I highly recommend the G&L Tribute S-500. Costs 600. Its a Stratocaster style guitar. The pickups sound fantastic and build quality is really good. For anyone who doesnt know G&L was Leo Fender's last company where he made a bunch of amazing inventions to expand on his vision for the electric guitar. Fender quality and designed by the same person but with a much more affordable price than a fender.

For guitars, schecter and orangewood(acoustic) makes some of the best budget guitars with amazing features/quality,
@@SanjayC I started off as a pianist. Absolutely love it, but makes it difficult to choose your main instrument haha(I also play drums). There are floor units of Helix and Kemper, but many prefer to use individual effects pedals, like the tube screamers and wah, etc
@@SanjayC yes actually, Some modulation effect pedals like reverb, delay, wah, chorus, flanger, etc work amazingly well with synths. You should definitely try them out
For people living in Europe, Harley Benton (from Thomann) has great guitars for under 500 Euros. However, on this price range, it's recommended to avoid bridges with tremolo due to tuning issues. Nonetheless, they are pretty decent for the price range.
@@teadat Totally, I have a Squier Jazzmaster Classic Vibe and I love it. But I also have a Harley Benton "T-Style" that I paid 80 Euros new and it held up great until I had the money for the Squier.

For a “high-end” guitar plugin, I’ve totally settled on the stuff by Neural Dsp. They do a lot of metal style plugins but recently released the Cory Wong signature plugin for clean stuff. The built in effects are also amazing.
I subbed because you play your guitar STANDING UP unlike all the other TH-cam guitarist. I play standing up as well. Sitting makes me feel like I’m not getting anywhere musically.
The gt100 is a digital multi effects processor so it's not really a comparison since they're basically the same thing. I've tried all kinds of effects processors and modeling amps but it's still not possible to get the sound and dynamic range of analogue drive.
Avallac Glitch I 100% agree, it’s not worth the price. Besides I love digital modulation effects and I think they’re usually a lot better than the overpriced analogue modulation effects. In my opinion you only need around two pedals analogue pedals to achieve a killer tone (in addition to digital effects).

Hey Brother!! Nice video. I recently picked up the Motu M2 interface, and boy was it a big difference than my Scarlett 2i2! I've also picked up the Nektar Aura drum machine, but of course there is nothing like Native Instrument! I was stopping by to say hi, and see how you were doing. Sanjay C definitely! And if you like to sample... let’s just say you can sample right off of TH-cam directly. And it comes with this daw Performer Lite. Just look at the videos, but bring some tissue because it is a jaw dropper!!

im an electric guitarist and for electric guitars you dont need and audio interface if your multi effects processor have a built in interface caz i have an effects processor called zoom g3x which has an interface built in and that's a really cool feature helps a lot man

