you’re at worst a 6 hc. You’re straight and consistent.
I was at best a 5 and at 70 today, I’m barely hanging on to a 7. My best drives carry 240 and I play my 7 to 140.
Great all around advice but I think the most important thing for us shorter hitters is to hone the short game… 50 yards in and bunkers and deep greenside rough.
I can’t reach 500 yards in two anymore and my eyes betray me on greens but I still get around in the 70’s on good days. A 7 handicapper averages 82 and usually shoots +/- 6 of his hc and it’s been years since I’ve gone under par but advice like yours will surely help folks in the 7 to 15 bracket.
Great video for those of us who can’t hit 190 yard 7 irons and 300 yard carry drives.

Short game is very important. However, I believe the first thing is to get the ball in play off the tee. You have no chance of breaking 80 if you are hitting it out of bounds and in water hazards. Thank you for watching!
Great video Mistah. We play in conditions like this 6-7 months of the year here in the UK. Props to you on a very straight and strategic game. Hollow tined greens = tough. The absolute key is keep it in play and keep those doubles off! YOU NAILED IT, great video

Great video. Love your calm demeanour and straight forward approach to the game. I drive the ball a similar distance to you and I usually play a draw. My weekness at the moment is short chip shots. New sub here. Love your tips and your presentation. I have gone to a shorter than standard driver and it has helped me to hit more fairways during a round and results in lower scores. Drive it in play and practice hard on that short game. Cheers !

Some really great tips here. My distances are similar to yours. Avoiding double bogeys and 3 putts, and keeping it in play are the keys. I get more pleasure from a tough up and down than making a one putt birdie. I subbed you!

Just watched this video Mistah. First of of yours I've seen then watched half a dozen more and subscribed. Got to say I really like what you're doing and your tips are first rate. I'm off 9 atm trying to get down to the 7 I was a year ago (or lower ideally) before knee and back injuries! Will definitely be watching from now on, have your "back catalogue" to work through. Are you a 5 index or lower, you're certainly pretty consistent? All the best and thanks for your videos, Brian.
