I will definitely watch the video. In the warmer weather I tend to wear less makeup. I'm 50 years old and my usual go to is tinted moisturizer that I Create with drugstore products I already have, a cool toned bronzer stick by MEME on Amazon and the Tony Moly balm in Ginger flavors. My complexion is a light cool olive so adding color is a bit tricky without looking over done.
@@HaydeeSophia I’ll be uploading this summers’ tinted moisturizer video in a few weeks. I’m curious to see if any I reviewed last year are among your favorites? 💜
I am a 58 yr old newbie to makeup! In my youth, like most Marcia Brady fans, I was a teenage model lol! I share that because my makeup was always done by pros, the extent of which depended on the event (catalog, runway, shoot, etc). So I never learned to do it myself very well, esp in the late 70s/early 80s, when Bonnie Bell lip gloss and baby blue eyelids were the rage, and hardly a challenge. But, I digress. First, I wanted to commend you - your energy and patient instruction is so engaging! This is the only makeup video I think I've ever watched, so I'm glad it was one of yours! I just...don't...know...how...to start. I go to a makeup store and am so overwhelmed by options and brands, that I end up either leaving empty handed out of overkill, or I get so deer-in-the-headlights that I just grab something and HOPE it will work on my mature skin. Sadly, it never does, so I just give up even trying. I went to an Ulta and asked for help. I followed a pro's advice, spent a small fortune on a base after she applied it for me. I got it home, did it myself, and was so deflated when I saw how much MORE my crows feet were evident. I have eye bags, but don't know how (if its even possible) to hide or reduce them...whatever I try just seems to make me look like...I'm WEARING A TON OF MAKEUP to try and hide something that is now just pronounced! Sorry for the verbal vomit...I'm just exhausted, but really, really, want to feel my best, especially after a horrendous divorce from a Defcon 2 narcissist (27 years). Ugh.
The things I've seen suggested for eye bags are chilled cucumber slices, specialized eye masks, and there was some sort of thing I saw promoted on Amazon one time - some sort of glass thing that you keep chilled in the fridge until you're ready to use it. A gua sha device is supposed to help too because it can help move fluid that's collected there. If you have a health condition that's causing fluid retention below the eyes, you may need to stay on top of whatever treatments help manage that for you.
P.S. ~ Sometimes makeup accentuates the things you'd rather minimize, especially as you get older. 🤷♀️ It's probably one of those things where you have to do some experimentation to find out which products give you the current best version of you.
That is some really difficult things to deal with! The makeup videos can be daunting. I like the Pampered Wolf, she’s also wonderful. Not a ton of chatting which annoys me so much. Good luck, you are a strong woman❤
You can try eye contour massage, and facial linfatic drainage massage. Soft massage the eyes in circular motion: from inner corner of eye to the bone outside, then to the internal part of the eye inferior area.. clockwise and counterclockwise.. Dont press the eyes, just the fixed eyelid top and bottom. Massage also the face, sides of face, and sides of neck. You have to be constant, patient, soft and gentle. In a few days, no more eye bags. I use rose hip oil on a damp face, or nivea cream, or olive oil..
@@charmc4152the good news is skincare and makeup can do awesome things for you and there is no bad news! You just have to be patient while you try different things...for eye bags cheap black tea is great...I use black tea bags ( the tea bag itself is white) the cheaper the better (pour boiling water in a cup over the tea bag for a couple minutes while it steeps...then put tea bag in refrigerator Make 2 at a time and when they're cold lay down with tea bags on your eyes for 3 minutes or take a little nap, whatever gives you results ...you can rinse your eyes with cold water or just pat dry...there are so many makeup techniques for dark circles. Undereyes, just keep trying til you get the look you want...that's what we all do...keep trying and it keeps getting better ...remember that a sincere loving smile is your most attractive...you sound like such a wonderful person, I wish you the very best...if you want to know something, keep asking...we ladies like to help each other...
I am 58 years old and I am aging nicely. I would advise every woman to drink collagen powder or take collagen supplements. Being an African-American , our skin is different. However, we all need extra collagen. I’ve been drinking collagen for over 15 years. And I do not use foundation or concealer. I play with it from time to time just because I wish I did know how to utilize it. However, my natural skin is doing well. So I advise ever woman to start now. It may be so helpful. But do whatever is clever because make up is fun. And as far as your make up. I can’t tell the difference. You still look good either way.😊
What makeup artists do is for special situations, and to achieve a specific look, not for everyday. Aquaphor Lip Balm is made for lips and I'm pretty sure the package says keep away from eyes. I'm sure Scott Barnes isn't concerned that people will develop milia around their eyes with all the wax in that stick. I'd check with a dermatologist before using it.
So true, SB and many makeup artists’goal is to create a look that can last through photo shoots. And as you point out "special situations". Thank you for sharing this reminder to the group. 💜
I just stumbled across your channel & THANK YOU!! Finally an actual woman in 50’s give hints & tips ! Getting tips from 20-30 yr olds with no aged skin issues is generally less than helpful !! Aquafor side does look more supple and it looks like your make up went on with more of a natural look
So happy you found our little corner of TH-cam. We are a small but mighty tribe sharing what were learning about aging skin and looking our best no matter where we are in our skincare and makeup journey. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about you feel this hack turned out. 💜
@notmycircusmymonkeysfly497 Same - My skin has changed dramatically over this past year. I'm 52 with increased redness in the cheeks & left side of my lips. And the texture of my skin, I cannot figure what to do. I've never had to give skincare & make-up much thought, so I'm excited to find your channel so I can watch what you're dealing with & how you help yourself with mature skin!