Also a Fellow Guitar Player and I suppose I probably sound a bit Old school saying this but I learned on a Fender style, and now have a Les Paul, One can Get a Decent Les Paul w Humbeckers, less neck tension, and well because of what i grew up playing i FLY on the Les Paul (less string tension, less total distance,.) Fenders are GREAT, just for a starter, I would actual suggest a Les Paul for sure, also because it allows for one to truly Model their sound before it even leaves the guitar. ( saved alot on pedals) Another Great Idea, Run it through a mixer into your AISO,. I recently grabbed the PROFX12 by mackie, they have 21 Professional level, fx ( everything from Multiple reverbs including Plate, spring, and slapback( great for reggae , to flanger, and chorus effects as well as delays ) I have saved a boatload on peddles for my synths.. I originally bought it to route all of my Synths through, but what else is cool is they have a button on the mixer (specifically for guitars) that requires no preamp, and basically reads the signal as a direct inject would, I am soooooo Surprised you didnt mention, AND I HAVE TO AS IT IS THE BEST BY FAR AMP ROOM PERIOD ( in my oppinion), and I have possitive Grids ---everything (but the spark amp i want that lol), SOFT TUBES BRAND NEW AMP ROOM,. and they FINALLY got the NAME MARSHALL on board... previously SOFTUBE had AMPROOMS that had different set ups where you can adjust where the mic is etc. and it was ''known'' the Half stack was suppose to be a marshall rig, but apparently all of the details werent worked out quite yet. IN THIS ONE - You have Dozens of Cabs to Choose from including SUPER CLASSICS AND VINTAGE, its built just like their euro rack module, so you pretty much build your Perfect rig, complete with Pedals, FX, Compressors, Presence Enhancers, Not to mention if you own Tape, or any of their Tube tech, or if you had Bass amp room, or vintage amp room it moves some of those peices into their. This is without question the funnest and FURTHEST I have been able to sonically effect a guitar, either that im playing, or mixing. I mean....built in tuner,... and it Just recently came out. Dont like SOFTTUBE SANJAY? just playin. As a beginners I so go all out, Ive had a few different guitars, and technically considered a begginner so i will openly state I have learned more on my Martin DX 1 ( i cant find many like it most others are acoustic/electric,. This is just your classic Dreadnaught, But i Have played them all Taylors are nice, Ovations are nice. Honestly I still would say go with a Martin. A good guitar is going to be expensive anyways. I looked at it like well do i want to buy one for when i get good too? ( sadly i think many people put their instruments down because they didnt get something that truly inspired them to begin with. The first set of turntables held me back like two years until I got my hands on a set of technic 1200s... sometimes it is the gear... and with acoustic I have noticed that strumming that thing(martin), even tunning it is a pleasure,. ( certain frustrations are kind of supposed to be there like with your first car so I hesitated when giving this advice because i also have very AWESOMELY made but ''cheap'' in the sense of name classical acoustics, and side instruments. What excites me about softubes platform is their processing algos, I have noticed that between Softube and Brainworks/Izotope, they have very accurate analogue, and overall sound production tools. As with Modular I tend to think that they will keep adding odds and ends in there to keep it current and 'dominant' Their Modular system. Brought euro rack Mods and sounds that most producers COULD NEVER afford to manipulate, and actually patch it, not just be a sound 'pack'. As stated their AMP ROOM platform is built the same way where you have a ton of tools you can arrange it however you want each Marshall Cab comes with a Combination of mics you can use, and combinations of using multiple mics aswell as place and direction, (apparetnly that is like a holy grail secret,- mic placement) esp for bass, anyway hope this may give some one some use,.

The softube amp room plugin sounds good, but the plugin is clunky (you need to move the interface around to see the modules) and its very slow to load (i9 - 64 gb ram, ssd etc modern machine) - I decided to wait for a bit to try it again after they iron out some of the bugs.

No, but I have tried it out! It rocks but not as much as my Mustang gtx100. But the price is more! Another good thing about the mustang gtx is that you can record the amp into ur daw via XLR and many other ways like usb! And footswitch is incredible!

I already have a lot of stompbox pedal since I was in junior high school, and I already used a lot of guitars before. Maybe i can add Squier Stratocaster as a good affordable electric guitar , maybe not only for beginner but maybe also for a pianist or keyboardist who want to buy an electric guitar really really in a cheapway, and talking about the effects pedal , in my opinion i would prefer stompbox pedal rather than an effects plugin, some of the tones are better in stompbox. and for your information if you want to buy a effect pedal stompbox maybe you only need 3 essentials pedal , it is overdrive , booster , delay/ reverb. Maybe as he said on the videos to share the pedal chain , i will share my pedal chain :)) Jim Dunlop Crybaby (Wah pedal) -> Boss CS 3 (compression sustainer) -> Ibanez Mini Tube Screamer (overdrive)-> Big Muff Phi (Fuzz) -> TC Electronic Spark Mini (Booster) -> MXR Echoplex (EchoDelay) -> MXR Phase 90 (phaser, modulation) -> Zoom multistomp (various, reverb, chorus,etc). maybe my pedalchain can help you :)

