I always make great buttermilk pancakes. I'll try your recipe next time. God bless you. Update: cowboys and cowgirls, you can throw away your buttermilk now. These are indeed the lightest, fluffiest pancakes I've ever had, they are. The honey gives it a special kick that will have you singing all the way to Oklahoma. The only change I made is that I used light brown sugar instead of regular sugar because I like it better. This is the first recipe I try from Mr Rollins and oh boy, it's amazing. My wife and our toddler agree. Measure your flour well, just like in the video. Make sure that you use extra large eggs, and do not overcook. The first time I tried them they came out dry. I used large eggs (not extra large) and I probably overdid the flour (I just scooped it), so the batter was thicker. I may have overcooked them too. Seriously, stop paying $15 for a stack of pancakes in a restaurant; these pancakes are much better, friendlier to your wallet, and they are done in 15 minutes.

Hey there Kent, as I saw this video come up on my feed I am probably only a few hours from making some pancakes here in my homestead. My wife and I like all kinds of pancakes but my favorite lately is one I came up with based upon my tortilla recipe. If you feel like trying it out, I'll share with you: - 1/3 cup of Masa Harina - 2/3 cup white flour - 1.5 tsp Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/4 cup corn oil - 1/5 cups of milk - 2 large eggs, beaten You know whaat to do with the ingredients but this recipe makes some delicious corn flavored pancakes that are amazing with syrup or honey on them. The mixture of the savory and sweet just works out. Also, if you leave out the milk and eggs and add in 5 oz. of water, you can make some delicious tortillas. They hold together better than full corn tortillas and they are much more flavorful than all white floured one.
Perfect timing for sharing this video. Tonight, I made these pancakes for dinner. I used sour cream instead of milk, agave syrup instead of honey and bacon grease instead of butter to fry the cakes. So good. Thank you for the video and for sharing this recipe. Be well and blessed! 😊🙏🌹
I have a small cast iron griddle that came with a skillet cookie kit. It holds exactly one quarter cup of batter. It makes consistent sized pancakes all day!
My small skillet costs a lot of time, took me about 45 minutes to bake one batch of 8 pancakes including the prep and cleaning. Baking 3 at a time is much faster.
We used to be a Clabber Girl family but one day my store was out so I bought the Aluminum free brand and tasted the difference. Been using the Aluminum Free brand for about 4 years now and have no regrets. 😊 Absolutely love your channel! So excited to try this pancake recipe this morning. ❤
I agree 100% I switched to Aluminum free baking powder when I was hunting down a good biscuit recipe to have with Honey. Every recipe I found just tasted a little off. Then I don't remember if I found a recipe that specifically said Aluminum free baking powder or if it was in the reviews or what, but a lightbulb went off right when I read that. And I thought to myself: "That's it! That's what's wrong. It just has a slight metallic taste." I went and bought aluminum free and that was a game changer!
We love little quick videos but we also love longer. We love all of them really 💜💕! My daughters and I use aluminum free baking powder too. Thanks for showing people how to measure four!

So excited to see you put up a video about making pancakes. I'm one of those that have never had much luck with them, so I appreciate your sharing your expertise. I’ve been on the hunt for a really good pancake recipe and I think this might be it! The pancakes were soft and fluffy but with a very slight chew, the honey added great flavor! I also added vanilla
Kent this recipe is elite. The family has repeatedly inhaled them at a rate I consider to be unnatural. Tried a little twist today. Crumbled up a few strips of crispy bacon in the batter and made bacon pancakes. It was an elite breakfast experience. Thank you for your wisdom. God bless.
Thank you Kent and Shannon for another wonderful show. The fluffy pancakes made me think of something else. Do you have or have you thought about a Dutch oven "monte christo" sandwich? I love those things but not really available in a lot of restaurants. We appreciate what ya'll do.
Love this pancake mix. My 4 and 6 year old kids love this. I made these pancakes, eggs sausage and bacon and your biscuit and gravy with some hash browns. Made a big country breakfast when wife's family was in town. Fed about 8 people. For lunch did your chicken n dumpling recipe and dinner did your Chilli recipe. Her family thinks i am an ace at cooking. I told them to watch your videos that is where the recipe came from.
Holy Kettle! That was some good pancakes. I have never liked "thick pancakes" previously since they have always been too "bred'y" but these tastes just like they look. Fluffy and soft. 10/10 in flavour and texture. Thank you from Sweden. 🇸🇪

I know it may taste great compared to a boxed mix, but it's just your standard pancake recipe. Never understood why people buy the boxed stuff when you can whip up a batch in seconds with common ingredients.
