As some one who's old enough to be your Grandfather, and has been driving Performance cars when none of your issues were actually issues... mainly because you had to drive with no assistance from the car itself. I do agree with Red Line Cutoff since your not paying attention to the tach .....but Lane centering...Really !! Maybe you should have bought an Automatic.
OMG "it's fun to down shift now" and "lane centering" and he's worried about tuning? What's #7 it won't automatically cut an apex and power out for him? WTF, from one older performance driver to another, Gen Z should have to take an aptitude test before buying these cars. Probably less of them would wreck.
I really hate these click baity title and videos 5 reasons why to buy a Mustang, 5 Reasons why not to buy a Mustang. Make up your mind dude. Sorry for being rude but this is annoying. What will you buy a Camary instead? Come on
what's click bait about that? not every car is perfect. as much as you love your car there's gonna be a few things you don't like about it. maybe his 5 reasons could be reasons for someone else to not buy it, just as the 5 reasons why to buy it could be enough for someone to outweigh the bad
Agreed 100%. Obviously, none of those reasons prevented him from buying the car so why the title? PS, Camrys actually have high rev matching and an excess RPM limiter. lol
Ok. So here is how rev matching works: it blips the RPM ⬆️ a little (or a lot) depending on vehicle speed. How to use it: Driving in 5th and RPM is at say 3,500 and you want to shift to third to catch the yellow light or something, it will shift ⬆️ past 3,500 to whatever the RPM 3rd gear would be at with the current speed and go a touch past it for the first second for added timing. Whether that's how it's supposed to work may be a different story.
For apple car play, you can also hold down the right arrow button and lower volume button at the same time on the right side of your steering wheel. This resets the center console while you’re driving or parked and automatically fixes audio issues for both Apple CarPlay and normal car audio
I think The Red Line power cut is necessary, it protects the engine from someone who would blow their engine cause of how hard they’re pushing it all the time, I enjoy the wireless Apple CarPlay it comes with vs most cars needing some kind of software or a usb connection, I didn’t find the no tune availability cause I admit I’m not the type to upgrade my car for more power as the stock exhaust already sounds so good for me and the power I’m good with cause I’m not a racer or indulge that kind of activity but that’s just me, I like the way it comes (I got the 24 Mustang GT but not the premium trim level) an all black GT with some wheels I got for it and that’s enough for me to genuinely enjoy and love. The shifting to me is very smooth and I love the rumble everytime you drop a gear
Wow sorry to hear all of this with your new car, well I got an Ice White G.T. 2022 at a good price just a while ago and it has auto trans in it and I have no problems with it the shifting with the paddles takes some break in and so did the trans all in the way you drive it I found kind of has a mind of its own! but I did go back to ford and got software update done for 1 hour and I can do all sorts of shifting with it and all works good for now but can only drive the auto trans due to back and hip problems with me.
My 2024 Mustang GT premium optioned out 10 speed automatic have lane centering. But there's two separate settings. you have lane keep assist, then you have the adaptive cruise control, which holds Lane centering within it. On the dash used to see the car with two notches on the left and right of it
Agreed, I have a Ford Fusion and it is always giving me a hassle with Bluetooth. Fords are very picky about USB keys as well, some of the USB sticks work in my Jeep Renegade and do not work with the Ford Fusion. Sync sucks IMO.
ok so with the apple car play i found a fix my self making it to where you dont have to do the wifi and bluetooth thing. try going to settings on you phone and going to the face id/passcode and make sure accessories is turned on. ever since i turned it back on ive not had any issues with my audio.
cause when i was trying to turn on Spotify and couldnt hear anything i took out my phone and scanned my face and my audio turned on so i looked at my settings and found my accessories was off turned it on and it was fixed.
As a guy who traditionally bought manuals for all his sports cars...... I've seen several vids of the 2024 Mustang GT with the Whipple Supercharger installed using the automatics and without a doubt.... that's what I would go with. I had a Callaway supercharged 2007 Vette with a manual 6 speed and it was fun but I think I'd go auto on my next one.
