If you have been following me for a while, you might understand how amazing this is for me - to have a set based around some of my designs is a real milestone! And to have Multipick produce them; just wow! 😃 Not only that, the look absolutely FANTASTIC (even if I do say so myself); and do they work? Yes! I love them 😍😍😍
Congrats brother, well done! Any chance you're going to give away a set? I'd love a Lock Noob set that came from Lock Noob himself, that would be great! If not, could I just buy a set from you?
Another great collab between Noob and Multipick. It just shows how many opportunities there are for talented pickers to improve lock sport. Of course I'll be buying this set.
I have a variety of picks from multi pick and I have using them for years, very pleased with the company and the quality of the product they put out. Great video thank You for sharing.
Congradulations LN looks like a great set. You must be very proud! I'm only half a year or so into this interesting hobby thanks to you and the others.. I want so many picks sets! Appreciate all your knowledge and guidance.
I just got mine today. They are beautiful. I have been using homemade picks so I had no idea how small they were. One lock that's was having trouble with, using my giant picks, I opened with every one of these things. I love them.
Very nice review on a well crafted set. I was going to ask where your names for them came from but that question was already answered. Congrats on another stellar design series. Cheers!
@@LockNoob My set arrived this morning, and here are my first impressions. Bear in mind that I already had the Abona and Monith versions, so had developed a bit of a feel for those beforehand. With all of them, especially the new ones with the bigger "nose" piece, I found a couple of pointers that may help some other folks. First thing is (and so far I've used them only on 4 locks - 3 Master locks and a Euro) BE GENTLE. These aren't rakes that require vigorous actions. Gently does it. Second - not only gently, but SLOWLY does it. I found that raking in and out rapidly didn't really work well at all - presumably because the advantage of the high-low peaks was negated by the rapid raking pushing the highs past the pins. But slow it right down, so that the height variations have time to work, and I got all 4 locks open in seconds. Thirdly - tension on the turning tool needs to be almost zero - just enough to stop the turning tool from falling out. You'll still feel the open without any ambiguity. But if you apply too much torsion, then you won't get that bouncing pin effect that makes these work so spectacularly well. Don't know if you agree with these thoughts, but that's just what came to mind as I was trying my brand new set on 4 locks.
I've deliberately stayed clear of raking since I feel that as a dismal amateur, I'm likely to learn more by single pin picking than with a blunt attack method. Rapid entry techniques don't achieve that for me. However, what interests me about this is the versatility and ability to use a rake as a diamond or hook. All my bogotas and worms seem to be of uniform height across the attack surface, so I'd have to switch picks if I were using my current kits. I'd definitely consider this set if I did decide to pursue raking in the future because I'm trying to develop greater finesse and accuracy.
I have done a lot of tools for myself. Actually I started to play with locks from my very young age. Anyway, I have to admit you are very good designer. I recognized one if your tools was very similar! to snake rake but yours was more "sharp". And others... OMG, I ordered them before I watchet that clip until the end. Thank you!!!
Beautiful! Of course it's subjective, but I would supplement the set with a City rake, for those locks which cannot accommodate a Bogotá-derived rake. Thanks Ash. 🙂👍
I am new to sport picking and have been enjoying your videos. I am a huge fan of your Sparrows collaborations. The Monkey Paw and Medusa are my goto picks. I am still working to successfully pick a full set of your chess security pins. I have had my eye on the Multipick brand but wasn't sure I should justify the price. I think this rake set has pushed me over the edge. Not sure if I can wait for them to be available from a U.S. site, I may have to buck up and pay those extra shipping fees.
@@LockNoob I took the leap late last night and bought the set. I added a practice lock to get a different experience for what I have been working with, I am excited to see how these feel and perform. Now that I have started paying closer attention to the biting on every key I own and see in the wild I am surprised that picks like these aren't more standard. I think it is very cool that you are able to work with these companies as you are doing. Keep up the great work!
I was thinking to add this four pieces to my multipick 17 set with the spp 1.2 and 4 0,4add on . I think I wil not need any bogota if I have these right? I am a single picker but unjust want to have fun sometimes 😅
Just love the quality of multipick top shelf really nice gear i thought Peterson was awesome and they are but multipick go to the next level again and just make beautiful tools any lock picker just must have at any cost and who would blam him awesome
I wish I could see what you’re doing like if you used a Sparrows Cutaway lock. It’s hard to understand what you mean when you talking about it without seeing it
i agree with you sir! i already have the monolith and abona, use the crap out of the monkey paw, i dont really use any of the rakes, more spp, but i would like to buy the set and more than likely will!

