Steve--Excellent fly! I can almost see a large brown trout smashing it. Thanks Barry

I think that is a great pattern! I don't think I have seen anything like it before, so I must have a shot at it, thanks so much Barry

If you fish warm water or use searching patterns this is one you must have.

@@Thefeatherbender I fish for our prehistoric Goldeye in the North Saskatchewan River. I will most definitely try it out!

Great pattern, Barry. I think that pattern would fish well in silty areas with a lot of big burrowers.

Thanks James, well it is a burrowing mayfly nymph originally.

I am always ask something of a loss with zonker strips.
Never really keen on them... but this looks like a good warm water pattern.
    Thanks

Hi David, zonker strips are very versatile and lend themselves to many different patterns and techniques. They are also available in a huge amount of materials and colours! It's and excellent all round pattern that I am sure will be a killer in warm water as it is in fresh and salt.

The feather bender Well Barry, you can be sure it’ll be on my winter tying schedule!

Hvor stor er den? Jeg tenker på total lengde, ikke krokstørrelse. Jeg bruker zonker til imitasjon av småfisk, men har ikke brukt det til nymfer.

Som en danica nymphe, lit over to ganger krok lengde.