@@HapticFrequencies So excited you have found our community as well. There's. tone of videos to watch. My best advice is to start with my basics video. go.shopmy.us/p-9390551 Skincare can be very confusing when first starting your journey. Keep us all posted on your progress! Have a great weekend. As always feel free to reach out with questions.
I am 52 and love this hack, it doesn’t take any fine lines away but it definitely doesn’t make anymore and I always avoided setting powder on the under eye but I can with that hack.
Thank you Cindy for doing this makeup so we can see the difference between the two sides perfectly. More precisely, that there is almost no difference... 😋Maybe the side treated with Aquaphor is a little brighter, but I only see that when I really want to notice it. Your video is extremely helpful! 🥰
You are so welcome! I totally agree! Almost no difference on my 58 y/o skin. Just a tad of glow. Which for me in my really dry climate with my really dry skin is a bonus, but am I gonna take the time to do this before I minimals make up routines likely not.., maybe before evening out or super dressy event.. but honestly honestly, I can’t see myself ever wearing this much makeup lol!!
You're such a beauty!!! And what a thorough test!!! I personally couldn't see much of a difference on the under-eye area. However, as you said, on the nasolabial folds it seemed to reduce skin texture/add glow! Not something I'm ever going to try though not when I have the joys of acne and milia-prone skin! 😅
@@Carolann17 you’re so welcome! Glad to have you as part of the beyond 50 skin family. After years of neglecting my skin, at 50 I was just in shock at how drastically my skin was changing! In just a few short years suddenly the sun exposure and lack of caring for my skin caught up with me …..along with menopausal changes. It was quite shocking. I completely empathize with your skin struggles. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I’ll do the best I can to help you with any recommendations or just chat about what you’re struggling with. 💜Cheers Cindy
Thank you so much for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The blush is super bright but kind of a nice fun change. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday.💜
It was cross-contamination because she went on the Aquaphor side first and then went over to her non-Aquaphor side face basically blending the two products together
I believe the side with the Aquaphor looks better - I love the dewy look! As I've entered my 50s, taking care of my health and well-being has become a priority. I'm striving to be more active, embrace a healthy lifestyle, feel beautiful, and shed excess weight to ensure that I can fulfill my life's purpose for as long as possible. Your demonstration was fantastic, and I'm eager to try the blush and Hourglass products. While I've always been a fan of Georgio Armani foundation, I've found that Este Lauder Futurist complements my skin better. I'm not a fan of the matte look on myself. I've just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to see more. Best wishes with your grand puppy!
Apologies for my delayed response. I was on holiday and am just getting back and catching up on comments. So excited to have you as part of the beyond50skin community 💜. I too started skincare (still working on health(ier) lifestyle habits) in my early 50s after neglecting my skin. I did a review on all my Hourglass favorites. They are a new find this year. I never really wore much makeup until a few years ago. I was always intimidated by application techniques and dont get me started on my anxiety over applying blush correctly!! Slowly thanks to YT I am improving. The grand puppy has doubled in size and my grandson is now walking so it's been a busy but wonderful summer. Hope you and your's are enjoying the summer as well!!😊
I have crazy, dry skin underneath my eyes. I tried this hack but the lip balm didn’t quite work for me. I then tried Aquaphor Healing Balm Stick, Skin Protectant. The product looks like a lip balm container but is about three times bigger than the lip balm. It’s not as dry as the lip balm and not as greasy as the ointment. I use it twice a day on my face around my lips area and underneath my eyes. In the morning I put it on underneath my eyes and let it soak in for a while before I put on my make up. It’s made a difference in reducing dry flaking underneath my eyes make up. At night I use it with other face creams and eye creams. If you have extremely dry skin underneath your eyes, this might work for you.
@@donkiml5805 Thank you so much for watching and for sharing how your using the Aquaphor Healing Balm. It’s so interesting how different formulations work better for some than others. Thanks for being part of this Beyond50skin community 💜
No no hot flashes. I'm on HRT and no longer get them. This makeup definitely held up though the day. A much heavier makeup look than I wear. I am a no-makeup makeup girl or just skincare and SPF most days. :)
I can honestly say, it does make a difference in my under eye but ONLY because I have extremely dry skin. I like that the Aquaphor has SPF35 and let’s face it, it’s cheap.
It’s definitely a bargain I thought SB used the one w/o spf. Interesting to hear you find the one w/ spf works great too. Definitely an affordable technique:)
Thanks 🎉 I'm 50 . You look really good. I'm a redhead with a lot of freckles with sensitive skin.also, my skin tends to be on the red side . Every time i do my makeup, it always looks very cakey! I have to stay away from liquid makeup. I've been using a lot of powder products. But it really doesn't conceal much or help my marionettes.😢 Any help would be really appreciative. Cause i'm lost when it comes to make-up😮
Thanks for your question. I feel the same... makeup is a chore and I feel it NEVER looks right. So I have switched my perspective from 'covering" to a focus on skincare ...letting my skin shine through!!! I have a whole playlist on "minimalist" makeup ... skin first, makeup second is my philosophy! You can browse my video topics here ... www.youtube.com/@beyond50skin/videos .. leave me a comment on any of them and I'll get back to you on your specific questions 💜i also did a video on improving redness. Hope this helps and so glad to have you as part of the beyond50skin community :)
Are you wearing colored circle lenses? I find that as I get older my eye color actually looks more washed out and I started wearing circle lenses a few years ago and I found that they sharpen up my eyes.
Have you ever tried Il Mikiage primer or " wrinkle erase" tinted primers? Miraculous stuff! Only thing that has EVER worked for my wrinkles. They have try before you buy, check it out. ( No, I have no affiliation with them, LoL) I don't use power under my eyes, it always accentuates wrinkles, so I skip the powder. Blessings!