As always, thanks for the videos. I really enjoy the simple recipes that can be cooked at any mealtime and don't take too much effort or need a shopping list worth of ingredients. I'll have to try these tomorrow and see how they turn out at higher altitude. o/
I just started grinding oats in a food processor, milk a few eggs and some adult beverage from the islands. M going to add the honey I like that. Keep the video coming !!
your recipe is very close to the one we use here at our place except for the soda (although we do use it in our waffle mix) may just have to give it a try. We add vanilla but we also put a wee bit ot nutmeg in the batter...and sometimes I get a few of our local wild blueberries thrown in the batter while they're cooking on the first side...mmm I'll have to give your recipe including the honey a try...thanks for sharing it. Cheers from New Brunswick,, Canada...eh.
I've been making my mom's old recipe cookbook version for a long time. I wanted to try out a new one. This is amazing! I used to have 8 of my mom's pancakes every Sat morning. 8 of Kent's are too much for me, the honey and the pancakes being fluffier causes more syrup to be absorbed. Have to cut back to 4 of Kent's instead, just too rich!
These look so good!!! I have to eat gluten-free now, so my hubs has turned into quite the gluten-free baker just for me 💕... He makes the best pancakes with Bob's Redmill 1-4-1 GF flour in the light blue package. He also likes to add honey. We are also Clabber Girl fans for both their baking soda & baking powder. It never fails... Though we do, however, also like to use HEB's brand of aluminum-free baking powder when we can get it (sorry you don't have HEB stores in your part of Texas/OK 😕). And regarding duck eggs??? YES!!!!! We have one girl Campbell duck we care for who gives us a hearty large-jumbo egg almost daily 💕. I grew up on duck eggs, & they're the best. Better than chicken eggs, IMHO - but I still love my sassy chicken girls who give us eggs daily, too (btw, Jersey Giants are the BEST for producing XL-Jumbo eggs!!). - Also another good pancake tips is to use agave nectar if you don't have pure maple syrup available 😁.
Gday Kent from Australia I dont use egg because it makes the cakes a bit rubbery I put the batter in the skillet and dip the pan round to make the cake thinner , butter the cakes one at a time then maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon then roll them up, love your show Cheers Robin
I saw this video last night, and made your pancakes this morning. WOW!! so fluffy! I used only one farm egg and half and half instead of milk. These were SO tasty! Thanks for the great recipe
My wife’s pancakes are the absolute best. But we decided to follow your recipe and it was delicious. They fluffed up and I got a little crunchy which I like maybe that was from the sugar caramelizing or the butter. Keep up the show Cowboy

- 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 1/5 cups of milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
You know whaat to do with the ingredients but this recipe makes some delicious corn flavored pancakes that are amazing with syrup or honey on them.
It makes consistent sized pancakes all day!
lol i got one of those as a gift for Christmas, things pretty cool if you ask me
My small skillet costs a lot of time, took me about 45 minutes to bake one batch of 8 pancakes including the prep and cleaning. Baking 3 at a time is much faster.
Kent, my husband, and I just made these pancakes and they were the best pancakes I have ever eaten! Thank you so much for your videos.
We used to be a Clabber Girl family but one day my store was out so I bought the Aluminum free brand and tasted the difference. Been using the Aluminum Free brand for about 4 years now and have no regrets. 😊 Absolutely love your channel! So excited to try this pancake recipe this morning. ❤
I agree 100%
I switched to Aluminum free baking powder when I was hunting down a good biscuit recipe to have with Honey.
Every recipe I found just tasted a little off.
Then I don't remember if I found a recipe that specifically said Aluminum free baking powder or if it was in the reviews or what, but a lightbulb went off right when I read that. And I thought to myself: "That's it! That's what's wrong. It just has a slight metallic taste."
I went and bought aluminum free and that was a game changer!
We love little quick videos but we also love longer. We love all of them really 💜💕! My daughters and I use aluminum free baking powder too. Thanks for showing people how to measure four!
I wasn't looking for this, but I'm glad I found this. We need more people like you in this country.
I’m drooling, I say Drooling over this video for pancakes ohhhh my goodness they look tasty. I can’t wait to make them. I especially love that you always say a heartfelt gratitude (a kind of prayer) to our service members. We wouldn’t be here without them.
Best pancakes I’ve ever made! They puffed up like marshmallows over a bon fire! So fluffy, delicious and easy!! Thank you!!!
Anything you wanna cook Kent, no matter short or long, we're gonna watch it. Love the twice a week schedule. I like to save Sundays vid for after work on Monday. Gives me something to look forward to after work.
My wife and enjoy your videos immensely Mr. Rawlins. Keep up the great work and your great dancing. The content is so entertaining.
Mr. Rollins... If it's a 3 minute video or a ln hour and thirty minutes, I never miss them! I have learned so many new ways to use my cast iron and dutch ovens from you!
