I have nothing but admiration for japanese craftsmen!
I can feel the respect and love that they have for their work, but also their concerns about the future of their business, as a tradition!
Thank you for this amazing channel!
I'm sending you my best wishes from Greece! 🇬🇷🌹
This has nothing to do with asian incense tradition... also this was 100% chemical.
Look at your home.. you have mount Athos incense and also kios mastic, that is one of the best resin for making incense in the world.
@@Siddhanta8905 100%. I have mount athos incense at home.
So do I. Feel sorry for their hard work which has caused them serious health problem . Both have their cervical columm severely affected😢
It is Almighty Allah who gives these beautiful smells to people without reciprocation. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
It was an honor to watch the process of handcrafted incense;the respect and love emanated from everyone involved in the process. Thank you for sharing this craft here on TH-cam. Stay safe and be well.
I mean, it's all very laudable but people are just going to set these on fire and walk away. The Japanese work hard for hard works sake and it shows in their economy.
It is Almighty Allah who gives these beautiful smells to people without reciprocation. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
You can always tell that the Japanese take pride in their work.
This has nothing to do with tradition
@@Siddhanta8905May I ask what you meant?

Tradition does not involve chemicals and automatic industrial process.
Thank you for sharing this. I'm sure some parts of this process go back hundreds of years, and others have only been changed by technology. Absolutely fascinating.
Nothing to do with tradition, just the wooden tray and maybe the dryng process.
It is Almighty Allah who gives these beautiful smells to people without reciprocation. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
The hand-made sticks are way more in-shape than the machine-made ones!
Respect!
Enjoyable watching as usual, love watching old skill methods.
a real moment of pleasure! a moment of relaxation thank you and the music that accompanies the video goes well.
😊 thank you 💚
The work of an artisan is the song of his culture.
Love from Italy❤
Those are some good quality Incense 👍 I like the sandal wood an green bamboo lavender one just some of my favorite out of the many 😀✌️❤️
Very labor intensive but calming and meditative at the same time.
It's lovely to see that even the elderly have an opportunity to work and keep thwir minds and bodies busy, moving and they work at their own pace. It's lovely how they can continue feeling useful and valuable in a society that pushes out any aging sign and more any aging person.
Their dedication, patience, experience, diligence, respect for the product and process used to craft what they do, and talent cannot be unappreciated or disappear. The newer generations need to learn from them.
Unfortunately, there are not enough young people in Japan, and too few wish to continue these traditional crafts. These products will disappear all too soon.
@@cathys949 it's truly a shame 😞
The couple at the beginning are really fit for their age 🥰
A lovely video of real Masters at work! I love the fact that they even seem to reuse the plastic bags that they put the blocks in!! So much plastic is wasted these days.
I will think of these craftsmen every time I light the incense stick for my ancestors.❤😊
That old couple have been at it a long time.
It is Almighty Allah who gives these beautiful smells to people without reciprocation. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
Judging by their ages they have been doing this for years, and are true crafts people. And will continue their craft until they physically cannot do so. True Japanese spirit and craftsmanship.
I use Japanese incense sticks every day. Highly recommended and actually quite affordable!
Thank you.

Very relaxing to watch and listen to. Thank you for your video
Hermoso Video.
Just makes you want to buy their products😊 ...it's wonderful to see the elderly continuing tradition...
I'm sure there's a younger generations that are helping at these places, but you can only see them when there's a new gaming console or smartphones coming out, and they do part time jobs like these to earn it...
Japanese are known for their hard working attitude.
MADE IN JAPAN !!!! 🇯🇵

The smells inside that work area must be amazing ! 🥰 Thanks for the post ! 👍
a paciência e a delicadeza é algo fora do comum dos Orientais... Eu fico admirado pelo trabalho deles.
Such beautiful craftsmanship ❤

