It is not impossible to have a good life. What a great group of friends that you all were able to plan and execute these builds and tap into your strengths. Bravo for your inspiration.

We have been "house-living" during the pandemic for this very reason. We rely so much on coffee shops, our climbing gym, and restaurants and once the pandemic hit we knew we couldn't live full time in the bus/van. In the meantime, we have been renting out both vehicles to people who want to park outside of their folks' houses and social distance, and to people who want to get to out of the city without relying on hotels and restaurants.

I've been seeing more of those tiny home communities get some traction but I think this could also be a great foot in the right direction to helping students and homeless as well as veterans from all walks of life. Housing has been for a long time been out of the reach of many, at least it has been for me, and this could help!

Man something like that van where you couldn't see the van in person or inspect it. I'm betting that was a pretty good deal.

We attached 1/8th inch ply to the ceiling, and then used an adhesive spray lots and lots of staples. It took a long time and about 5 people (at least for the bus). We had to have people and props holding up the canvas otherwise it would put too much weight on the staples and just pull them out. The staples and ceiling paintings have held up great though :)

Experiment building isn’t all you need to know, vehicles is something you need to research. The 2008 to 2010 Ford is a 6.4 diesel which are the biggest junk Ford has created in 30 years. Don’t believe me, google it. They are junk motors. It will go down again, do not go with 6.4 at least 6.0 can take upgrades. And early 6.7 had injector problems (1000’s of dollars )