As someone who drives at 90% of my cars ability regularly, I found this video incredibly informing. I plan to buy a gt premium with the 10speed auto next month. I was wondering if the anti collision system could be disabled? I ask because emergency braking systems have almost caused me to wreck a few times now and im worried i may have to unplug the forward cam and radar.
Probably a safety feature on the 24 mustang with the whole power cut off trying to red line and the not letting go past 4k rpm when auto rev matching the s550 doesn’t have those two thangs limited like the 24 mustang you can auto rev match past 5k and hit redline no issues at least I haven’t experienced that in my 2023 mustang GT manual
I was going to say the same thing but I told myself to go through the comments! I have a 22 CS/GT 6MT I love the auto rev match feature! Some time it scares me cuz when I'm just cruising and day dreaming, I'll be in 6th gear thinking that I'm in 4th shifting in "5th" but in reality I'm down shifting from 6th to 5th and the room blip scares me! Haha it's happened like 3 times already!
I have 3 issues on my GT S650 2024 1-noise come from manual transmission specially in first and 2-3 gear Sound like little friction 2-Songs cut when I connect it via Bluetooth 3-Noise in the interior parts of the car when driving on unsmooth roads
Also don’t worry about tuning give my friends at whipple a call they have the only tune you need paired with 3.0 liter supercharger!😅 856 hp plug and play. Shake N Bake
All those issues are the same energy as the Karen who complains that her latte was 2 degrees too cold. “Like, it’s supposed to be served at 180 degrees and this was totally 178 degrees.”
Those complaining about him making this video are childish. When you own something, you realize everything has good and bad points, whether you feel his gripes are legit or not is regardless. I get it, there are a lot who want and cannot afford a Mustang GT, and those who just love the car. That does not mean it is perfect for everyone and flawless period. It sounds to me he should have bought something else, but this is his opinions and he is entitled to them.
This is the 10th “I don’t like the car” review I have watched. Every point that you don’t like here is irrelevant to someone that just wants a Mustang GT. And isn’t interested in the drag strip or road course. I recently purchased a GT 5.0 base and I’m thinking it’s the best most enjoyable car I’ve ever driven! If you’re interested in this car do NOT listen to these reviews from “performance” and “racers”. This is an Amazing car! Period
Mach 1 fixes all those issues. It can auto rev match downshift to 7k+ no problem and it feels amazing to shift unlike the china mt82 that came from ford transit.
Can you turn off all or any of that because these are features I wouldn't use ir even want active. I do not want the car deciding rpms or steering thats my job and it'd only get in my way.
Bought a new 2024 mustang gt premium with active valve exhaust w a 6 speed manuel trans, put only 100 miles on this car and averaging 9.5 mpg. That really sucks... has anyone else experienced this poor gas mileage issue ? plus the 6 way manual seats are very uncomfortable. Paid $49, 450 for this car and really dont feel its worth the money............I owned a 1974 Detamaso Pantera and enjoyed it more. cost me 14.500 and worth every penny........
OMG I would be so pissed if everytime I went for red line or passed red line, the power cut out on me.. WOW I experienced that in my Nissan Juke a few times and it is scary.. It has you thinking there's something wrong with the car the first few times it happens..
I don't have Rev Matching on my 2017 but I have no Issue doing it myself. I would like to have it though. Oh, and My Mt82 is clunky and Dumpy too and I only have 11,700 Miles on my 2017.. I just accept thats the way the MT82 is... And it's not all the time but it isn't a smooth feeling trans.. I'm just glad I don't get Locked out or experience that power loss you get at a certain RPM..
Thats weird with rev match. My mach works great. I drop her down to 2 gear when doing 60 to 130 pulls. And it gets up 6 k rpm. Then it a quick shift to 3rd.
How do you not have lane centering? I have the exact same same mustang GT (Automatic) and it 100% has lane centering (copilot 360) Unless it’s because you have a manual, I’d ask your ford dealer about it
Try a Dark Horse with a 10-speed automatic. They're fantastic and have none of the problems you're having with the manual. Rowing gears is so 1990"s. Time to move to the future!
