Smashing job :-D It looks in really nice condition now :-). You have done a great job of deleting the bodges of the previous pillock!!. Like the deeper hole drill and tap, just a longer bolt, no strength lost :-). . If i had to do a clutch pole repair like that, it would only be to tide me over untill i could save up for the part, transport to work came first. Its unfortunate that sometimes ive had to adapt the design because the part was unobtainable or i just didnt want to sell a kidney.
I have a Honda CT90 in the garage that I've been able to fix. All new top end and ignition ect... I got it this far but thats it. I don't seem to be able to get it running tho, another education starting now! And thanks for all the videos that have encouraged me so far.

Great tip using the syringe to bleed the banjo fitting on the slave cylinder. I once wrestled with a Magna V45 for hydraulic clutch for 2 days trying to get pressure. Bet I ran more than a gallon of fluid through that line before I exercised the elusive ninja air bubble. It is a great feeling when that handle finally starts to build pressure. Looks like it is going to be a great bike. Really appreciate the videos. RM
well done again this is a great video i found it very informative and helpful im really enjoying this rebuild and how its all coming together for you i bet you cant wait to ride it. i would love to see a top end rebuild in the future as i haven't done one yet and would love to put the athina big bore kit on mine, look forward to seeing the next update keep up the good work man
just a side note. those parts that had surface rust on them are made out of bare mild steel. thats why they had some surface rust on them. It was the same in my 310. Also, the rubber dampers that are in the back of the clutch hub usually get warn and eventually fail and you get a lot of clutch noise. You can get a rebuild kit from ziptyracing.
Oh yeah, and the snap ring is usually the reason why those slave cylinders are cracked. people take the slave off, and forget and press the clutch while its off the bike. and 7602 racing makes a really nice double wiper seal for that piston...
+ Jennies Garage I am new to your channel, kind of, but it is very entertaining and what a nice motorcycle. That baby has a 4 valve cylinder head. I have been into motorcycles and cars since the early 1980's. Love watching your work on these and its nice to see you and your family all chipping in!

I loved the video. I'm still catching up with your older stuff. Just to be a jerk (motivation?), two notes: First, I'm loving my 250cc dual-sport. You'd love having yours finished :) Also, I recently finished my camper trailer. I admit it's still got some t's to cross and i's to dot. But your trailer work was motivational. Wouldn't you love having yours finished too? But seriously, thanks again for making these great videos.
a 1/4" impact driver would do you wonders, theyre great for driving screws lags ect... but you can get a set of adapters to mount 1/4 3/8 and 1/2" sockets on them... they do well under 80ft/lbs but are great for taking off and running on any size nut bolt screw ect than just tighten properly with a wrench or ratchet although i think the best 18v impact driver is probably made by makita, id reccomend the milwuakee as they have better batteries, better warranty and their lineup is much bigger.. with mechance specific tools like hackzall, ratchets, the best 1/2" impact wrench in industry ect
cheapness id presume... although the second clutch plate repair with the bolt from the rear kinda seemed like an acceptable job depending on the cost of the part sub 100$ questionable.. if the part was over 100$ and the clutch was working fine and loctite was used all over those bolts i think itd hold up atleast long enough to burn the clutch material out :D

I have a tidbit of slightly bad but not horrible news. Those sleeves you took out of the swingarm pivot arm......well when you took them out they came from the center and when you reinstalled you came in from the outside. I believe the flat sides need to be inside for rubbage factor and pressure displacement. or something fancy like that. just looking out for you buddy. love your videos but you knew that already

Pro tip: Always check the bottom of the case for damage. Would guarantee that cluster was taken off at 2000 miles.
