Omg. Yum Cha means 'Drink tea'. The finger food is called dim sum, not yum cha.

It's a fair point you make Charmaine Sam. In Cantonese Chinese, yum cha does literally mean 'drink tea'. In some places across the World, yum cha has also been coined to refer to morning or afternoon tea, which includes the entire meal of drink and dim sum. Making yum cha may have meant cooking the whole meal, but we apologise for any inaccuracies or confusion...
The Philips Airfryer HD9240 remains a healthy and quick machine for cooking your dim sum :)

Omg no yum cha may not mean making a whole meal. It's completely wrong and I'm Chinese. Yum chai means drink tea or a slang for going to a cantonese dim sum restaurant. That's it nothing more nothing less.

It would be akin to referring to all little scones as, "high tea".
e.g: "I'm about to bake some high teas for my kids".
I greatly appreciate the creator's effort and open mindedness though. That is what's most important. The vocabulary thing is a mere footnote.

In Australia the asian community call it yum cha - blame them!

I'm Australian Chinese. We say let's go to yumcha, meaning let's go drink tea which is a saying to go have tea with the fam and eat dimsum

You can't cook normal size dim sims in the air fryer the outside come out rock hard and nothing you do will make them like the chip shop ones. Even defrosting them and coating them in oil doesn't work the outside still come out as hard and brittle as a corn chip.