@@jenniferRainwater No, I’ve tried & liked some of their skincare products. Occasionally you run into fragrance in their products, but I’m pretty sure the primer doesn’t have any fragrance. Thanks so much for your recommendation 😊and I’ll have to look into it
Love love your blush and lip color.. not to mention your gorgeous eyes! I’m going to try this .. just trying to find a concealer that is a good match. Wish me luck lol.
I love this. I would get milia all under my eyes so not for me. But I just ordered a mini lawless primer that looks good! Going to give it a try! Thx , congrats on the puppy !!! Love dogs so much 🦮🦮
Yep, some people could definitely get Millia. It’s not greasy like Vaseline it’s got more grip & a dimethicone texture, not unlike a primer - not what I expected & less like a lip balm… the first ingredient is OCTYLDODECANOL - and not an inclusive the second is castor seed oil!!
Good point. Yes, there is a slight bit of transfer but not a significant amount to confound the outcome. Results are subtle but an easy and fast fix. How did it work for you? 💜
Thank you.I ppreciate you watching and your kind comment. I had ablative laser resurfacing at 54. It was a longer recovery than anticipated and not with out some side effects but over all has given me more youthful skin.
If you are going to use Aquaphor on your face around your eyes, I would suggest using a dedicated tube/stick for that purpose, particularly if you have herpes labialis (cold sores on the lips). Even if you don't have an active outbreak, you could still shed the virus, and if you are applying the Aquaphor to your lips too, or even around the marionette lines, and it inadvertently comes into contact with your lips, you could risk autoinoculating yourself with the herpes virus in other areas of the face, including the eyes.
Actually EXCELLENT POINT.. Hope SB is using a dedicated stick per client 😅… not good if not … assumed he did but Ya know what happens when you assume 😱!!
Thanks for sharing!! I’ve used that product before too. Takes a little perfecting because it’s a little finicky. I’ve kind of forgotten about it, but I certainly appreciate the reminder and it’s a good tip for those who have slight bags and loose skin in their under eye area area thanks for sharing and wishing a very happy day.💜
I found this Aquaphor stick as a stocking stuffer for daughter’s (nurse) dry hands and she loved it her lips also. Now I can it apply it as you suggest. Yeah!!!!
I wonder if this goes before or after sunscreen??? Second thing, what kind of foundation would go better on top of aquaphor, silicone? Of course not water based.
Great question about the sunscreen!! I touch on this in the video… Scott doesn’t mention if he uses sunscreen, I assume not but could be wrong. I use SPF it daily. So I did my skincare routine, including sunscreen, then went on with my make up … which sometimes includes a primer (but not today) I applied the Aquaphor as if it were a m asleep primer in the strategic areas i mentioned. In essence I considered the Aquaphor a primer… He also doesn’t mention if he uses a primer + the Aquaphor, which is very interesting… and would be helpful to know 😊. The hack is intriguing, but I feel like there are a lot of steps that may have been left out. It’s a little vague.🤔 Give them the price it’s worth a try !!
@@beyond50skin thank you for your response. I watched hundreds of videos where I see everyone put their makeup on right after the skincare. My skincare is not bad but sunscreen changes my make-up routine completely . Another thing, I see all the videos are made front of the camera inside settings. Makeup looks entirely different in outdoor sunlight. Maybe you want to make a video where make-up is appropriate for sunlight/ outdoor setting.
You’re 100% right! I just found out one of my favorite TH-camrs I follow for makeup tips only uses 1/5th the amt of sunscreen she should be using on a daily basis 😮 (10% if the recommended amt !) … Your question is really valid! How is our makeup realistically sitting under a typical and appropriate sunscreen application .., this is definitely worth an investigation!! Thanks for the inspiration 😊
@@beyond50skin awww, you r replied. Thank you so much for caring. Maybe that can be a topic of your next video. My makeup looks like a makeup, not natural. It feels like it's sitting on top of my skin. You're awesome 😎
It looks different for me. I live in Bali, don't know about aquaphor. Try to apply face oil before do your make up, it makes the make up last long and all the lines on your face looks smooth. Thanks for the video.
I’m definitely a fan of a good facial oil. I usually put it on as the last step in my evening routine but will try your suggestion. Thanks for watching & joining the conversation 😊💜
Respectfully....Not really noticable, but what WOULD be is dermaplaining so all the noticible hair on your face is removed, and dead skin removed. It can be done at home very easily. It would also look better if your lipstick or liner was fully applied to cover your entire lips (especially the bottom lip where it is most obviously missing). I would also be more precise with blush application as to not have it appear you have Rosacea as the final look. Those things would help a lot more then the Aquaphor.
@@1980palatine Thanks for all the makeup tips. I love dermaplaning. I have pretty sensitive skin so only do it every couple months. Yep, I’m no expert with makeup… didn’t even stat wearing it until I was over 50.
I agree. Or just get a Finishing Touch, and use that. It does not effect skin, no matter how sensitive. Hair grows every day, so it has to be removed every day. The blush is a nightmare, but the biggest ager is the gray hair.
Also, the guy that did the aquaphor video, he said DO NOT place any product on under eyes on the OUtSIDE. When you smile . . That area always creases when you smile.
I don’t care for chemical-based products but I will admit I use the Aquaphor outer eyes, (crinkle smile, lines) I am 52 years old and I was really excited about this new hack which is not new… Sophia Lauren taught me to put olive oil around your eyes ! There comes a time none of these little hacks will work for women of a certain age. I found no difference. My concealer still creased, and I consider myself somewhat of a make up concierge.❤
@@beyond50skin you’re so welcome! I will definitely try it again. At this time in my life, I am unable to afford Botox or fillers and it’s killing me ha ha.
Personally I dont but I have very dry skin and live in a very dry climate. So my situation may be different than others. I wear heavy moisturizers and facial oils to give you an idea how much my skin soaks up LOL. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any other questions💜

