Ive been listening the book. Im 4 hours in... amazing! What a trip! He gets all the dinamics in the narration of the stories that a regular narrator wouldn't do, or get. Even if it was scripted.

I was expecting him to show the video but I’m perfectly fine not seeing it that was a private moment that he wanted to remember. It was nice enough to let us know his daughter got a piano lesson from frickin Paul McCartney.

You can only get a grasp of how immense Paul McCartney is when an artist so great as Dave Grohl says that he is reluctant to take pictures of his moments shared with Paul and that he only made it once, when Paul was teaching piano to Dave's little daughter.
Love Dave Grohl. To be at the level he is and still get gobsmacked when a legend becomes mortal.
Dave is not only in the club but he’s also a fan of artists and music.

You know when someone asks you “ if you had to be stranded on an island who would you want stranded with you?” Well Dave Grohl is one of them! He’s so down to earth and a decent guy who can tell and sing amazing stories. He can also bring his wife and kids cause my hubby and kids were my other island tribe choices : )
I'd rather go for Paul as the first choice, but I could settle for Dave if it means he'll introduce me once we find our way back to society XD

I always listen to rock when I drive and when my son was about 7 a song came on the radio and he said, "Is that the Beatles?" I was so floored that he knew who they were! A proud moment. 🤗🖖💕
I had my grandson over to help me clear out some things. Had a notebook with a picture of the Beatles in the cover sleeve. He asked if that was the Beatles. Proud Grandma.

i come back to this over and over and over... this and his eulogy for Lemmy. What a solid man with a heart so big for his daughters, his fam, and his circle. Dave is SOLID strong kind and funny as hell. I want to buy him a three finger pour of whiskey and just listen to his stories.

Dave is just incredible isn't he? Lucky enough to have a Beatle in his house teaching his daughter an instrument, but still not at all detached to understand how lucky he is to be in that position.
I simply wouldn’t be able to resist asking Paul about Everton… as much as I love music… that’s a question that burns deep in my soul.
Paul has admitted his Dad was an Everton supporter but he wont commit in Public because he is forever diplomatic.
He has said he was raised Everton. He is friends with Liverpool club and he now supports both

Ohh. .. so sorry about the five year old's decision. My daughter would've done the exact same thing at that age. She wanted her life to be her own -- understandably -- but even a glimpse of her talent would send her scuttling into privacy. I hope she returned to the piano!
I bet she will.....something she won't forget and at some point she'll become aware of how special that moment was. :-)
I was like that! I only played music when no one was home and all the windows were closed, and I'm talking ages 9-22 when I moved out😅 My mother made me promise her that when I have a family they will hear me play
She is now 13 and does play the drums. Her older sister Violet has a beautiful voice. They’ve accompanied Dave on many tours and events.

So, apparently the piano lesson was so impressive that the girl immediately realized that she never could play the piano like Paul then decided to not play it again. Smart girl.

This is one hella of a story and Dave was able to tell it properly for everyone to appreciate. If he did this on Fallon, the moment he said Paul's name, Jimmy would flip, say wow over and over again then tells everyone that too had a night with Paul too and everyone forgets Dave's story. Also, the fans not wooing and clapping when Dave namedropper McCartney is just perfect.

Omg, this is the stuff dreams are made of, mean seriously,the closest I EVER came to a Beatle was when I was 13,it was their debut in the U.S, on The Ed Sullivan show.
I was inches from our television,kneeling ,weeping like a baby ,my brothers were laughing,and I was convinced I would one day marry George Harrison ,and so did ten million other teens think that of each Beatle,sad to think that half of that group is now gone
