Running Diary 18th June. Zone 2 run and 10k PB.

  • I don't massively enjoy my Z2 runs, I much prefer a longer slightly slower pace, but I know they are good for improving my VO2max.
    I'd been having a good few days, had my longest run ever on the Saturday, as well as working on strength and mobility, even my diet was where I wanted it to be.
    Pace felt good and I was able to match aerobic capacity and muscular endurance, often I feel I've got one and not the other, that let me keep my heart rate up at a sustained level.
    When I got home, Strava said it was a PB on the 10k which was a nice surprise!
