ET has been given some love from the maintenance dept! I’ve seen ET looking like it’s falling apart and it has shutdown several times. Now everything moves smoothly, ET says your name, and a lot of the effects have been fixed! Spielberg must have made some calls! Hope this stays like this! 😊
Thanks for stating what those changes were. Some of us have never been on this ride, and since so much of it is in the dark, I can't tell this POV ride video from all previous. Basically it sounds like it got repaired. Nice.
I went on this ride for the first time (in at least 25 years when it was in Hollywood) and I shed a tear. I didn't realize there was a scent (and that had it been removed) up until I read reddit threads, but gotta say it's as magical as ever. I hope it stays forever.
I see that trick water effect still isn't working. They really need to get this ride refreshed and all of the effects working and possibly updated. E.T. is such a classic ride, we always make sure to take an adventure multiple times when visiting USO
Yes there were rumors of Pokemon replacing Simpsons, Legend of Zelda replacing the Lost Continent and what would replace Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in the near future after Epic Universe opens?
I'm trying to remember. I rode this ride when I was very little and I loved when ET says your name. I was in awe and the name I provided wasn't my own but I can't think of what name I had on the ride. 😆 Also .. at least while I was little I thought the first part of this ride was scarier than Jaws or King Kong 😂 The woods smell was amazing though.
I am in favor of ET Adventures being removed but ony if they replace it with something that's worth it. I will not be in favor if they replace it with garbage like Fast & Furious Supercarged or the Jimmy Fallon ride.
His vice grip on Universal is threatening to never make a new film with them again. He was pissed they removed the Hollywood install for a new ride without asking and that they scrapped the boat from Jaws from the backlot tour.
I totally agree. I hate this ride. It's so outdated and that smell that everybody seems to love, smells like mold to me. The whole ride creeps me out. Wish Speilberg would lighten up and let this ride be replaced.

Speilberg is a consultant on Epic Universe so it's highly possible he saw what shape it was in.
they’ve also refilled the canisters with the scents and also added some new ones
It was looking rough when I went in 2019. Glad they fixed it, looks way better in the video.

I went last weekend. My favorite ride is more beautiful than ever! E.T. deserves to be the resort’s national landmark!
I Can't Believe E.T. Adventure is the Last Operating Opening-Day Attraction at Universal Studios Florida! Hopefully They will keep it a bit Longer
As long as Spielberg is alive it'll be OK. It'll live on as the Universal Orlando equivalent of Disney's _It's A Small World._

how long has that been inoperative? the last time i went on this ride (late last year) it was working from what i remember. could be wrong
Just went last week and it was working. I was scared it was going to turn back and soak me lol

This is the only thing keeping ET relevant which is why spielberg wont allow it to be shuttered. Hope he lets go of this stale ride soon

This ride needs to go...im a fan of the film but this was always a boring attraction imo.

It is literally opening back up tomorrow from refurbishment if they were to tear it down than that’s just a bunch of wasted money.