Worth it, definitely a little softer. On another note, your blush should not go past your pupil - keep it to the outer edge for a more pro sophisticated look
@@teresas683 Thanks. That’s a blush tip I haven’t heard of before. Thanks for the tip. I am definitely a makeup newbie. I didn’t even own any make up until a couple years ago. So I’m just learning.! 💜

@beyond50skin I think rules like "Don't go past the pupils" are a bit silly to be honest. Find what looks good for you, but honestly it's just makeup. It washes off!
I’m 66 now (how quickly THAT happened!) Anyway, I used all of this and it seemed to moisturize my under eye area along with the area around my mouth- not a huge difference, but enough to make me want to do it again- It just makes my face look a bit more moisturized, which is never a bad thing- I have my own weird beauty secrets I’ve learned as a performer years ago- Oh! I did find an IT makeup brush at Marshall’s for just $11.00 bucks yesterday- score! Their makeup brushes are a bit salty in price at Ulta, so this was a deal
Maybe the difference is seen after a certain amount of time, like several hours later. My makeup always rubs off, or turns a dark yellowy orange, and crepes after even and hour or two of wear time. I’m going to try it and see for myself.
Exactly! There are so many products out there like this. I think it’s funny it’s like a “new discovery”. especially a tip that’s been used for years lol!! “What’s old is new. What’s new as old “💜
@@beyond50skin For what it's worth, I see your hair color as glamorous, hip and sophisticated, especially with the cut, and the way you dress and apply your makeup. It also, to me, makes a statement about self-confidence, self-acceptance and strength/independent thinking (v. being brain-washed and having one's confidence undermined by the relentless pressure on women around issues of looks and aging).