Really good video. I thought of you as strictly an electronic musician so it was awesome and surprising to see you rock out a little! I have both the Spark amp and the Axe I/O and they are great. I'm still trying to determine whether Ableton would be good for recording guitar and specifically rock music. I'm skeptical. Hello Sanjay, I love ENGL Retro 765 RT, my go to amp plugin. Great Clean and High Gain tones. I also use Brigade Chorus, Cooper Time Cube delay, DreamVerb. UAD plugins are dynamic, warm and so realistic. It's not cheap, that's right, but there are often special offers ! Have a nice day.
Sanjay, awesome video as always! I tend to take a different view as musician who started with Bass guitar as my primary instrument and then branched out. For what I use I have the following: Line 6 Helix Rack & Line 6 POD X3 Pro for guitar and bass, Guitars (Variax Guitars & a Gibson), Basses (Variax Bass (old), Fretless, & 2 active basses). I've found that I very much prefer the Helix and POD X3 Pro because they are very configurable and can also function as very high quality 192KHz quality sound cards (a bit over kill when you're playing Doom Eternal but the eargasm sound quality is otherworldly). And as someone else mentioned in the comments, like NI's Guitar Rig 5, you can run microphones through the Line 6 racks and have all those delicious effects to use on them and STILL use Guitar Rig 5 stuff on that signal too! Option overload in the effects, but hey, options are the spice of life! Anyway, thanks for this, and I think you would be remiss if you didn't do something for us Bass Players out here too!
Spark looks really cool! Smart Jam & Auto Chords ? Nice. I've used iRig into an amp but it can be clunky, phone needing to be attached with a short cable - that then goes to a 1/4" which can weigh it down..but the bluetooth here is a great idea 👌
Amazing video! 😄 When I started in the music world was playing guitar, with this video everything would have been easier. In my opinion Guitar Rig and Bias Fx have the best emulations, very close to the original hardware, especially with amps. When I don't have my analog pedals close, guitar rig is my first option in computer, and JamUp for iPad/iPhone. Thanks for the video Sanjay! 😄
I absolutely LOVE my GS Mini, my favorite interface is the Motu M2 and I've been using a Vox ToneLab ST for my effects, I've had great experiences with all of them :)
Mixcraft DAW is surprisingly pleasant. I'm using it while I am sorting out Presonus Studio One v5 that I downloaded but haven't worked out the Windows' issues yet. I read an article online that pointed out all the nightmares that Microsoft has created for Windows music ppl.
@@SanjayC I had a Mac (not for music) and when I accidentally spilled liquid on it and killed it, I was not sad. I'm just a Windows guy. But I've become disillusioned with Microsoft's disregard for third party software. It feels like every time they update THEIR software the rest of us suffer. I hear there is a decent DAW that runs on Linux. Hmm....Thanks so much for all you do for us.
If you're comfortable with using samples in your DAW, then you may not get a lot out of a drum machine. That said, I have a Roland TRS8 and its an absolute beast! Drums sound so amazing and adding the swing...just takes things to a whole new level!
For now i use Fl studio, Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen, and the Bias FX Demo on Windows 10. Feel already comfortable with these, but still - a long way to go I have.
@@SanjayCFor guitars FL is very good, but unlike Ableton, very unintuitive, and it took me a lot of time and nerves :) to figure out basic operations like adding plugins and connect them to the mixer. Right now I`m trying to understand how to reduce noise with Edison, and well - it`s unnecessarily complicated. On Ableton theese tasks are a lot easier. But the actual mixing process in FL Studio is way faster in my opinion, when you get used to it, than Ableton. Guitar plugins for FL Studio - not so many, for free at least, and the stock ones are... ok. Bias FX or Guitar Rig works fine. Once you understand how the DAW works is very good, but got to arm yourself with patience. :)
Hi, Sanjay! You should try Bias Amp2. Is not so expensive and the tonal possibilities are huge and also it has some bass amps and cabs options that sound great (don't forget about bass)! Tip: you can use some of the presets on synths to get big fat sounds.
@@SanjayC, if you manage to get one (since they are discontinued right now) you should try out Source Audio's Multiwave distortion. Also it would be pretty interesting to try an Electro-Harmonix Ravish Sitar on a not so processed signal. It's a quirky sitar emulation unit, but since you can control the level and the timbre of the drone it generates you can get som grainy and unique sounds!

