Michael Jackson's phone calls must be one of the funniest things I've ever heard from the mouth of several artists. Steve Lukather once told that he received a call from "Michael", he said in his MJ voice: "Hi, this is Michael"; then he immediately hung up because he thought it was a joke, it happened two times; at the third MJ's manager called Lukather and said "Steve, he really is Michael". I also think that it was a common joke between people on the 90s and 00s, to just call random people and say "Hi, this is Michael", cracks me up everytime.
I absolutely love Katy, I love her music, videos, the whole thing. I'm a complete fan. But Paul is an icon of an icon. He's responsible for changing our culture. His impact cannot be measured especially in terms of singles and hits. Katy is is a star of sugar pop, and she does it better than anyone and I love it. There's just no comparison between the two.
I have so much love for Paul McCartney, I've been a fan since I've heard that "Let it be" and "The Long and winding road", this man is really a music legend...:)
Katy Perry has been such an inspiration to me. Her sincere words made me realize that after finishing my 4675586 coffee I have to stand up and move with my life and plans...Thank you Kate!
The title is misleading. Let me just break it down for you: first of all, Katy didn't even say what's in the title. Katy is amazed by the fact that sir Paul McCartney can still share his talent after such a long time and does it so well, still. Of course, if you were given a chance to be in the music industry after working so hard to reach your current status, you would long for a lasting career. These people didn't get famous overnight. They worked hard for it. They wanted it and now that they have it. Watch the video first and hear what she really said before you throw her some shitty and mean comments and accuse her of being the bad guy just because you don't like her.
everyone's got an attitude about what katy said. she was humble and sweet and recognized the legend sitting next to her and clearly looks up to him, and he was just as fabulous and sweet to her. what's the issue?
Paul McCartney is a perfect 10/10 artist, and Katy Perry is like a 2/10. She has to rely on technology for the beat of a lot of her songs (or maybe all of them, i haven't heard one of her songs in a long time) and she also needs help when writing music. Paul McCartney could play several instruments, and he wrote his own songs. Not to mention Paul was once a member of the most revolutionary band of all time!
So daft punk is bad because they rely on technology to make their music? Are we gonna get someone to say that using instruments is bad too, we have to only use body sounds like whistling and clapping? Although I agree that katy perry isn't a great musician or artist, your thoughts on why she isnt a good one are totally off. Co-writing or getting "help" isn't a bad thing. Why can't more than one person dedicate themselves into writing a song? And of course it takes talent to play instruments, but just because you don't play an instrument or set of instruments doesn't make you a bad artist
Back when I listened to “The Girl is Mine” after Michael died, my concern wasn’t with Sir Paul being bitter about the way Michael acquired the publishing rights to the Beatles catalog. It was how amazed Paul must’ve felt to outlive the guy.
Wow when she said "I hope to even have half his career" Paul Said "Or twice my career" shows how humble he is despite him being a beatle but katy was like yeah no lol, Paul is a living legend and when he faked that heart attack 😂😂😂😂
Why is everyone in the comments hating so much over Katy? She’s not saying she’s better than Paul or anything, she’s actually very nervous for being next to someone as great as him, that’s why she said stupid things, she admires him :) No hate on any, Paul didn’t take it bad either.
Paul McCartney has written 43 songs that have sold more than a million. Legend. Katy perry will not be heard of in a few generations time. But sir Paul will be. One of the most prolific songwriters of all time without doubt a true icon.
Musically I don't like either one anyhow so I don't mind. I'm just watching this because it was in my recommended video's most likely because I've watched other clips from this talk show. I would say she is infinitely less talented though.

People like sir Paul McCartney will live beyond eons with his music which he co wrote with his friend & another genius Mr. John Lennon.
I love him so much, how freaking adorable is he. Paul McCartney is a blessing on this earth.
what a babe, Katy Perry isn't bad either.
If you think this girl can sing then you don't know diddly about music.
@@mrfester42 nobody said anything about her singing ability. So I think the biggest concern here is your failing eyesight not what you perceive to be my musical tastes.

That got a legit laugh out loud from me. Well done.