Im 37. I dont have dark circles but i feel like every creator uses concealer so i figured I would try this "hack" to help my fine lines and wrinkles. Idk what I'm doing wrong but i look 15 years older when i do this hack and the super stay powder doesnt help. Def look at other videos and do your research before you waste your money on this combo.
Your likely not doing anything wrong. You are one of many who say this hack doesn't work for them. One of my favorite everyday concealers for mature under eyes is it Cosmetics Bye Bye dark spots. It's very light weight and doesn't settle into line lines like most concealers. Good Luck on finding something you like and that works :)
Wasn’t the magic secret I was hoping for either… 1:33 definitely mixed reviews on all the videos I’ve seen as well. Thanks for watching and wishing you a veryhappy Happy Sunday.⭐️
@@Donna-vh5ym 100% this is for special occasions or PHOTO SHOOTS. Scott definitely doesn’t seem to be recommending this too for everyday As several people have pointed out in the comments this could cause milia under the eye. And the Aquaphor lip balm isn’t meant to be used under the eyes, nor anywhere on the face actually. I mentioned this was something he was doing for a special occasion in the video, but I should’ve put more of an emphasis on the fact that this isn’t an everyday thing. Thanks for watching and for commenting. Wishing you a fabulous day.💜
Great to hear! It really works fabulously for some people and for some people it doesn’t maybe it just depends on how many lines you have and your skin tight! Thanks very much for watching and wishing you a wonderful day💜
LOL, I've been using mine as a lip balm too! It's now riding around in my purse. IMHO focusing on a great skincare routine is the key to a more flawless makeup application. Thanks for watching and wishing you a skintastic day. 💜
Me neither. I use a Caffeine gel with a roller bottle and it kicks butt on Aquaphor. $20 on Amazon and it WORKSS!!! I use Rose water as a setting spray and it is the BOMB!!! A light mist and makeup doesn’t move. It has a natural SPF as well. It is low but it is something if I forget LOL!!!
@@fmallow2727 Hi thanks for watching. Appreciate your nice comment.. True is I’d kinda hard to see the difference on camera.. especially since it wasn’t a huge difference. Thanks again for commenting and wishing you a fantastic day.💜
I am not a huge fan of this powder (not fine enough for mature skin) I occasionally use powder if my under eye is shinny (very finely milled HG or Stila). But agreed mature skin and powder can be a no go! Thanks for watching and wishing you a fantastic week ahead. :)
What I like even more than this is a little bit of castor oil under my eyes. I'm 46 with some fine wrinkles. Not a lot. But I have noticed my wrinkles have gone down since putting the castor oil on.
@@CH-nb3nz Awesome. I did whole video on Castro oil for the face (th-cam.com/video/D5SeeXcdKN0/w-d-xo.html) I need to pay more attention to the eye area! Good reminder to start using it again as it can be very nourishing to the skin, especially when used overnight as a facial oil.💜💜
@@beyond50skin I will put a small amount of castor oil under my eyes right before putting my makeup on. I'll let it sit for a few minutes. It actually works wonderfully and as long as you set it with a powder it doesn't crease. My concealer has never looked smoother. But this is just my experience. I love it night and day.
Oh my gosh, dry as the dust bowl that’s me too!! …plus living in a pseudo desert climate certainly doesn’t help😬. I went back to visit family - super humid💦. My skin looked so much better … NOW that made me look younger😂😂😂! As far as using the Aquaphor lip balm, anything to keep that hydration in the skin is a bonus for me😊
Yes, the Aquaphor side is a little bit more dewy I agree. But I certainly don’t think it makes me look any younger.Lol Thanks for watching and wishing you a wonderful wonderful day💜