Thanks Lola for watching
looks like another awesome tip from Cowboy Kent, Ive never trieed em with honey, but Im sure gonna...another good tip that the Cowboy didnt mention is to let your batter sit for like half an hour before cookin em...makes a big difference
I can't wait to try this recipe! As a veteran, I really appreciate the love you send to the servicemen and women of our great country!!
We thank you for your service and I hope you enjoy this
I’ve always made pancakes with Bisquick. I’m going to HAVE to try this recipe! Thanks Kent! I love your videos!! ❤️😋
The dry ingredients are literally bisquick. When I used a lot of it, I would make it in bulk. Kids moved out so we just go have people make pancakes for us instead now lol
that was my go-to, because it was sifted so well. i knew the baking powder trick. I use th e vanilla and cinnamon, but never honey.
With Bisquick the pancake comes out like biscuit not fluffy & soft.
@@increible3894 mom taught me the baking powder and confectioner sugar trick. I've used wheat flour, Bisquick, and King Arthur. I get good results out of each. Then again, i'm not "picky", I'm "hungry"
So excited to see you put up a video about making pancakes. I'm one of those that have never had much luck with them, so I appreciate your sharing your expertise. I especially liked it when you said you had to measure the ingredients this time to get them right. One tablespoon of baking soda for the pancakes and one for the wind! 😄
He said 2 teaspoon! Oh no you're getting your pancakes wrong again!
@@auburn.JoaoDuarte Thank you for catching my mistake!
I’ve just got to tell ya…I haven’t watched a Cowboy Kent Rollins for a few months and I have missed your voice, mannerisms, hearing Shannon, The Begue, and all of the other Doggos…and the food 😍 the amazing recipes. I am so glad to be hearing and seeing y’all! Sweet Blessing to y’all!
Glad your back with us
When I'm feeling down in the dumps Mr. Rollins never fails to pull me up by my straps. I appreciate every video you make sir, they are the best. My gf loves it too since I started cooking after watching your videos hahaha
Now I know what me and the pup are having for dinner. Thanks to both of you! Love your channel.💖
My mom use to separate the yellow and white part of the egg…whip the egg white to a cream and them add it to the mixture, and it made the pancakes so light and fluffy…. They were awesome… yours looked awesome also.
Thank you, Kent and Shan! We'll definitely try this pancake recipe. We love videos twice a week. Please keep them coming.
This was the first video i've watched on your channel and Mr. Kent's personality and explanations are addicting, and the show of respect and love at the end to the viewers is the most unique and sincere I have seen on youtube. Thank you for your amazing work to both of you and I look forward to trying this and many recipes on your show!
These are the absolute best pancakes I have ever had! The baking soda really made them good! I made a half recipe (like in the video) and got eight people size pancakes and four silver dollar pancakes for my two dogs. Kent's recipes are always great but he outdid himself with this one!
You know I like these recipes I have my own that are fantastic but it's a joy to see his twists and his insights when cooking and trying them for myself you're a fantastic cook
Thanks for sharing with us Kent and Shannon, them pancakes sure looked good. Stay safe up there and keep up the great videos and recipes. Fred.
I’ve been on the hunt for a really good pancake recipe and I think this might be it! The pancakes were soft and fluffy but with a very slight chew, the honey added great flavor! I also added vanilla
My Grandfather used to call them “flap jacks”! We always had some cane syrup on hand, wonderful. That’s comfort food!
Mr Kent, those pancakes look sooo good and also got my Dad and family watching your videos . Also trying some of your receipts
I'll have to give these a try . My wife and I just had your recipe for sourdough pancakes yesterday. We sure enjoy the sourdough cinnamon rolls too.
Mmmm that sounds wonderful!
These pancakes looks so lovely and fluffy Kent. I will definetely try out this recipe at home for a Sunday breakfast.
Holy Kettle! That was some good pancakes. I have never liked "thick pancakes" previously since they have always been too "bred'y" but these tastes just like they look. Fluffy and soft.
10/10 in flavour and texture.
Thank you from Sweden. 🇸🇪
Glad you enjoyed
@@CowboyKentRollinsmr.rollins i want pancakes too😢
This is the best video on receipe so far. The music, the presentation/procedure and the skillset is highly recommended. Brilliant man!! People like you defines professionalism.
Thanks so much
Kent and Shannon keep the great video's coming!! Love you guys you all are amazing!! Pancakes are my granddaughter's favorite trying your recipe asap!! God bless you both!! 🙏🙏
Kent, I've found that a "fish" turner style spatula works great in those smaller pans where you need a metal spatula. Lamson products makes a nice one here in America that has a walnut handle that will match your mesquite turner.
True story, I use the fish spatula for all my smash/griddle burgers.