Sadly I have no spares to give 😕
Sadness and sorrow... found them on the multipick website. It's going to be a while before I can add those to my arsenal.
Another great collab between Noob and Multipick. It just shows how many opportunities there are for talented pickers to improve lock sport. Of course I'll be buying this set.
Awesome 👏
Well DHL delivered mine a few hours ago and I'm seriously impressed. Your designs and Multipick's quality are a winning combination.
Thanks 😊
@@LockNoob do you think any of these actually replace something in a kit?
I have a variety of picks from multi pick and I have using them for years, very pleased with the company and the quality of the product they put out.
Great video thank You for sharing.
Thank you!
I just completed my first credit card order for this set. My son helped. Can't wait.
Wow! I hope you like them!

Great set again Ash. Good idea to add the short hook to complete it👍
Thanks 🙏

Congrats! They look great, can’t wait to try them.
Awesome 👏
Awesome ! You should be very proud sir, quite the accomplishment (another) to have folks producing your designs! Beautiful picks 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks 😊

Love the Teylu ^o^ Multipick's jackknife really needs some love, these would be perfect for that!
Cool idea!!
OMG finally, I have said it in some of my reviews even the best rake sets need a hook, well done hopefully now others will follow suit
Thanks 😊
@Lock Noob - my set of these is already in transit, ordered yesterday. Great ideas and designs!
Fantastic I hope you like them!!

Interesting profiles I just bought this set .Druim is an Irish word meaning hill or ridge . Great achievement for you well done 👍
It is indeed. All of these names are taken from dialects spoken across Ireland and the British isles. Some still spoken some not
@@LockNoob I’m a fluent Irish from Ireland. Keep up the amazing work 👍
Sweet! And thanks 😊
I couldn’t find them on there sight. Would you have a link by chance?
Looks like a great set!!!
Well done!!!

Nice, giving rakers more choices for attack.👍😁

What pick kit would you recommend to someone that has never touched a lock pick, but wants to get into the hobby of picking?

We are lucky to have such good choice!
Looks like an awesome rake set noob 👍🏻
Thanks 😊
Ok, so that's Druim, meaning a ridge between two mountains, and Taylu, meaning.... I don't know.... are you a Love Island fan?
Oh, Teylu - Cornish for family. OK then.
Do they make them in .04?
I wish I could see what you’re doing like if you used a Sparrows Cutaway lock. It’s hard to understand what you mean when you talking about it without seeing it
I am new to picking what set would you suggest to any starter

Mine arrived today.
Hi bud what a nice set 👌
Thanks 😊
Does MultiPick sell them separately?👍🦊
I’ll have to check!
Very nice 👌
Thanks 🙏
Damn LN - You're an expensive acquaintance. 🙂
Lol sorry!! 😆
i agree with you sir! i already have the monolith and abona, use the crap out of the monkey paw, i dont really use any of the rakes, more spp, but i would like to buy the set and more than likely will!
Are there tales behind the names iam just too uneducated to be aware of === nice looking set
They are words meaning people and hills in largely ancient dialects of Ireland and the British isles. Some still spoken, some not :-)
why do you use the lock in reverse..??.. to be smarter.?
Quier comprarlas
Thanks
Awesome
Why in almost all videos do you have the locks upside-down. It's NOT like that in a door.
That looks like a nice set of pick for raking. Sometimes I think you're modesty out does you! lol
Thank you Gantry :-)
Bought it
Awesome!
