In the spectrum of light is when this pattern can be most appreciated the most white is not a popular color by most fly fishers however the fish view the spectrum of light in UV this pattern will do well in low light and bright dirty water no problem thanks Barry

Would a Ostridge plume or regular marabou work just as good ? My local shop doesn't cary turkey marabou.
Sure it would, although you may have to adjust the technique a little.
Is this a good fly for fishing in Pennsylvania from early Fall until late January? I just tied a few of these to see if I could do it, so so fun!
Difficult for me too say, but if there are nymphs there it should work! Good luck with it.
