You are doing great here. Love the deep dives on the lore you are uploading. Thanks for your hard work brother. I've always thought the D&D explanation of their reality as interesting. Generations of writers adding to it by now (besides people like Ed Greenwood). There's only a few channels out here compiling the lore (regularly). I like when you add the original artwork as well
Iove your videos! Dang between the 3 fiends, I generally love Devils, but there's something SO interesting about Demons and the Abyss, specifically the obyriths! Edit: Klurichir is perhaps the most terrifying demon created to date.
Demons are chaotic and they give themselves whatever title they feel like, following no rules of logic or consistency. At the end of the day, the title of “prince” is meaningless. Many demon lords call themselves the “prince of ___”, such as Fraz-Urblu being the Prince of Deception or Baphomet being the Prince of Beasts. Demogorgon calls himself the Prince of Demons as an arrogant way of saying he is the most powerful, and so far no one has been strong enough to battle that title from him, so it’s kind of true. But I’m sure the other demon lords would say they simply don’t care enough to take the title but could anytime they wanted to.
Hard to say some argue the title is what gives Demo the power to enslave demons lesser than himself when they get to close others that its his realm or an ability of the demon itself
Whatever form the god wants. 3e says that this is usually a mane, but if the mortal was particularly powerful/special/trustworthy they could have them manifest as a more powerful form such as a yochlol for Lolth.
ahh was unsure as do even demons inhabit said layers like umberlee's realm? im sure some demons do but does that mean their petitioners could take non demon forms? Some water based creature perhaps.@@Genghis_Sean
@@fistimusmaximus6576 demons inhabit every layer of the abyss, even the ones ruled by gods, and a lot of them would work for said god. Petitioners could take on non-demon forms if the god wanted so petitioners to Umberlee could get turned into a shark or octopus or something similar.
@@Genghis_Sean I assumed as much but was unsure how limited the forms would be as heard two different things for example about yochlol, one being they are succubus converted/turned into and another that they are drow priestess turned using a strange device linked to Ghaunadaur.
From the best 9 hells series on TH-cam to the best abyss series on TH-cam
And sooo under appreciated.
13:43 The leather club is three layers down.
Definitely a subscriber to the idea that the abyss is almost an entity of itself. Kind of like the starcraft hivemind but on an unimaginable scale

I’ve been a fan of D&D since 2nd edition. You’re awesome.

I was wondering about this a few days ago.
Don't have much to say right now, but I like the video. Have some engagement.
Great job!
Thanks!
Vroks feels like dark crystal movie.
I didn’t think about that but. Is that you mention it they really do!
🙏
Is there any difference between Demogorgan being called THE Prince of Demons Vs the standard Demon Princes on the 1st layer?

It is also supposed to give him power as all low cr demons are essentially dominated and move closer toward him.

GREAT LORE INVESTIGATION
Wonder what form petitioners take in layers of the abyss ruled by gods and not demons lords like loth or umberlee etc.

What about the Klurichir's ?
WHAT is the opening song?
You’re gonna talk about the layers of the abyss?
I will cover some of them. Probably whichever ones have the most detail. Most of them just have a sentence or two.