Being a proud owner of a 04 Mustang GT, a 2014 mustang GT and I was looking to get a 2024 Mustang GT but I just cannot get past those tablets sitting on the dashboard. I’m having the biggest issue with those tablets I just might sell for a 2022 or 2023 GT premium, those tablets just don’t look right make the call look like an SUV on the inside
That's weird that the shift point resets. That sounds like a software problem. My mach 1 never resets the shift point. I'd go to ford and have them check it.
You should have just went with a Mach 1 HP...Your wheels and tires suck, no wing, fake front airdams, exhaust sucks on the GT, no Magneride, hard pass.
'.....has anyone else experienced this poor gas mileage issue?' Yes. I have a 2024 Camaro LT1 with 10 speed automatic transmission and MPP dual mode exhaust. I get about 10 mpg with K&N air filter, synthetic oil, 51 psi tire pressure, no towing, empty trunk, 1 driver/occupant weighing 150 pounds, rpm never exceeding 3000 rpm, less than 10% air conditioner usage. The EPA is absurd in stating that city mpg is 16! Very tall axle ratio in 10th gear of 46 mph per 1000 rpm ie. 68-70mph on the highway equals 1500 engine rpm
I test drove a 2024 Mustang GT automatic, and it did have stop and go driver assist and I think it also had lane centering. So I think it’s because yours is a manual
I TEST DROVE THE 2024 MUSTANG DARK HORSE AND THE MUSTANG GT. BOTH OF THEM " TO ME " WERE VERY CHEAPLY PUT TOGETHER ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. EVERYTHING IS CHEAP CHEAP PLASTIC; AND YOU HARDLY GET ANY GOOD OPTIONS. A SUNROOF IS OUT OF THE QUESTION WITH THIS MODEL. THE SEATS WERE HARD FEELING AND SURELY NOT A GOOD LEATHER. THE WHEELS ARE NOW STARGERED ON ALL MODELS SO YOU ARE NOW BEING FORCED TO BUY NEW TIRES INSTEAD OF BEING ABLE TO ROTATE THE TIRES AT EVERY OIL CHANGE TO KEEP THEM EVENLY WEARING. THE MORE EXPENSIVE DARK HORSE HAS A MANUAL DRIVING SEAT WHILE THE CHEAPER GT HAS A POWER FRONT SEAT. WTH! AT LEAST THE TWO I DROVE. IF THE DARK HORSE DOES COME WITH A POWER DRIVER SEAT IT " SHOULD BE STANDARD " ON THAT CAR. IT IS NOT. TO ME, THIS NEW MUSTANG IS OVER PRICED AND NOT WORTH WHAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR IT. EVERYTHING FELT CHEAP AND EASY TO BREAK. JUST LIKE THE MACH-E'S, THEY WILL BE REDUCING THE PRICES TO GET RID OF THESEE MUSTANGS; AND IF I WERE YOU, I WOULD WAIT TO BUY ONE.
Mustangs aren't built for luxury, they provide great power and handling for the price point. Base model M4 has less hp (473) compared to the Mustang GT (480), and the base GT is $37,000 less than a base M4 ($42,000 vs $79,000)... so if you don't want "cheap" interior I would say go for a more expensive car. Sun roofs have never been an option on the Mustangs because it adds unnecessary weight, that's why the convertible exists. Not all the Mustangs come with a staggered fitment, mine has 245/45/19 all the way around. Only performance packs have staggered fitment. New car prices are dropping across the board, it has nothing to do with the platform.
Oh wow, my redline hits at 6800/7000 RPM in my gen 2 but I can rev out to 7700 to 7800 if I want to be stupid.. I am so happy I don't have that issue even though I usually shift at no more than 7200 with my Gen2.... But honestly I baby my car and short shift it mostly.. It's just a weekend car for me.. I still have 11K on my 17 GT..
Only thing about this car that is a downer, is its just not special. The Z and supra are not around as much everyone has a mustang, probably because they been around for 60 years and have a entry-level version, v6 or 4t. The price to value is top notch
Idk why people got the nerve to hate, Your content is great. Keep it up! I love watching your videos one day i may get a 24 and make it my first ever manual and your videos help me understand the car more without spending 5 hours at the dealership some guy who just wants my money and doesnt know anything.
