Thanks a lot Sanjay, I was looking out for a video like this for many days, and here I got a best one from you, pretty simple & clear info for a basic Home Studio setup. Thanks again, God bless your efforts.
Sanjay ! Thank you so much for helping me get set up . It’s appreciated . I’m sick of paying epidemic sound $244 a year . I just bought the arturia minilab on special for $179. This leaves me $64 to put towards a Scarlett solo ; well it’s a start anyway . 🙏🏼👏🏼
That's awesome!! If you want to use Ableton to create songs, I have a useful tutorial here (15 minutes to get you up and running). And you already have Ableton Lite free with your Minilab! th-cam.com/video/LLcKyoUPrZs/w-d-xo.html
I've learned a lot from your videos. You are now like a mentor. I'm setting up my home studio, only missing a midi controller which I already ordered. Can't wait!
Arnav, when i install the plugins they usually go to the VST and Components (Mac) folders. If I install them on an external drive, I have to tell Ableton where to look sometimes.
WOW! I´m from Argentina, and after two days waching a lot of videos you explained everything (I had doubt about the conections) . THANK U !! ps: Nobody explain the connections; are so important!.
Thanks Sanjay for a very decent video regarding the basics, most of which I already knew, but I'm sure helped tons of others who didn't. But I was looking for instructions on a subject that you briefly mentioned, but didn't actually touch on or explain how to do. So before I search your other videos for the proper procedure, I hope you can help me out with my current setup. I recently purchased a terrific audio interface that has been working wonderfully to play back the patches on both my keyboard and my synth in Cubase. However, today I finally received a MIDI Host unit that I was hoping to use to play the sounds on my synth as a slave to my larger keyboard as a master. I connected everything this way: USB out from Master keyboard to USB in of MIDI Host unit; MIDI Out from Host unit to MIDI In of Interface: MIDI Out of Interface to MIDI In of Synth (Slave). However, I must have done something wrong, or missed something, because the Master keyboard is not triggering the Slave synth. So, if you have any tips, suggestions, or advice on what I am doing wrong or need to do differently with the gear that I already have, it would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, after I stop to have dinner I will check out some of your other tutorials (now that I have subscribed) to see if you have already touched on my topic. Thanks.
Dude! I love your vids. People forget sometimes. You show them how absolutely simple everything really is. This is something that every artistic individual should explore.
As always another fantastic, informative video Sanjay! Thank you for taking the time to break it all down. Most of this I've figured out but I always enjoy your honest unbiased comments. One thing I would love to see since you have a true knack for teaching/instructing is a mini series of making a song from start to finish. Using the basics, for example, create a cover of a popular song, where to start, step by step laying down the tracks, adjusting the sounds, adding vocals, mixing the vocals, backing vocals to sound similar to the original song, etc. I haven't see anyone do something like this and it would be helpful for me along with probably many other people. Maybe like a 101 Boot Camp. Preferably in Logic Pro : )
Thank you Rentonbroadway! I've got some great ideas for song breakdowns. Hope to get to it soon. But I still need to learn Logic better. So I may do them in Ableton. But I'll try to make them work for any DAW

Thank you BetterWithSam!
Hi Sanjay, great video!! I have an MPK25... should I connect to my focusrite 2i2 instead of my MAC? And what are the preferred cable connections??
Hi, What about connecting 4 speakers
Thanks in advance
Awesome video thanks for sharing . I have been using the exact Focus rite Scarlett 2i2 interface nothing but problems you cannot touch the Box without cracking and popping through the system. contacted focusrite all they want to do is email back and forth telling me to try this try that for months now. we've tried everything still messing up I would say go with anybody but focusrite As far as I'm concerned their customer service is a joke. but I do enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work. Be safe and stay well everyone. GOD BLESS
Dude. This video is the 101 of music studio. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this.
Glad you like it!
Is it okay to connect both my scarlett solo and my akai mpk mini to the computer through a 10$ hub ?
I dont wanna break them
Yes, you can. But think about getting a better usb hub soon.
Thanks a lot Sanjay, I was looking out for a video like this for many days, and here I got a best one from you, pretty simple & clear info for a basic Home Studio setup. Thanks again, God bless your efforts.
Thanks so much!
Very very useful . THANKS SO MUCH FOR starting from the basics
Finally simple and straight to the point thanks bro
Thank you
Sanjay C 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I've learned a lot from your videos. You are now like a mentor. I'm setting up my home studio, only missing a midi controller which I already ordered. Can't wait!
Thanks, Jacobo! Congrats on the coming keyboard!
Hello sanjay c nice and informative video but can u tell that how do you save your plugin collection in your computer
Thanks.
Your sir make GREAT videos! Very Helpful!
Dude! I love your vids. People forget sometimes. You show them how absolutely simple everything really is. This is something that every artistic individual should explore.
Just rebuilding my Set up Appreciate you Sanjay
Hello Sanjay! Thank you, this video is very clear and concise for setting up your own home studio workstation!!
Glad it was helpful!
@@SanjayC Thank you, I appreciate it. I am sure I can google my way through Logic Pro. You do a great job giving lots of different terms that things are known for so it makes it very easy to adapt.
Another great video Sanjay. Clear and concise.
Much appreciated!
Ohh God thank you so much for this video! I got all my stuff not knowing what to do with it🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Thank you Sanjay!❤
Glad I could help! Let me know how it turns out for you!
