Is there a suspension set up for a 2015 Accent? I know I’d probably be better off getting a car that has known parts but it’s my ride and as slow as it is it’s still kinda fun lol
man it would be great if you guys do a coilovers setup video, from lowering, preload aspect of the coilover and maintenance, I know this is a fast kind of video but If you guys can do a bit more in depth to understand it more.

@@marunero3 any japanese car in the conditions you just said. Had to cut down and redo my whole rear shock towers on my 07 Impreza because they were about to fail. 07 isnt exactly old yet in my book. German cars seems to hold up way better imo
I put coilovers on my last two cars because they had basic blah suspension plus they were old units. Mad a huge difference. I just left the stock suspension in my brz because it’s already low and has great performance better than some of the aftermarket coilovers I bought. Just needs tire upgrade from those Primacy to get the most out of its cornering and maneuvering ability.
Everyone always talking about coilovers and lowering their car and drifting, and here I am more concerned with trying to get a good balance between maximum ground clearance and minimizing body roll because I am far more into rallying. Stiff enough to corner like a dream, but soft enough to handle bumps and jumps like butter, but most importantly, durable enough to not bend or break going sideways at speed. Since everyone is always talking about that stance life, I feel lost out here on my own.
Great stuff. A lot of people I know and helped adjusted suspension for sometimes believe that the recommended manufacturers settings are set in stone, when its really.. just a recommendation. Also 16-64 clicks just means more stops. The damping changes on a 64 clicker is a bit too much I end up adjusting them 5-10 clicks at one go to get appreciable difference. Here's to everyone starting to tune suspension right and finally realise the oem suspension is an exercise in cheaping out manufacture
I have experience with high quality coilovers and Ebay specials. I have a set of Megan Racing Street performance with adjustable dampening, height adjustment and preload adjust, with front camber plates. A buddy got Ebay specials and the spring was loose and they only worked ok if you slammed the car so the spring wasn't loose. $1000 compared to $200. Spend the money right. You, and your car, will thoroughly enjoy it.
As soon as Alex said “a cold spotted cow” I could hear the midwestern gods chuckling as one asks “ope, mind if I sneak past ya” and the other replying “yeah, no you’re good”
So I'm new to running coilovers, I did just purchase a set of Silver's Neomax coilovers. Something I would like to see is more of a how to guide for dialing in your suspension. I honestly know nothing about properly dialing it in, and so many TH-cam videos are people just going max low and calling it good. I do know that theres a lot more to it than just that.
2022 (same as 2020) Subaru Outback. Each time people talking about coil overs every one assumes it is for racing. I want to adjust the coil over to be soft when going to a mountain trail and when I am coming back to a highway I'd like to make hard-er suspension. Also, I'd like to be lower in the summer (Clearance 7-8 inches), and for the winter I like to be higher (clearance 8.5 - 10) Any suggestions?
Fitment I've been watching you for a while long while but I had to ask what's the name of that brown 5 spoke wheel in the top corner of the screen, cause they look real nice.

im curious now that you explained that, i have a full set of "Megan Racing" coilovers on my car now and i will be dialing in my fitment as time goes on, i haven't adjusted anything with my damping and the ride quality is amazing and the look i have now is really good. P.S. i only had them for about 3 months now. im looking to go for a nice static fitment.
I would like to get coilovers eventually for my car(1999 acura 3.5rl). Due to my driveway, I would like to keep my ride height though. Can you do that and still get some... Of the benefits of the coilover? I replaced all my struts and the front of my car still dips a lot when I'm driving on the freeway.. Atleast two bumps then the front rocks side to side then goes flat again... Thanks!
I just bought a 96 Civic hatch! I wanna have suspension built to a track spec in those words meaning for curvy roads! I am interested in bc racing coilovers but like u said about springs I’m be honest I don’t no what to order!
Something to always know about coilovers... Depending on the setup. It's not a set it and forget it type of affair. You will be adjusting and fine tuning both your look and your ride up to a year later... And possibly even at the beginning of every season because the average temperature changes. Sometimes a lot depending on where you live.
Just want to say i installed ST-X coilovers on my Honda CL9 last week, and it had to be either KW, ST-X or AP because things have to be tuv-approved here in Denmark for inspection. There i said it xD