Hi Sanjay, Great Video. Got some useful tips. Thanks. I generally use a signal chain like this: Guitars (electric or acoustic) plugged into an Apogee Element 46 or 88 Audio Interface then into Logic Pro X and Helix Native guitar effects software. I have Helix hardware too like the Rack and Floor but prefer to use Helix Native while recording since its easier to experiment with different patches and sounds. I'll check out the Spark Amp, it seems to be useful.
@@SanjayC The Helix is a great unit in my view from a guitarist's perspective. Not having used tube amps and other amps that it simulates, I'm quite satisfied with the Helix sound and can get a very good sound out of it. But it needs a lot of tweaking if you are making a patch from scratch. It is however very user friendly and workflow is quite fast. If you don't want to tweak, you can buy professionally made patches, which save a lot of time. Then you just need to modify them slightly to tailor them to your liking and your guitar pickups. Not being a professional musician (I'm a lawyer in my day/night job:))), those purchased patches have definitely saved me a lot of time and effort. The other advantage is that the software (Helix Native) and the Hardware units like the Helix Floor, Rack and LT can all have the same patches (transferred using USB) so what you record using one unit or the software can easily be reproduced in the other hardware units/ software live. That's a big advantage for me even though i don't play live since I get the same patches across all my Helix units and Helix software. The HX Stomp is different because of the limitations of the number of 6 blocks, so more complex patches of Helix Native, Floor and Rack would not work there unless there are only 6 blocks. I'm not sure how the Helix would work for synths, haven't explored that as of now. Its an interesting idea. You can first try Helix Native for the free 14 day trial and see if it suits your purposes. @@SanjayC It has the same pre-amps has the regular audients, and since it has lowered the price its a very good option IMHO for guitars, also it works has a stand alone practice headphone amp, which is good, although the Spark looks like a much better deal. Two Tones and Positive Grid both are very good models.
@@SanjayC Waiting for the Sparck to sell here, but its very good value IMHO, since an audient interface is around 120 euros, and the Audient Sono is around 250 euros, that would mean paying 130 euros for a two note torpedo cab lite.... with a 12ax7 valve pre-amp...tempting... you can also use the valve pre in mics... I have an evo 4 by the way, learned of the sono after I bought it, still happy with it.

Sm7 is surely one of the most popular mics for recording amps - but they're usually combined with a large diaphragm condenser (like an U87) and/or a ribbon mic (like a Royer 121) - on its own, it might get a bit harsh and will need a lot of EQ to take out the high mids.

I wanted to ask you a thing about headphones actually. Which one would you prefer: Sony MDR7506 or Audiotechnica ath M50x? And how about the bass in these headphones like which have more bass or sub bass to listen in. Avallac Glitch I 100% agree, it’s not worth the price. Besides I love digital modulation effects and I think they’re usually a lot better than the overpriced analogue modulation effects. In my opinion you only need around two pedals analogue pedals to achieve a killer tone (in addition to digital effects).

im an electric guitarist and for electric guitars you dont need and audio interface if your multi effects processor have a built in interface caz i have an effects processor called zoom g3x which has an interface built in and that's a really cool feature helps a lot man