The only thing you missed was the box kleenex that didn't come with the car!!! Btw,the car was rolling its eyes behind your back the whole way through the video!!
As a European, the interior of American cars looks like it's 20 years behind schedule. Compared to European cars, their interior looks very dated. The exterior looks fine AF, of course.
That is one fugly dashboard. Huge mistake by Ford losing the double barreled display and double brow dash. The screens look like an afterthought. But, hey! It's big and bright!
finally some good dislikes about the car that people really care to hear lol. everyone always complains about some stupid piece of interior or something so small that can easily be forgiven. But basically after 6 months of ownership, MOST of these problems could be fixed with a tune. At least the real annoying ones lol.
It's a V8 American Bald Eagle Muscle Car! Apple car play, lane centering and cruise control, and rev match? Who needs any of that! Every moment should be spent listening to the V8 orchestra and manually controlling the Rpms and steering for some serious therapy especially after work!
Closing this video here, when he turns off the engine saying it's loud. 0:09

And the $53k Tesla Model3 Performance will leave all Mustangs in the dust and over $10k less. Something to ponder
Why are you shouting? You’re very angry. Mate, don’t get so worked up. No ones forcing you to buy one.
Everybody's crazy as hel. But whatever you want.
Don’t use the shift indicator g
I love the car
I like the Robin Egg blue, the other blue looks cheap
Are you able to buy a performance pack wing from ford if so how?
Yes you can have a dealer order one. They aren’t cheap though as most ford performance parts.
Tuning takes time on every new car. If you want it done faster, get coding; don’t complain that everyone else isn’t doing anything.
Luxury in a Ford? LMFAO! That was a good one!
I love mustangs but beside the p's and q's the body shape looks to much like a camaro? Still a nice though.
beautiful car! stupid complaints
Only thing about this car that is a downer, is its just not special. The Z and supra are not around as much everyone has a mustang, probably because they been around for 60 years and have a entry-level version, v6 or 4t.
The price to value is top notch
🤔......seems like a Mach 1 with under 50,000 miles would be a better choice, with a Tremec, plus ➕️ you don't get Flat Sceen TV
Buy Forscan to turn off any silly safety features
Do you any issues with the engine misfire and car not starting?
I haven't had any engine issues with my car. Runs like new at 11,500 miles
Let him live the s650 sucks he should have purchased a S550.. made slower then a s550 and without tuning it’s crap
if you get the auto you should have it manual well its a manual you dont get those specs bc having a manual is so you can be connected to the car
FORD YOU HAD ONE JOB. DON'T SCREW UP THE MUSTANG!!!
These videos are always ridiculous as it's the point of them to begin with, they generate hits and make money.
Sell it and get Toyota Camry.
If you can’t multitask while driving manual. You should get an automatic grandma.
I think a mini is probably more within your reach. Wait until you’re older.
Idk why people got the nerve to hate, Your content is great. Keep it up! I love watching your videos one day i may get a 24 and make it my first ever manual and your videos help me understand the car more without spending 5 hours at the dealership some guy who just wants my money and doesnt know anything.
Family member?
Let's see, five reasons. Styling, price, styling, price, styling, ...
are the mustang gt 2018 and 2020 any good? im thinking about buying one but idk which version to look for.
I loved the 2020 GT I had. Never had any issues with it
The only thing you missed was the box kleenex that didn't come with the car!!! Btw,the car was rolling its eyes behind your back the whole way through the video!!
Bro just get a barton shifter and problem solved.
So I'll get the 10 speed after watching this
LOL
As a European, the interior of American cars looks like it's 20 years behind schedule. Compared to European cars, their interior looks very dated. The exterior looks fine AF, of course.
Perhaps a better title would be “ 6 things I don’t like about my Mustang GT.
Oh no, no tuning. Imagine not tuning the car and having it last longer.
The car doesn't like u either
It's a V8 American Bald Eagle Muscle Car!
Apple car play, lane centering and cruise control, and rev match? Who needs any of that! Every moment should be spent listening to the V8 orchestra and manually controlling the Rpms and steering for some serious therapy especially after work!