You still look good either way.😊
Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment💜 Have a great weekend!
Do not take collagen peptide if you have or had breast cancer!
THANK YOU!! I was thinking the same thing!
get the 2 pack without the sunscreen, it is a nice take along moisturizer and very non allergic! also works for other lines on the face.
@@GeeNoniGee The 3rd ingredient is bees wax. (Source: Amazon package image) Its fine for lips but I'd never put that around my eyes.
I was thinking the same thing including blackheads
So true, SB and many makeup artists’goal is to create a look that can last through photo shoots. And as you point out "special situations". Thank you for sharing this reminder to the group. 💜
I just stumbled across your channel & THANK YOU!! Finally an actual woman in 50’s give hints & tips ! Getting tips from 20-30 yr olds with no aged skin issues is generally less than helpful !! Aquafor side does look more supple and it looks like your make up went on with more of a natural look

I am 52 and love this hack, it doesn’t take any fine lines away but it definitely doesn’t make anymore and I always avoided setting powder on the under eye but I can with that hack.
@@jennysuebernoudy8448 Thanks for sharing your experience with this hack 💜
You have great skin. But I see no difference 😄
@@MaryWebb-k2u This hack was a bit of a bust, agreed.
58, no!!!!
There was absolutely no difference to the two sides of her face.
To be honest, I can’t see any appreciable difference.
Nope not much at all on camera, subtle bit under why makeup artists would use it for photo shoots. Thanks for watching 💜
Yes no difference

You're such a beauty!!! And what a thorough test!!! I personally couldn't see much of a difference on the under-eye area. However, as you said, on the nasolabial folds it seemed to reduce skin texture/add glow!
Not something I'm ever going to try though not when I have the joys of acne and milia-prone skin! 😅
Thanks for watching! No I suppose acne prone and milia prone skin wouldn't appreciate it as much as my desert dry skin :)
Great video Cindy! Pretty and glowy look especially on the aquafor side.
Yes, this tip definitely adds a glow. I think those with oily skin wont like this tip at all. Happy Wednesday :)

Amazing video. Your skin is so beautiful and that blush is to die for on you.
Precisely what I thought too.
Never cross contaminate if you want a full honest comparison

Left side looks a bit more moisturized. You have beautiful skin! Great video! 😊🎉❤
Glad you enjoyed and much appreciated for you kind comment. Happy Monday!
By any chance did you have a hot flash while wearing the aquaphor? And how’d the makeup hold throughout the day? Did it fall?
No no hot flashes. I'm on HRT and no longer get them. This makeup definitely held up though the day. A much heavier makeup look than I wear. I am a no-makeup makeup girl or just skincare and SPF most days. :)
I can honestly say, it does make a difference in my under eye but ONLY because I have extremely dry skin. I like that the Aquaphor has SPF35 and let’s face it, it’s cheap.
It’s definitely a bargain I thought SB used the one w/o spf. Interesting to hear you find the one w/ spf works great too. Definitely an affordable technique:)
for the eye makeup artist trick get the 2 pack that says no sunscreen. works for lines on the face too! good party makeup!
@@alomaalber6514 I bought both and saw no difference between the two. They both worked the same. I prefer spf.

Was thinking this too, I’ve heard thicker creams cause millia. I originally thought this was a review of the Korean face balms I’ve seen in k dramas 😅

You should’ve done the without aquaphor side first because you’re transferring aquaphor to the without side via your brush and fingers.
Good point. Yes, there is a slight bit of transfer but not a significant amount to confound the outcome. Results are subtle but an easy and fast fix. How did it work for you? 💜

@@shayekisitu Thank you. By the way i love your 1st name.
Yo no miro la diferencia lo que si se puede apreciar es que tiene una piel muy bonita humectada

