WHOA! Thanks for your coverage of DANCERUSH! I'm the dancer at @5:16 for reference. Im also one of the ambassadors and faces of DANCERUSH in the US, top players, and the organizer for the largest tournament in the US that will be going on its 3rd year! (I occasionally stream too, had to take a break due to knee issues, but back next week!) You were spot on in your coverage of competitions, think of it like breakdancing or ice skating routines at the Olympics, but also add the fact that your dance moves have to accurately hit the notes as your final score is the combination of the judges scores and your in-game score! Its tough stuff. The community truly is wholesome, with people of all skill levels playing and sharing their love of the game, music and dance! Every major tournament ends up woth a big group of us just having a dance cypher outside of the arcade and sharing moves.
i wish my country had cabinets of DANCERUSH. It looked so fun the moment i saw a vid on youtube some odd couple of years ago. sadly arcades in my area are just casinos disguised as children's playgrounds, lol. There are the odd cabinets of actual games like DDR, SDVX or Tekken every now and then and I always took the opportunity to play those and gather a crowd for a few minutes.
DanceRush did get a 2 second spotlight during the Japan 2020 Olympics in a montage featured during the commercial bumpers, but unfortunately I can never find it and I'm afraid it might be lost to time now :(
Thank you for featuring us for a short bit (shown at 6:49) but more importantly, a huge thanks for mentioning Dancerush in the competitive scene and showcasing it in the limelight!
I mean, Dance Rush Stardom is also a Konami game, part of Bemani, the same company that makes DDR lmao. But afaik the DDR scene is larger than the stardom scene atm but also KAC is just huge af in general
Yeah we are niche, but the weird part is that we are surprisingly active with competitions globally on average monthly. It's not as popular because compared to the other bemani games, it's the newest with limited access outside of Asia to only independent arcades and Round 1 in the US, 4 machines in Europe, and a handful in Australia (which has a HUGE DRS scene)
Dancerush Stardom is the rhythm game that convinced me to get fit and pick up shuffling, so I’m super glad to see it get coverage! It holds a special place in my heart and everyone deserves to give it a shot at least once.
8:47 i think you meant to say July 7th 2004. I was really confused and thought their first ladder reset was not only this month and year, but also they did 20+ more resets throughout july for D2😅
as a retired Pump It Up pro player, Dance Rush Stardom looks super interesting, I'd die to buy one of those arcade cabinets and put it in a local arcade around here, looks sick
I love vids that highlight some niche competitive scenes. I'm a fan of the Risk of Resources runs, and am a Killer Queen organizer myself, both of which were featured in your last video. This month, I'm participating in a competitive Pyre league, and totally gonna get my butt kicked by some killer players
I think you should look into the Monster Rancher 2 competitive scene. It's unique in that the actual tournaments are completely automated and all the player input happens before the fight, in training their respective monsters.
Lmao. "We have some weird stuff but it may be dangerous for your health" Shows a vr helmet and a floor covered in.... a substance that looks like vomit.
im begging you to cover the larger rhythm game competetive scene, watching high level sound voltex, ongeki, chunithm, or maimai is super mesmerizing to watch
Just fyi, DRS doesn't use pressure sensors. Inside the bezel around the platform is a grid of IR sensors, that's how it tracks movement. The LED platform is 100% just for aesthetics, there are no sensors under there.
There is a Custom Robo competitive scene that has their own banlists and meta you could talk about though they mostly stick to their discord so it’s kinda hard to find info on it outside of that.
@@Noxso1 if you ask about some example, I could give you some: DDR (like alot of people mention to), sound voltex, beatmania IIDX for the Konami scene (they even have Bemani Pro League as high-end esport scene) ; for SEGA we have Maimai (yes the washing machine game), CHUNITHM and ONGEKI (sadly only Japan have) Hope it helps
As long as at least 2 people have interest in one game. It's got potential for e sports
Competitive Spin the bottle?
The Ungame at EVO when

Is there a way to find an arcade that has it?
@@remixtheidiot5771I hope you get one soon!!!! I want to see your dance!
Saw u at GDQ! Awesome performance! DDR player myself but what yall can crank out is unbelievable! Keeep going!;)
@@mimixis hopefully I'll see you at a tournament sometime soon!!!
I guess, DanceRush can also become a good Olympic sport, if they suddenly again decide not to add any top e-sports due to in-game violence
For DanceSport part? That might be a good idea!

THE INTRO TAKING A SHOT AT LEAGUE 😂😂😂
4:27 That's Pump It Up though, not DDR, they're different games

Every other Bemani game is more popular than DR, from what I can tell, sadly.