Paul does a perfect impression of Michael
I love Paul's voice even when he talks, He has that perfect British pronunciation, it sounds like music to my ears. =) And his sense of humour is so funny! He's gorgeous... I send "all my loving to you!" =D
British pronunciation? He's a Scouser 😂
@@user-vj5xg8yc5f Scousers are British
Funny how top musicians have a way of almost being like kids in joking, and playful. It's really great that they are witty and funny.
Does Perry not realize that her producer is only gonna pay for people to write music for her as long as she is young? If you wanna be around for the long haul as an artist, you have to be an artist in the first place, not a corporate creation
+MrMonkeyCommander They're just products some producers created. The artists, their fans...they don't think about that. Maybe one day when some younger and more beautiful singer shows up they would try to become something else.
Well, did Madonna wrote her own stuff?
+MrMonkeyCommander Even if what you're saying is true, and even if her producers decided one day to throw her under a bus, she's become so popular that she could write anything and it would still be a hit.
+Desidium not really.
MrMonkeyCommander Don't be so naive. People will buy anything from popular celebrities.
Paul's impersonation of Michael Jackson is priceless. It's not even necessarily good, but it's funny.
He also impersonates paul while inpersonating MJ..now thats talent

@Silvio Manuel He was proven innocent in court. Do you still live in the 90s?
I don't know what they're really like off the screen, but Katy Perry definitely seems much more down to earth than Taylor Swift does on this show.
Well i see Taylor as more "Down to earth" because she just seems more real than Katy, and speaks like a normal person, you would speak to her as a normal person not a celebrity
+esme 380 I think that about Katy
+aidsbrigade they're referring to the time taylor swift was on this show
+aidsbrigade omg I laughed at your comment way longer than I should have or usually do. Thanks for making me actually laugh out loud.
I see TS as incredibly uppity, like the smile and what not is so put on. After all it was Katy who referred to TS as Ragina George in sheeps clothing. Of course I don't know either of them or what goes on behind the scenes but that's pretty telling. As telling as a one sided comment can be. TS is one of the very few celebrities who's mere appearance or mention, makes my blood boil. I can quite put my finger on it & no it isn't jealousy.
Paul's impression of Michael is actually pretty good lol
Paul wtf sounds so young and full of joy I LOVE IT IM GONNA CRY
Not bad for a Liverpudlian. That Michael Jackson impression was spot on!
R. V. It’s scouser not livipudlian
Masterspy I’m from Liverpool I know it’s scouser

And Micheal is gone and Sir Paul is still gracing us with his presence + music!
nothing to celebrate about
I would trade Paul for Michael any day. He doesn’t come close to the King.
Katy's surprised that McCartney is still alive,McCartney is surprised that Katy even has a career.

Eladrio RAU Lmao shut up little girl
I am NOT a fan of Katy Perry's by any measure...but in her defense, if I were sitting next to Paul F--king McCartney, I'd be lucky if I were capable of anything resembling English at all, so...
There's no comparison. Paul is an adorable and funny person that needs to be protected at all costs so nothing ever happens😂❤
"He's Dead"@sloan957
I love Paul’s impression of Micheal 😂
His Paul McCartney impression is much better than his Michael Jackson impression.
He used to do a mean Viv Stanshall
I think a lot of people don't realize how nervous she was in that interview. I can see that she truly admires him.
"Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on" hahaha Oh Katy.
Paul is the living legacy. He will continue to inspire the new generation of musicians.

Sir Paul McCartney. A true legend.

“Oh hohohohoho!... and then he did.”
I love that Katy said she'd be lucky to have "half" Paul's career...
He said, "Or twice."
#classy
Yep. Great people always inspire others to be great.
everyone's got an attitude about what katy said. she was humble and sweet and recognized the legend sitting next to her and clearly looks up to him, and he was just as fabulous and sweet to her. what's the issue?
She'll be lucky to be remembered in 4 years, let alone 40.
Russell Brand struggles with her name now. :)
During Katy Perry's break she wasn't relevant for a while, until she started releasing music again though.
Paul is the PERFECT interview every time.
God his MJ impression is awesome
Paul will live forever
Paul is a jewel of a man and must be protected at all costs
"They ask you how are you and you have to say that you are fine when you are not really fine..." 0:38
paul mccartney touched her hand, she's so lucky 😩😩
Back when I listened to “The Girl is Mine” after Michael died, my concern wasn’t with Sir Paul being bitter about the way Michael acquired the publishing rights to the Beatles catalog. It was how amazed Paul must’ve felt to outlive the guy.
Well Michael Jackson would have lived longer if not pressured to sell the Beatles catalog
p.s. if i was there next to him, i would probably be so much more excited.
I would be bouncing on my seat uncontrollably excitedly and "accidently" brushing against him.
