Good advice BEFORE DISASSEMBLING the key! Faced the problem of a broken key (was in the table for 3 years). I thought - well, that's it, I need to change the battery, I started watching these videos! Before opening the key, order something on Ali, etc. - try the following: 1) charge the idle key! 2) after charging, try to bind it to the car! 1) The battery is very reliable inside. But it also sits down with time. It is charged - while driving - when the key is inserted into the lock. Ride for a couple of hours with the key in the lock! 2) After such a potential charge, try to bind to the car. On many forums and videos - it is written how to do it. (Briefly: Press "Open" - while pressing "Open" - press "Close" 3 times. Then release "Open" - and the doors should close and open.) If this happened, then everything is fine! The key is charged! You just need to charge it sometimes! I did so - and it helped me! I saved myself from the fun activity of sawing a key and other dances with a tambourine. Maybe this advice will help someone else.
Just buy a $15 AK90+ coder, plus a new $6 key from AliExpress. Easiest method possible. Make sure the key includes a the circuit board and ID44-7935AA (PCF7935) transponder chip. If you're in the US, you need 315mHz frequency; Europe 433mHz.
That's awesome. Wish I saw this before I bought the AK90+ coding module. But it was cheap... Question: Reason why I'm here is bc the diamond key often hits the trunk unlock while in my pocket or pulling it out to start the car. Happens enough to where I looking for a better design. I think your key fob would work better for this problem. Have you encountered anything like this with that fob?

Hello. Thanks for the video but I have a question. The remote control of my key stopped working and changing the battery didn't help and I don't want to pay much for a new key. I was wondering if I order a key with remote control without a chip and if I unsolder the chip from the old original key and glue it inside the new key is it going to work or not ? Thanks.
You have to make sure to grab the chip, the capacitor and the coil, and solder them together like I show in the video. The chip by itself has no means to communicate to the lock. The led is only for fun, you don't have to solder it on. If you're uncomfortable soldering, you can program a new key to lock & unlock, and use the old key to start the car...
@@kefalandia the new chips have the capacitor and coil integrated inside the chip, and they do not have any soldering connections. The BMW chip uses external components because it also charges the battery. The BMW chip cannot communicate without the coil and capacitor.

Any chance you saved or at least measured the capacitance value of the one you removed from the OEM board?

Hello. how to program this key on open and lock function? my car e46 2001
Which key do you use in the first instance where you turn to position one and hold unlock while pressing lock? Don't you have to do the same pressing on the original key first?
No, you don't need to press anything on the original key. All you need is a valid chip on the key in the ignition.

some good flux and a desoldering braid will do magic. I recommend using a temperature controlled soldering iron to avoid messing up the components.