Also a Fellow Guitar Player and I suppose I probably sound a bit Old school saying this but I learned on a Fender style, and now have a Les Paul, One can Get a Decent Les Paul w Humbeckers, less neck tension, and well because of what i grew up playing i FLY on the Les Paul (less string tension, less total distance,.) Fenders are GREAT, just for a starter, I would actual suggest a Les Paul for sure, also because it allows for one to truly Model their sound before it even leaves the guitar. ( saved alot on pedals)
Another Great Idea, Run it through a mixer into your AISO,. I recently grabbed the PROFX12 by mackie, they have 21 Professional level, fx ( everything from Multiple reverbs including Plate, spring, and slapback( great for reggae , to flanger, and chorus effects as well as delays ) I have saved a boatload on peddles for my synths.. I originally bought it to route all of my Synths through, but what else is cool is they have a button on the mixer (specifically for guitars) that requires no preamp, and basically reads the signal as a direct inject would,
I am soooooo Surprised you didnt mention, AND I HAVE TO AS IT IS THE BEST BY FAR AMP ROOM PERIOD ( in my oppinion), and I have possitive Grids ---everything (but the spark amp i want that lol), SOFT TUBES BRAND NEW AMP ROOM,. and they FINALLY got the NAME MARSHALL on board... previously SOFTUBE had AMPROOMS that had different set ups where you can adjust where the mic is etc. and it was ''known'' the Half stack was suppose to be a marshall rig, but apparently all of the details werent worked out quite yet.
IN THIS ONE - You have Dozens of Cabs to Choose from including SUPER CLASSICS AND VINTAGE, its built just like their euro rack module, so you pretty much build your Perfect rig, complete with Pedals, FX, Compressors, Presence Enhancers, Not to mention if you own Tape, or any of their Tube tech, or if you had Bass amp room, or vintage amp room it moves some of those peices into their. This is without question the funnest and FURTHEST I have been able to sonically effect a guitar, either that im playing, or mixing. I mean....built in tuner,... and it Just recently came out. Dont like SOFTTUBE SANJAY? just playin.
As a beginners I so go all out, Ive had a few different guitars, and technically considered a begginner so i will openly state I have learned more on my Martin DX 1 ( i cant find many like it most others are acoustic/electric,. This is just your classic Dreadnaught, But i Have played them all Taylors are nice, Ovations are nice. Honestly I still would say go with a Martin. A good guitar is going to be expensive anyways. I looked at it like well do i want to buy one for when i get good too? ( sadly i think many people put their instruments down because they didnt get something that truly inspired them to begin with. The first set of turntables held me back like two years until I got my hands on a set of technic 1200s... sometimes it is the gear... and with acoustic I have noticed that strumming that thing(martin), even tunning it is a pleasure,. ( certain frustrations are kind of supposed to be there like with your first car so I hesitated when giving this advice because i also have very AWESOMELY made but ''cheap'' in the sense of name classical acoustics, and side instruments. What excites me about softubes platform is their processing algos, I have noticed that between Softube and Brainworks/Izotope, they have very accurate analogue, and overall sound production tools. As with Modular I tend to think that they will keep adding odds and ends in there to keep it current and 'dominant' Their Modular system. Brought euro rack Mods and sounds that most producers COULD NEVER afford to manipulate, and actually patch it, not just be a sound 'pack'. As stated their AMP ROOM platform is built the same way where you have a ton of tools you can arrange it however you want each Marshall Cab comes with a Combination of mics you can use, and combinations of using multiple mics aswell as place and direction, (apparetnly that is like a holy grail secret,- mic placement) esp for bass,
anyway hope this may give some one some use,.

The softube amp room plugin sounds good, but the plugin is clunky (you need to move the interface around to see the modules) and its very slow to load (i9 - 64 gb ram, ssd etc modern machine) - I decided to wait for a bit to try it again after they iron out some of the bugs.

No, but I have tried it out! It rocks but not as much as my Mustang gtx100. But the price is more! Another good thing about the mustang gtx is that you can record the amp into ur daw via XLR and many other ways like usb! And footswitch is incredible!

I already have a lot of stompbox pedal since I was in junior high school, and I already used a lot of guitars before. Maybe i can add Squier Stratocaster as a good affordable electric guitar , maybe not only for beginner but maybe also for a pianist or keyboardist who want to buy an electric guitar really really in a cheapway, and talking about the effects pedal , in my opinion i would prefer stompbox pedal rather than an effects plugin, some of the tones are better in stompbox. and for your information if you want to buy a effect pedal stompbox maybe you only need 3 essentials pedal , it is overdrive , booster , delay/ reverb. Maybe as he said on the videos to share the pedal chain , i will share my pedal chain :))

Really good video. I thought of you as strictly an electronic musician so it was awesome and surprising to see you rock out a little! I have both the Spark amp and the Axe I/O and they are great. I'm still trying to determine whether Ableton would be good for recording guitar and specifically rock music. I'm skeptical. Hello Sanjay, I love ENGL Retro 765 RT, my go to amp plugin. Great Clean and High Gain tones. I also use Brigade Chorus, Cooper Time Cube delay, DreamVerb. UAD plugins are dynamic, warm and so realistic. It's not cheap, that's right, but there are often special offers ! Have a nice day.