KENT , i am cooking my sweety a breakfast supper today on my 2 burner ,4ft wide cajun cooker ,its a low pressure cooker thats perfect for frying or cooking ! . i am doing these honey pancakes today , breakfast owens sage sausage and light and fluffy scrambled eggs , whip em on high to get air in them !!!
i really always enjoy watching you and shannon !!!! God bless you both and all you have !!!!
I've never made pancakes from scratch, but this looks easy enough that even I couldn't mess them up.
Son it’s 9 o’clock at night they looked so good had to make me a batch. Yes sir delicious. Thanks for the tips and putting a confused look on my wife’s face.
Any time
Best pancakes recipe ive ever done! I was searching for this authentic recipe its pretty hard to find one thats actually excellent like this one thank you!
I’m late to the party but I love this guy. Subscribed.
Thanks so much for joining us
I love those dogs out in the background in the beginning of the video just being dogs
You are truly an American inspiration Cowboy Kent.
Hey kent , I made the pancakes for my dad and step mom this morning and they said that the recipe was amazing
I made these for breakfast and they were a hit with the family! I'm not buying boxed pancake mix ever again! Thank you both for all you do!
you can probably multiply this recipe and save in an airtight container for use later...
I know it may taste great compared to a boxed mix, but it's just your standard pancake recipe. Never understood why people buy the boxed stuff when you can whip up a batch in seconds with common ingredients.
Wouah! Followed recipe to the letter, just added a bit of salt. AMAZING recipe. Super fluffy, simply great!
As always, thanks for the videos. I really enjoy the simple recipes that can be cooked at any mealtime and don't take too much effort or need a shopping list worth of ingredients. I'll have to try these tomorrow and see how they turn out at higher altitude. o/
Can't beat a bit of Cowboy Kents cooking, looks yummy as always 😋
I just started grinding oats in a food processor, milk a few eggs and some adult beverage from the islands. M going to add the honey I like that. Keep the video coming !!
Sounds like a winner to me
now that's what I call breakfast done right, I'm so glad to be your new subscriber! keep them coming.
your recipe is very close to the one we use here at our place except for the soda (although we do use it in our waffle mix) may just have to give it a try. We add vanilla but we also put a wee bit ot nutmeg in the batter...and sometimes I get a few of our local wild blueberries thrown in the batter while they're cooking on the first side...mmm
I'll have to give your recipe including the honey a try...thanks for sharing it.
Cheers from New Brunswick,, Canada...eh.
I started cooking different homemade southern dishes all the time because of this guy, love the content I hope the recipes never end, I love cooking🙏
Thanks for watching and glad you're enjoying
@@CowboyKentRollinsNo problem thank you sir
I am Venezuelan in Colombia and admire U.S. culture 🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰
If kent told stories on amazon audible, id buy them in a hear beat. Hes like my all wise grandpa that I never had.
Gday Kent from Australia I dont use egg because it makes the cakes a bit rubbery I put the batter in the skillet and dip the pan round to make the cake thinner , butter the cakes one at a time then maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon then roll them up, love your show Cheers Robin
I tried this recipe and I worked as magic. Best pancakes I've ever made! Greetings from Peru Cowboy Kent, you are an inspiration!
Muy ricos 😋😋 very delicious thanks for the receipt 👨🌾
Thanks for visiting
Love this series!
I saw this video last night, and made your pancakes this morning. WOW!! so fluffy! I used only one farm egg and half and half instead of milk. These were SO tasty! Thanks for the great recipe
A big fan of raw honey so the addition of that into this recipe makes me happy. I'm wondering if this recipe would turn out a good waffle as well?
It might make do in a pinch but waffles have a different ratio of flour to milk
I use the same baking powder as shown in this video. Still haven't eaten a duck egg. Keep the videos coming!
if you can get them.....its worth it, cakes come out fluffy also.
@@bobhutto1624 Thanks for the recommendation!
My wife’s pancakes are the absolute best. But we decided to follow your recipe and it was delicious. They fluffed up and I got a little crunchy which I like maybe that was from the sugar caramelizing or the butter. Keep up the show Cowboy
When you see a Gentleman with a stout mustache and a flawless sombrero outdoors making pancakes, you BEST BELIEVE IT'S GONNA GO DOWN! 🔥🍽️🔥
I don’t eat pancakes too often, but I got to be trying me some of these!
and why not I try to eat them every Saturday morning that my mom or dad makes if were at home
Just cooked me up a batch of these pancakes and as a Brit it's the first time I've ever cooked or eaten American pancakes.
And I have to say there pretty good !!!!
Looks like it's now a regular thing in my house
So glad you enjoyed
I like to whisk the whites seperately and fold them in the batter for extra fluff. You don't need that much leavening that way.