Thank you I was looking for a comment that mentioned this😁
instant like for danganrompa 2 inspired intro, kept like for excellent gorilla tag gameplay
You mean the Zelda Item Shop Intro since OoT.
The Dancerush community owes you a big favor ❤

DANCERUSH MENTIONED!!!!!! 😍👟🔥💦
If only Dancerush Stardom's official esports was more *inclusive* , we would see that guy 4:40 killing it more often at KAC
as a retired Pump It Up pro player, Dance Rush Stardom looks super interesting, I'd die to buy one of those arcade cabinets and put it in a local arcade around here, looks sick
Rock ! Dance Rush is the video game of all time that involves real life dancing sport too haha

Dance rush stardom look so cool as an eSports
DDR also had a whole pro league that ran for months last year
Echo Arena was one of my favourite "Esports" to watch, and it's the closest thing to a irl sport in VR without being based off of a irl sport
This is the most "legally distinct from Action Bronson" bit I've ever seen though to be fair I don't know if there's that many out there
Loving the Hades music for Diablo. Excellent reference.
DANCERUSH STARDOM MENTIONED !

dancerush mentioned
4:27 saying DDR and showing Pump it did psychic damage to me
I love it when as channels grow, their production and editing goes up with it. I loved the opening
That winston edit killed me
i love dancerush but you NEED to make a video on the DDR e-sports scene. literally the craziest, most dedicated and competitive players ever.
Lmao. "We have some weird stuff but it may be dangerous for your health" Shows a vr helmet and a floor covered in.... a substance that looks like vomit.
ok the merkava bit made me laugh 1:50

As someone who grinded the heck out of Echo VR this video makes me mad that it flopped.
D2 is definitely one of the greatest games of all time!

The intro alone already make this 10 time better
I love content like this cause afterwards I go and watch all of the esports mentioned
I didn't expect the OoT nostalgia at the start of this video. Made me sit up while I had this playing in the background 😂
There is a Custom Robo competitive scene that has their own banlists and meta you could talk about though they mostly stick to their discord so it’s kinda hard to find info on it outside of that.
Damn, your production quality have just been getting better and better! Love the intro! Keep it up ❤❤
Super cool, never knew about these before ! Keep up the pog content
you should cover bemani pro league next, its rhythm game esports that actually very competitive and fun to watch.
Diablo 2 also has a great pvp community as well as speed running. You should check it out
Yooo dancerush.....
Mannnn it's been 2 years I'd never played that again
Saying "DDR" with Pump it Up b-roll is a crime and you know it
As a RGC member, I’m well aware of competitive Dancerush
The production values are through the roof!
7:03🎶Asmodeus! Satanas! Lucifer!🎶
Mind putting the music used in the video in the description? The song used in the beginning of the DanceRush section was lowkey heat
Question, was the opening part where you simulate walking downwards, is that a reference to Jazzpunk? Lmao
Oh! I see you've _been_ having fun with intros. XD Hell yeah~
These games lowkey should be at the Esports Olympics, seriously
They created the organization a few weeks ago :>>
lmao i started watching Farming Simulator League because of your channel and weirdly i might consider DanceRush Stardom as well 🤣
Can’t believe we got an appearance from John Akshon himself
i recommend you do a video on stardust valkyries. super cool game and awesome fan base
DANGANRONPA MENTIONED RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Ah ha, Johnson is Morshu now
dancerush mentioned!!!
Great video, love when you cover miscellaneous and niche esports
The intro was really fun!
DRS is sick, everyone has to try it
Don't usually comment but that into was 10/10
Let's go, new Akshon Esports vid!
Finally someone not saying first
4:28 DDR, shows Pump It Up
The Persona 4 UI with Zelda sound FX is giving me whiplash.
That's actually the Danganronpa 2 UI!
I like how even 3 and 4 come out. D2 still the best diablo game for us.
wow didnt think id see D2 ladder
That intro was amazing
this is awesome!! love the intro
editing on this one is great
love the editing
Thanks for the vid
Oh, wow. I've heard of all of these games!
By the way you don’t stomp in Dance Rush. You make a sudden downward motion to the webcam 😅
I saw the Diablo 2 splash screen om an arcade machine, which is why I instantly clicked the video.
im surprised that ms Excel esport isn't in this video
THATS NOT DDR THATS PUMP IT UP
Do another one, its sooooooo intresting!
Really great video guys.
Beautiful intro
Yo I love the intro ahahahaha
Fire intro
God that gorilla game seems brutalll, I'd hate to play it ngl
Good ahh intro

There should be an entire video on them.
I hope so, is just that idk if they think that one is worth covering or not though. Afterall, those are really niche genre
@@OzTheWiz404I mean, so are fighting games.
And clearly they just did something niche with these.
Super Smash Brothers? You're gonna have to show me an age certification for that one.