Sanjay, awesome video as always! I tend to take a different view as musician who started with Bass guitar as my primary instrument and then branched out. For what I use I have the following: Line 6 Helix Rack & Line 6 POD X3 Pro for guitar and bass, Guitars (Variax Guitars & a Gibson), Basses (Variax Bass (old), Fretless, & 2 active basses). I've found that I very much prefer the Helix and POD X3 Pro because they are very configurable and can also function as very high quality 192KHz quality sound cards (a bit over kill when you're playing Doom Eternal but the eargasm sound quality is otherworldly). And as someone else mentioned in the comments, like NI's Guitar Rig 5, you can run microphones through the Line 6 racks and have all those delicious effects to use on them and STILL use Guitar Rig 5 stuff on that signal too! Option overload in the effects, but hey, options are the spice of life! Anyway, thanks for this, and I think you would be remiss if you didn't do something for us Bass Players out here too!

Spark looks really cool! Smart Jam & Auto Chords ? Nice. I've used iRig into an amp but it can be clunky, phone needing to be attached with a short cable - that then goes to a 1/4" which can weigh it down..but the bluetooth here is a great idea 👌

In my opinion Guitar Rig and Bias Fx have the best emulations, very close to the original hardware, especially with amps. When I don't have my analog pedals close, guitar rig is my first option in computer, and JamUp for iPad/iPhone.

Mixcraft DAW is surprisingly pleasant. I'm using it while I am sorting out Presonus Studio One v5 that I downloaded but haven't worked out the Windows' issues yet. I read an article online that pointed out all the nightmares that Microsoft has created for Windows music ppl.

@@SanjayC I had a Mac (not for music) and when I accidentally spilled liquid on it and killed it, I was not sad. I'm just a Windows guy. But I've become disillusioned with Microsoft's disregard for third party software. It feels like every time they update THEIR software the rest of us suffer. If you're comfortable with using samples in your DAW, then you may not get a lot out of a drum machine. That said, I have a Roland TRS8 and its an absolute beast! Drums sound so amazing and adding the swing...just takes things to a whole new level!
For now i use Fl studio, Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen, and the Bias FX Demo on Windows 10. Feel already comfortable with these, but still - a long way to go I have.
How is FL for guitar recording? Any good plugins?
@@SanjayCFor guitars FL is very good, but unlike Ableton, very unintuitive, and it took me a lot of time and nerves :) to figure out basic operations like adding plugins and connect them to the mixer. Right now I`m trying to understand how to reduce noise with Edison, and well - it`s unnecessarily complicated. On Ableton theese tasks are a lot easier. But the actual mixing process in FL Studio is way faster in my opinion, when you get used to it, than Ableton. Guitar plugins for FL Studio - not so many, for free at least, and the stock ones are... ok. Bias FX or Guitar Rig works fine. Once you understand how the DAW works is very good, but got to arm yourself with patience. :)

Hi, Sanjay! You should try Bias Amp2. Is not so expensive and the tonal possibilities are huge and also it has some bass amps and cabs options that sound great (don't forget about bass)! Tip: you can use some of the presets on synths to get big fat sounds.

@@SanjayC, if you manage to get one (since they are discontinued right now) you should try out Source Audio's Multiwave distortion. Also it would be pretty interesting to try an Electro-Harmonix Ravish Sitar on a not so processed signal. It's a quirky sitar emulation unit, but since you can control the level and the timbre of the drone it generates you can get som grainy and unique sounds!
NO - the Schecter Super Shredding. A great guitar - got mine from Sweetwater.

