    Slick idea putting the springs in jacking up one side and lower the other. I’ll keep that in the old book of tricks. You son is very polite to says a lot about your parenting good job sir. Me and my 2 sons(9 years old) are going to pull and reseal the 5.0 next week in my car . Gets the kids using their hands and brain 😊

      Awesome man! Much thanks. I just share down to my kids what I was taught. My son is a thinker for sure...just need him to want to be more hands on with the cars. I think he'll get there when he gets a little older.

    Team Z FTW! I have the anti roll bar to keep from lifting the left front from torque on launch. To drive on the street I just unhook 1 link. You’ll feel like it’s a new car with this kit it works great 👍

    When I put my control arms in, and they where just lust the regulars, just like the ones you originally had. They where a pain.
    But you know I found a little truck. If you jack up on the right side p side of the axle they magically go right in.
    No joke, jacking up on the passenger side for both the right and left side control arms gets it done.
    You ain't kidding, that suspension work always leaves me racked.
    Even when I was younger. Lol the impacts help, before I used to just wrench it lol.
    Young Ladd. Another good job, well done.

      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why thank you sir! That is key...knowing to rock the axle one side to another, or like you said jack one side up helps the angles.

      Appreciate it man. MOst is a learning process, sharing my experiences with others...Ive replaced, removed and installed rear-ends in foxes before. Once other time on this car and never had an issue putting it in lowers first. This was the first time It dawned on me that "maybe" doing the uppers first would be easier.

    Hey Mike, I've heard one of the best mods you could do to your car is a Pan hard bar for your rear end. I bought one and haven't installed it yet, they say it makes your car drive like it's on rails.

    Ah , I just went with the summit arms . Cars pretty much stock to . There’s no way possible that setup not going to be banging and clunking with a lot of road noise. Everyone has different levels of tolerance tho .

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is true. Stock rubber will be the most quiet, but Im willing to be these will be pretty smooth and clunk free! You always have to give and take a little for the price for performance.

    Do you think it would be easier to put the uppers in first? I have to do mine this weekend

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well maybe with a lift. On the garage to get the uppers in first you need lift the axle higher up, balancing it on the jack and get your body up in the upper mounts. Might be easier, but on the floor in garage its likely safer to do the lowers each side at a time. Worked for me. Just tilt the axle to get each side in.

    Why does the cut side of the spring have to the back what will it mess up if it's not

    • @HOUSEOFDULA
      @HOUSEOFDULA  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cut on the lower end causes the spring to lean forward. Matching the acute angle of the lower control arms and upper spring pocket. It just lets the spring sit vertical. If it was 180 degrees It could bind the spring up.
