    This is a good rough approach. Having this finished animation, I could use 3D software to animate the boat with the finished animation as a reference. Possibly integrate rotoscoping on the boat itself. The final step would be placing some form of scale reference along the water.

    • @vgmaster9
      @vgmaster9 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, doing it without any 3d reference is absolute hell.

    I'd like to point out that the latest version of Animate has a virtual camera, which means you can now do all the movements with one layer that control the camera, you can do tweens and scaling like any other layer excepted it'd act on the camera filming the scene

    Have you done a video that's strictly focused on more advanced camera work? I know you've touched on in several videos as it pertains to whatever animation or concept you're covering in that vid, but has there been one that covers camera movement more in depth? It's an area I'm struggling with a bit and your vids are usually very helpful. Any tips would be appreciates

    So this got me thinking... I am pretty adept at gestural drawing, I can pretty well design a character. I have the resources to hone down anatomical resources. But to draw an environment, its perspective, scale, and detail, and to set characters in that environment... I find a great lack of patience coupled with the feeling of being overwhelmed. With characters, it's easy to find my focus, but with the space around them, I have so many ideas, but I have a hard time realizing any of them, especially in any detail.

    • @HowardWimshurst
      @HowardWimshurst  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Horse-leaf's Cabbage your best chance is to train yourself to enter a state of flow. You need to clear at least a few hours to have uninterrupted work - including no bathroom breaks or water so have that covered. In a flow state you are concentrating so hard that time loses all meaning. Hours become minutes, minutes become seconds

    if me, cause the ship is not changing, I will animated the ship with 3d and make dynamic movement and render it, it serve as a good base for animating.

    • @HowardWimshurst

    I hate to admit it, but every time I start an animation. I would always complicate it with application anatomy before the rough sketch is done.

    the whole thing with the wild fur vid how did you add the background.i just want to know how to put background in my animation i currently have adobe after effect,flash and photoshop can you help

    • @HowardWimshurst
      @HowardWimshurst  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      export different layers of your painting in photoshop as PNG images - you can select what to show and what not to show by hiding layers when you export. Then you can bring them into flash and use them as separate layers to add depth

      I am defiantly in the works of that my friend. Chester Benningtion is my favorite singer and I will make something Anime-ish to the table. Its gonna look a lot like Breaking the Habit but with rotoscoped clips from his other music videos in black and white. I'm on the early stages of that at the moment just getting clips to work with. I am sort of a student of Howard Wimshurst so I will do my best dude.
