You convinced me to try forge welding with stainless! I thought it was some mystical and magical technique, thanks for showing it is "simpler" than that! The most important thing is to weld very well and not leave any hole to let the air get through. However very nice power hammer!
As to what @Akinaro said, use some cutting fluid while drilling on hardened steel so as not to severely Dull your Bits, if you want to make the process go a little faster you really should Draw Temper the tang to soften it up a little bit... Use a torch and heat the tang to a deep Blue or Plum color, mark your holes, drill them out... Profit. Anyhow, I've been following your videos for a few months and I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the level of skill you bring to bear being so young, so I dropped you a Sub a couple of days ago... And from now on I'll be watching your progress with interest 🙂
I always drill holes with some fluid, water wd40 anything. On already hardened steel its not really make it easier but drill bit don't get fcked so easily... Also like always God damn good work. Knife look amazing.