Maybe if you get the chip in your brain it can make you think you’re smelling something. But then bill gates could give you one hell of a virus 🦠 sooo not sure it’s worth it
Very interesting process to watch. Great content. Stay safe.
Fantástico trabajo, gracias por compartir 👏👏👏
I love Japan and Japanese people. I would like to wish everybody there a very happy New Year. Love and peace. Tim
That was nice to watch and really nice music.
I bet your shop smells absolutely magical.
Très intéressant, merci pour la vidéo!
I confirm : they are the same workers since ... 1850 !!! Machines also . Realy !
They make breakfast cereal on the weekend.
...one of those "old world" pieces that i really wish was better accessable here in America.
...Thank you for the post in any case, always absolutely appreciated.
I'm sure there are odd cuts in the video because they want to keep parts of the process a secret. This is amazing. I'm grateful they agreed to show parts of this process.
They showed everything. Milling, extruding, cutting, drying, packaging, and testing.
Unlikely. They aren't exactly building a stealth aircraft 😂
This shown was a fully industrialized process, and with chemicals. Nothing to do with tradition.
Simple production process with modern machines. Traditional???
I have COMPLETELY new respect for those that make these incense. Much thanks from Missouri USA. 💌
Me gustaría poder realizarlo. Es una excelencis. Muchas gracias. Muchas bendiciones.*
Beautiful process
Awesome job, love the handmade incense sticks.
What a wonderful artwork.
Thank you for sharing
If everyone worked as hard as the old people here the world would truly be a better place
It must smell so wonderful there! 😊
As a artist this video is very satisfying and soothing 😢
Fascinating and beautiful! I wonder, how many years the first, older couple have been making Incense?
but they are still very active, still feeling useful is a very important part of life, as we age.
making incense by hand, is quite an art indeed! 😀
Do you ship these incense products to other countries ?
I love looking at time-worn object videos this came up in my suggestions and I am so glad ❤😊
So some sticks are made semi-traditionally and some use a more modern approach. Interesting. Clearly the people making them the more manual way had decades of experience. The body may be old, but the mind is still sharp. Thanks for showing what is rapidly becoming a lost art in the brutal world of capitalism.
By the looks of it a family run business, he young people running the machines know how to make it the old way, but use machines as a means of increasing productivity. That elderly couple be the grandparents
3:49 Look at that tongue sticking out, you know this man takes his craft seriously, fully concentrating on his work.
Such amazing skill.
I bet that room smells so good👍🏻 keep up the hard work good job👍🏻
Thanks for this video
Best of Best 👍
The natural air drying by moving the slats for air circulation is the same as the "Old Fashioned' drying tobacco leaves used for cigar wrappers. Up until the early 70s in the US in the Connecticut River Valley from the Long Island Sound to the Vermont + New Hampshire border from the air the whole thing was white. The tobacco was grown un white canopies. Miles and miles of it. Next or in the fields were tobacco barns. They would harvest the leaves and sew them to boards. Then they would hang the boards in the barns. Every couple of feet on the barns you boards on wall were on hinges or were removable. They would open them like the slats for drying the leaves. Some farmers would modernize and wrap the barn in plastic and use forced hot air. Premium cigar makers would opt for the natural air drying.
I immediately thought of the tobacco barns. I have been in CT all my life and I learned about the barns from my father, also a Connecticut native
We had tobacco barns for drying in southern WI also but I think It was for chew. Looked like very hard work
It looks like a superb product! I hope shipping costs from Japan to the USA aren't too expensive!
Ive never really given much though to the production of incense before, i love lighting it at home (even if my friends think its a weird hippy thing) but wow. This process is fascinating and beautiful.
Awesome video 🙌👌👍😊🍀
OMG! This is the company which makes my favorite incense, Kozenko and Tenpeiko!
Thank you for creating this video and much respect and admiration to the workers!
The fragrance in that factory must be amazing !
Wonderful job 👏
That factory must smell amazing.
Saludos desde Perú, qué hermoso trabajo
Been burning incense for years and years. The Japanese type like this has a more delicate aroma, is less overwhelming and harsh, and has a more "transparent" aroma than others.
Damn it’s awesome how some of these low tech hand made things can really make a decent production scale product. I admire those that still take these processes as skill. Worth the money to pay for good skilled products.
I'll bet the whole place is the best smelling town in Japan 😊
muito bom trabalho
Quanta serenità nel guardare il lavoro artigianale… 😌
nice work! ✌
Ngiyaqala ukubona kwenziwa i-incense, kuyamangalisa! Ngihlezi ngiyisebenzisa, ngizibuze ukuthi ingabe yenziwa kanjani😂😊