Thanks for the tips super helpful. I appreciate you watching and wishing you a very happy day.💜
I wonder if this goes before or after sunscreen???
Second thing, what kind of foundation would go better on top of aquaphor, silicone? Of course not water based.
Great question about the sunscreen!!
I touch on this in the video… Scott doesn’t mention if he uses sunscreen, I assume not but could be wrong.
I use SPF it daily. So I did my skincare routine, including sunscreen,
then went on with my make
up … which sometimes includes a primer (but not today) I applied the Aquaphor as if it were a m asleep primer in the strategic areas i mentioned.
In essence I considered the Aquaphor a primer…
He also doesn’t mention if he uses a primer + the Aquaphor, which is very interesting… and would be helpful to know 😊.
The hack is intriguing, but I feel like there are a lot of steps that may have been left out. It’s a little vague.🤔
Give them the price it’s worth a try !!
@@beyond50skin thank you for your response. I watched hundreds of videos where I see everyone put their makeup on right after the skincare. My skincare is not bad but sunscreen changes my make-up routine completely .

@@beyond50skin thank you for the LOVE 😘.

@@teresas683 Thanks. That’s a blush tip I haven’t heard of before. Thanks for the tip. I am definitely a makeup newbie. I didn’t even own any make up until a couple years ago. So I’m just learning.! 💜
@beyond50skin I think your blush placement is perfect, it's very youthful and pretty on you
Have you seen @waynegoss. Boyfriend Blush video? th-cam.com/video/h-E6tCDaa10/w-d-xo.htmlsi=58r2fig38XWQZbBB now I have no idea how to apply lol😅
@@Macacihnaso kind .. blush is my bug bear.. apparently the way I applied even has a name! 😂😂😂 BOYFRIEND BLUSH!! th-cam.com/video/h-E6tCDaa10/w-d-xo.htmlsi=58r2fig38XWQZbBB
@@bethmollet4956 Great brush find!! Yes, the years do seem to creep up faster and faster as time zips by. So glad you tried this and are enjoying it💜
It works for my eyes!!! Love it ❤
So glad to hear this is working for you. Thanks for watching and contributing to the conversation💜
Maybe the difference is seen after a certain amount of time, like several hours later. My makeup always rubs off, or turns a dark yellowy orange, and crepes after even and hour or two of wear time. I’m going to try it and see for myself.
first of all you are absolutely stunning! I'm 40 and I would sell my soul for your beautiful skin! Thank you!
Thank you so much 🤗 💖

Exactly! There are so many products out there like this. I think it’s funny it’s like a “new discovery”. especially a tip that’s been used for years lol!! “What’s old is new. What’s new as old “💜
You're only 58 so you really do still look very youthful! Yes, dewy is even better. But you'd look even younger with hair in any color but grey. ❤
@@abigalemartin206 Thanks Abigale. You’re not the first to share my grey hair is aging.
@@Alice-xy3fi Thank you Alice for your kind and thoughtful comment. You put very eloquently how I feel about my greys. I appreciate you taking the time and for being part of the beyond50skin community💜
@beyond50skin I also think your hair looks lovely. Its what drew my attention to your video actually. Cheers
@@Jane-Doh 😊Thanks! What a lovely comment 💜
The Aquapher side is definitely more beautiful and softer
Thanks for watching & sharing your thoughts 💜
I use tula sticks , great video
Thanks for sharing your tip! 💜

Let us know how it turns out😊
You look so beautiful
Thank you for your lovely comment. Happy Wednesday!
Works pretty well on age 71 undereye. Still a little creasing but I find creamy concealers work much better on top than liquid.
@@krystrieu Thanks for watching and sharing your concealer tips 💜. I’ve had trouble with cream concealers clumping in lines. So you use your creamy concealer over aquaphor?
You are so pretty. 😊

