You are the reason I brought my xhorse everything and got rid of my old cutter. xhorse has the integration. They have done great with the obd tool. Just a few more updates and it will be perfect.
Thank You for making this video detailing the reading and writing of the MCU bin file. I got a Z3 EWS that no longer works . Easier to reprogram a new EWS with the bin file than to remove the Elmos 10029A IC.
Just an FYI, you don't have to re-read the EWS with the key in the slot. It's only repeating what you already did when you first read the EWS without the key in it. Read the EWS, the Read the key and you're ready to program it. You don't have to repeat reading the EWS with the key in the slot. Save a little time anyway. Great video.
When programming keys you shouldn’t pick the next one in line because if they order key from dealer it will go into the next slot ( which is the one you used ) always better to go to a higher number like 8 or 9
That's exactly what must of happend to me! The old owner of my car must of used the dealer slot. I've now had a key made from the BMW dealer that will not start my car. Can I use the software to re write the key?

I got a key from Amazon it came with a XT27 chip instead of the PCF7935.... the xt27 is usable in a bmw but needs to be cloned first to a pcf7935 setting inside the chip, the ak90 can not do that! I had the same problem you did at first basically, I spent an hour figuring that out hahaha but I now have PCF7935 chips on the way here and I'll be good to go I'm hoping!

For the 52-pin socket orientation, at 5:40 in the video, pin1 is at the lower left corner which should be matched to the onboard chip with the cut off corner. Don't use the arrow corner as a reference.

What’s the difference between this method and the procedure of matching the keys with the car, turning ignition on and off and pushing the buttons? One is for programming transponder into immo and other one is only to match remote?

Hi and thanks for the tutorial ;) I followed carefuly all the steps, but when I check the "virgin" key after writing on it, It shows the new key number (7) and not the 86 as showed when was a virgin key anymore, but the KM and VIN numbers are empty... what did I do wrong? Follwed carefully each step... The key stills blank today as didn´t have time to mill the blank key so din´t test it but every video about this shows the new key with VIN and KM numbers....

I guess that the software of the AK comes from a previous version, as I did read a PDF with instructions, same version as mine and showing also these empty slots... Hey bud. So I have the AK90 and a new "ebay" key I need to program. That seems like the easy part. Hard part is I bought a key from the dealer, and it doesn't work. It must be assigned to a slot already used. Can I just add this key to a new slot? Or is this key dead now? It doesn't work at all

Awesome video! I used the ak 90 to program some bmw keys today. When I wrote back to the EWS at the end of the process I got an error, that said "Error writing to EWS! " or something like that. I tried it twice, got the same message. But the new keys were programmed ok. I put the EWS back in the car and everything worked fine with the new keys and the old key etc. Has anyone gotten that error before when writing to the EWS? Should i just ignore it? Otherwise everything worked fine.

I tried to do 2006 Mini Cooper. Ews 3+. Using im508,Xp400pro and apb114. It read eeprom. Then add key to file but would not save after add key. So I was unable to write file with key back into ews. Has anyone else experienced this?
I from EU. I have '97 e39 with ews3. I bought a new key case from china with brand new board(seller said it work with 315mhz and 433mhz) and chip(id44). AK90+ works fine when I test my two orginals keys but when I tried to test new key I'm getting error "Unknown key type". Do you know how to solve it?

Regardless you can still over write keys. And you can do whatever keys for number 1 slot and they will all work.

The on and off procedure is only for the fob portion..this is for the immobiliser transponder chip

You could make a key from scratch but you would also need a lishi to decode and make a new key!!

U probably selected the oem key and not after market..

It doesnt reccomed you do it for 10 ,however I have downloaded on the windows 10 before though didnt seem to have an issue..

you do not have to write anything back unless you are erasing keys from the system just write your key and then plug back in ews and start the car.

Awesome video! I used the ak 90 to program some bmw keys today. When I wrote back to the EWS at the end of the process I got an error, that said "Error writing to EWS! " or something like that. I tried it twice, got the same message. But the new keys were programmed ok. I put the EWS back in the car and everything worked fine with the new keys and the old key etc. Has anyone gotten that error before when writing to the EWS? Should i just ignore it? Otherwise everything worked fine.

Hello, there are some sellers online where you can buy a key already cut if we send a photo. My question, when you read the ews aren't there any key code that you can send them, to get a better cut key. Thanks
Im not sure i know any other place than the dealer but not with a photo!! Theres a software but im nor sure what its called.. not sure if it would be 100% accurate..

Ews 3 ..located under the dash on the driver side!! You can create a key with ak90 no adapters needed!

I tried to do 2006 Mini Cooper. Ews 3+. Using im508,Xp400pro and apb114. It read eeprom. Then add key to file but would not save after add key. So I was unable to write file with key back into ews. Has anyone else experienced this?
Did you change the name of the file?

I from EU. I have '97 e39 with ews3. I bought a new key case from china with brand new board(seller said it work with 315mhz and 433mhz) and chip(id44). AK90+ works fine when I test my two orginals keys but when I tried to test new key I'm getting error "Unknown key type". Do you know how to solve it?

How do I know I got a Kline ews?
if all your slots are full and you want to erase keys ..if you have some empty slot and keys are not all used you dont need kline!
@@MYKEYSAUTOMOTIVE i bought a ews to practice with and I bought a used key and I was able to test a key perfectly, but am no getting no connection when reading the 04dj chip no connection i remover the coating from the legs real good but no luck, maybe a faulty ews, I’d ont know, I ordered another to tryout again
