just checking out how to cook a whole chicken (1.2kg) with the air-fryer. after review the previous comment, I would prefer to try taking two steps. 180"C 30 mins. 220"C 10 mins.

1.5 KG Chicken as advised. Definitely not cooked all through. Stuffing was still cold in the middle after 35 minutes. The skin was beautiful and crispy but the legs and thighs where still bloody and raw.
Kitchen filled with smoke had to take it out side to finish cooking.
The chicken took another ten minutes cooking, after I dismembered the chicken into several pieces. Cooked through no probs then, just a little dry.
The amount of fat at the bottom was unbelievable, however I think I would cook chicken in oven next time. Less mess and vegies all cook at the same time. Stuffing would be cooked through as well in oven.

Sorry to read you encountered problems Myz Scottie. The cooking times will vary slightly depending on the size and cut of the meat. One positive though seems to be the amount of fat that was collected. It means you didn't have to eat it, which is why Philips claim the AirFryer is a healthier way to cook.

For Americans, she used 200 Celsius, which is 392 Fahrenheit, so I would probably use 375 F

I notice that you are using the Large Phillips Airfryer for the chicken, is it possible to use the smaller fryer with a smaller chicken?

Hello. I just bought mine, 9230 model. Is preheating necessary? Better than not? I would've searched for the XL 9240 model but I don't "really" need the extra size 😃

Is that a Pigeon or a chicken, as the tray is so small I can not get a chicken in mine.

I can only assume that the Chicken was up to room temperature, cooked a 1.5 kg chicken but still raw on the legs, yes there was lots of smoke, lovely crispy skin.. So room temp chook next time

    Chicken needed some seasoning.

seygra20 Good suggestion. You can add as much seasoning as you like before cooking, as well as even herbs and garlic, to give your chicken some real flavour.