Qué bonito maquillaje! te ves radiante :)
Thank you what a kind comment. I really appreciate it and wishing you a fabulous day.😊
I have watched several videos on this....mixed results all around. l didn't think it helped me much. But, I had to try!
Wasn’t the magic secret I was hoping for either… 1:33 definitely mixed reviews on all the videos I’ve seen as well. Thanks for watching and wishing you a veryhappy Happy Sunday.⭐️
@@beyond50skin Enjoy your Sunday as well!
What colour did you take for the Maybelline powder ? On the video it looks the same. Love your teeth by the way. Thank you 😊
Let me check! I’ll put it in the description. Thanks for watching and wishing you a happy Sunday.💜
I looked on the package and it only gives me a number. It’s 112.? so I assume that’s the number by color and then on the back it says 40.N ?
@@beyond50skin thanks
You have beautiful skin anyway, but I do like the Aquaphor side better
Thanks for your comment and for watching wishing you a fantastic day😊
I heard Scott really only does this for photoshoots and film shots. Thanks for showing us anyway.
@@Donna-vh5ym 100% this is for special occasions or PHOTO SHOOTS. Scott definitely doesn’t seem to be recommending this too for everyday
As several people have pointed out in the comments this could cause milia under the eye.
Wishing you a fabulous day.💜
It works amazingly- I am thrilled with this hack. Thank you!
Great to hear! It really works fabulously for some people and for some people it doesn’t maybe it just depends on how many lines you have and your skin tight! Thanks very much for watching and wishing you a wonderful day💜
Absolutely did not work for me, in fact my lines never looked work. Gave it to my kid as a lip balm.
LOL, I've been using mine as a lip balm too! It's now riding around in my purse. IMHO focusing on a great skincare routine is the key to a more flawless makeup application. Thanks for watching and wishing you a skintastic day. 💜
Oh no! That's too bad!
Yeah a bummer.
Mix It Aquaphor With Vick , It Work Very Good! For face $ lip
Under the eye with Aqufor side looks so much better but not 20 years younger!!!!
@@nataliek3717 Thanks for your feedback back & for watching! Yeah nothing but surgery’s turning my 58 y/o face back ⏰ 20 years! 😅😂
Does anyone know a uk version of aquaphor stick? I cant find it a anywhere, all i can find is the cream and it has different ingredients
Darn I dont. Sorry
Warm it up on your hand before applying so it doesn’t drag your skin.
Oh, that’s a great tip! 😊 thanks for watching and wishing you a very happy Sunday❤
I don’t see a huge difference and definitely not a 20 year difference
Agreed not 20 years younger. Too bad LOL. Does help a touch but not too much. Maybe good for a special occassion.
Either way you’re natural beautiful and that’s all that matters. ☺️
O yes..looks great
@@JohnTaylor-c2p Slight but a bit better. Wishing you a fantastic day 💜
I can't see the difference. But I love your make up tutorial. You look fabulous.
@@fmallow2727 Hi thanks for watching.
Appreciate your nice comment.. True is I’d kinda hard to see the difference on camera.. especially since it wasn’t a huge difference. Thanks again for commenting and wishing you a fantastic day.💜
You are very pretty. That's lucky, 'cause I didn't see any difference between the sides ;)
@@susie5254 Thank you. 😊
i'm using it but not dramatic the thing is i never use powder on my 74 year old skin
I am not a huge fan of this powder (not fine enough for mature skin) I occasionally use powder if my under eye is shinny (very finely milled HG or Stila). But agreed mature skin and powder can be a no go! Thanks for watching and wishing you a fantastic week ahead. :)
Marilyn Monroe used Vaseline. I use both Vaseline n aquaphore as well. N Nivea
She sure did! Which do you prefer. Vaseline or Aauphor? Did you use the stick or ointment? Thanks for watching and for commenting :)
I will suggest you place your blush in the lower to mid areas vs up so high. I read Nicole Kidman wears Aquaphor to bed.
Thanks for the tip. I am a nightmare at blush application. I only started dabbling in wearing makeup in my early 50s and have a lot to learn.
I thought it actually did give a more youthful appearance. Not 20 years lol but maybe 5? Maybe it's meant for dry as the dust bowl like me types?
Oh my gosh, dry as the dust bowl that’s me too!! …plus living in a pseudo desert climate certainly doesn’t help😬. I went back to visit family - super humid💦. My skin looked so much better … NOW that made me look younger😂😂😂!
As far as using the Aquaphor lip balm, anything to keep that hydration in the skin is a bonus for me😊
I agree! I'm thrilled with the idea of just having a glow again! Hahaha if I look younger well woohoo! I just don't want to look like cracked paint 😂
Same!!😂😂
Both sides look great, but I honestly think the Aquaphor side looks dewy and fresher than the other side.
Yes, the Aquaphor side is a little bit more dewy I agree. But I certainly don’t think it makes me look any younger.Lol Thanks for watching and wishing you a wonderful wonderful day💜

Spectacular, epic fail for me. Oily skin might be the difference. But that Maybelline powder is fantastic!
The aquaphor is definitely "dewy" cant imagine oily skin types will enjoy (per your trial lol). Yes the powder is worth a go!
