- Norwegian Pancakes (Pannekaker) are amazingly light, and airy, similar to crêpes, but distinctly Norwegian. They are wonderful savory or sweet. A true Loon special family tradition!

I need like 100 of these!!
Aww, Wesley. To see you eat a childhood treat attributed to your Father.❤ My husband is 100% Norwegian but was raised in the US. Unfortunately, there were no family recipes handed down. These look delicious, though. Will definitely try them. I loved Wesley's rating, this recipe was very close to his heart. ❤
These look amazing, reminds me of lefse! What a great way to remember the Loon Sr.!
They look delicious. I love how you guys break your recipes down to make them seem easy. Thanks for sharing a Loon family moment.
Thank you so much, Kevin!!!

When I was working in Bergen, I would eat these every afternoon at the hotel. They always had a big batch ready for self service! I'm making them tomorrow morning! Thanks for the delightful reminder.
You just made our day, Larry! We hope you make them and they bring back wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing and let us know if you make them and how they turn out!
@@HowToFeedaLoon I made a batch for us this morning and they were fabulous! I used a little bit more sugar because I like them on the sweeter side. My wife didn’t travel with me, but I got to share some of the wonderful Norwegian food I experienced.
Norwegian here with a mom that went to "husmorskolen"(House wife school in the 60`s). Grown up on Pannekaker and a lot of fish meals. First of all, good job! They do look like Pannekaker! I would cook each side a bit more evenly, a bit more of that maillard reaction on each side? We did use to put a lot of sugar on the Pannekake in the old days, but the most common condiments are indeed blueberry jam, brown cheese, sour creme and bacon. Not all at once. :P You would typically either go sweet or savory. And by the way, most of us still just eat it whole. Take care. :)
You just made our day!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You take care, and please stay in touch!
I will have to try these, love your videos 😊
Thank you so so much!!!

In Iceland or western Icelanders we use brown sugar and roll up. No butter but I like the way you think lol

Palačinky. I make them in 2 crape pans at the same time.
My Oma made those. I wish I had paid attention.
I'm 41% Norsk and 14% Svensk and LOVE pannekaker! Married a Norsk Viking, born and raised, so do a lot of baking. Lived in both countries for a total of eleven years. Do you make boller and looper as well?
Lomper, not looper! LOL
We don't, but now you've got us curious!!!
Uff da! Those look delicious!
Uff da!!!! LOL!!!!! LOVE IT!!!
@@HowToFeedaLoon I had a maternal Swedish Grandpa and Norwegian Grandma. "Uff day" is my 'replacement swear', and I probably say it a dozen times a day! ROFL
Do you have a good recipe for lefsa
We'll add it to the list!!!
Just curious, how many grams is a stick of butter?
Here in Australia, you can either get 250 grams or 500 grams.
It's a little over 113 grams. Hope this helps!!!
You didn't let the batter for 20-30 minutes...lol
how are these not crepes?
They are very similar, just a little more 'eggy'...
Ah yes the Pannekaker, at home in Norge we put Lingonberry sauce and whipped cream, powder sugar to top
Someday we plan on making it to Norway so we can enjoy Pannekaker with lingonberry sauce!!!!