Hi Sanjay, Great Video. Got some useful tips. Thanks. I generally use a signal chain like this: Guitars (electric or acoustic) plugged into an Apogee Element 46 or 88 Audio Interface then into Logic Pro X and Helix Native guitar effects software. I have Helix hardware too like the Rack and Floor but prefer to use Helix Native while recording since its easier to experiment with different patches and sounds. I'll check out the Spark Amp, it seems to be useful.
How do you like your Helix effects unit? I really want something for my synths
@@SanjayC The Helix is a great unit in my view from a guitarist's perspective. Not having used tube amps and other amps that it simulates, I'm quite satisfied with the Helix sound and can get a very good sound out of it. But it needs a lot of tweaking if you are making a patch from scratch. It is however very user friendly and workflow is quite fast. If you don't want to tweak, you can buy professionally made patches, which save a lot of time. Then you just need to modify them slightly to tailor them to your liking and your guitar pickups. Not being a professional musician (I'm a lawyer in my day/night job:))), those purchased patches have definitely saved me a lot of time and effort. The other advantage is that the software (Helix Native) and the Hardware units like the Helix Floor, Rack and LT can all have the same patches (transferred using USB) so what you record using one unit or the software can easily be reproduced in the other hardware units/ software live. That's a big advantage for me even though i don't play live since I get the same patches across all my Helix units and Helix software. The HX Stomp is different because of the limitations of the number of 6 blocks, so more complex patches of Helix Native, Floor and Rack would not work there unless there are only 6 blocks. I'm not sure how the Helix would work for synths, haven't explored that as of now. Its an interesting idea. You can first try Helix Native for the free 14 day trial and see if it suits your purposes. You should check audient sonos a audient audio interface with two notes cab modeler... and a tube pre..

@@SanjayC It has the same pre-amps has the regular audients, and since it has lowered the price its a very good option IMHO for guitars, also it works has a stand alone practice headphone amp, which is good, although the Spark looks like a much better deal. Two Tones and Positive Grid both are very good models.
@@SanjayC Waiting for the Sparck to sell here, but its very good value IMHO, since an audient interface is around 120 euros, and the Audient Sono is around 250 euros, that would mean paying 130 euros for a two note torpedo cab lite.... with a 12ax7 valve pre-amp...tempting... you can also use the valve pre in mics... I have an evo 4 by the way, learned of the sono after I bought it, still happy with it.

This is awesome information...glad I found this video and I subbed... so detailed and all.l8nks provided for the other vids...thank you.... quick question about the spark amp (I ordered one last night).. can i just use this as the audio interface without buying those extra audio interfaces....and if so, can I still use all the effects in another recording software? ... and what is one of the better but affordable recording softwares....I see the repeater is only $60..... ?
And also do I need a computer graphics card? Because i have a stock cyber power pc...that's amd 6 core, with 8gb ram... would this be sufficient enough (I don't have a sound card niether, is this ok? I know some things use the sound card Aux but some usb too....I know intel processors are better thats why I'm asking....thanks for any help
It's been over 15 years and I have all analog tascam 4 tracks, etc... but I sold all my guitars and amps and buying a guitar sunday... I been craving to play again....

I checked out some of your other vids... and I learned alot.... so from what I see also my spark amp does come with a DAWs recording studio (which I'm not sure how good it is)...but what I really wanna do is also be able to sing as well.... so I'm assuming I should get the scarlett audio interface, I really like the price for what it does and comes with software too...I would go for the 2 mic/instrument one because it's only $159 as well...but my question next is how could.i plug the spark amp into the scarlett? (Because I wanna do live mic and guitar at sametime bit I wanna run all my effects from spark amp? Is this possible?...
I'm also going to be buying those nice 4.5 speakers u mentioned and my desktop pc as I stated above should be more then efficient...I'm also buying that usb hub when its available ....
IMO, if you plan on recording metal & hard rock - get yourself a Les Paul with EMG's or duncans.

you forgot the sm57. the BEST mic for amps
Sm7 is surely one of the most popular mics for recording amps - but they're usually combined with a large diaphragm condenser (like an U87) and/or a ribbon mic (like a Royer 121) - on its own, it might get a bit harsh and will need a lot of EQ to take out the high mids.
Late to the party, yesterday my second spirit commented on your previous video (venati) . Nice guitar plugins and I am surprised they were free. And as usual top quality videos. I wanted to ask you a thing about headphones actually. Which one would you prefer: Sony MDR7506 or Audiotechnica ath M50x? And how about the bass in these headphones like which have more bass or sub bass to listen in. And also are the M50x closed back or open back cuz on amazon (idk if it's in India only) its showing open back headphones which I don't prefer. Thanks so much for replying again
