Thankyou for a great in-depth review on the Iriig Pro Duo IO. I found it very helpful. I've just bought myself one to live stream my DJ mixes. The only problem I'm having is when I record through the midi channel into my DJ mixer onto my iPhone. I play back my recording and I can barely hear the music I'm playing but I can hear myself very clearly through my microphone on the other channel. I just wondered if you knew a tall where I was going wrong in setting it up. Many thanks for any help you can prove me. Hope your having a good week, Steve :-)

Nice versatile device, I do agree that adding a USB port for USB mics would be great, even a 3.5mm port for lav mics would be great as well.

Does the aftermarket power supply for the IRig charge your iPad / iPhone while in use ? Or does it only supply power to the IRig unit ? I have asked around and no one has provided me with a answer any help on this will be much appreciated !

Great and very informative review. Hi, i just got my Irig PRO Duo. I find it hard to turn the phantom power switch on and off (the nob doesn’t portrude much at all and it’s difficult to get a grip on it). Is this the case with all Irig PRO Duos or did i get a bad batch? Thanks in advance/ Izak

It's possible to use this interface with my Amplifier, IPhone Amplitube 4, Garageband ou Bias FX,
1 channel before the preamp head and 2 channel after the preamp, in the effect loop, like 4 cable method ?

the proprietary connector should be swapped for USB-C. that would be useful for powering the device as well as you can find adapter cables cheap and easy all day to any other format.

Good shout mate. I have had one of these for several years and I don’t think the input monitoring is working or has ever worked. Any ideas?

@@geekanoids Thanks for that mate but on closer inspection it is working but very quietly & if I turn the volume up Logic Pro just gets to loud. The direct monitoring level needs turning up, the gain control just makes it clip and you still can't hear it.

Could I use my stereo-keyboard via Midi connected with my iPhone, there produce the sound with a software (App) and then bring back the sound to the iRig and route it to an amplifier ?

Have you tried to connect any device to the midi input? Mine give me an unexpected flickering of the midi led and it receives "RT clock" signal, whateve device I connect and whatever midi cable I plug. Maybe mine has an outage. Thanx

I'm having a huge issue and can't find the answer. I just bought one of these and plugged in my Sure SM7B direct into the iRig and went to the iPhone 12 pro video to shoot it and it's only capturing one side. As in, I can only hear the audio in one headphone coming out of the iPhone direct to my air pods. I then thought the input may be damaged, switched to the second and of course now, the sounds is only coming out of the other ear. I've tried changing the sound setting on the ipHone camera to mono and stereo and neither work. Still goes to one side only. And I cannot find ANY information online about how to fix this. It can't be possible that I need to record with 2 mics to get the both sides of the audio! HELP!

I have this device only bought it recently, and I have connected a condenser microphone into this iRig pro dua and then connecting to my iPad but I don’t know what’s the problem is when I doing the livestreams, all my Audience who’s listening to me can only hear left side of the headphones? Do you knows why? Or maybe I need to buy a mixer to balanced the left and right sound ?
Sorry not 100% sure, other than you are capturing mono, so you need to get it to mix to both channels.
does it record microphones in mono where in the sound is center channel? or is it recorded in stereo where the mic is in either left or right ear/speaker only?

I have a blinking red light on one channel. Cant find anything about it. Is it batteries? or whats causing this? also I cant seem to transfer video footage only audio is being transferred and Ive tried many ways. Any ideas?

Yes it’s the battery, you need a 9 volt adapter to charge it or you can replace the batteries
@@nibbledpanda1519 Haha I thought so. The support tech at IRIG (I dont think in this country) told me it was flashing because that means the mic is working. But it wasnt always flashing so that didnt make sense. I dont think the support with IRIG is good at all. Thanks I ordered the power supply

Ahhhhhh! why do they have those bloody propitiatory connectors?! If you lose or damage the cable how much of a pain in the arse is it going to be to replace it? :-/

The proprietary connector ruined this for me. Specially a device that you will use allot on the go will mean lost or broken cables. Having to order a special (hard to get) cable to replace them is terrible. Should have been a normal usb-c connector!

Awful product design. If you lose the cable with that proprietary plug, you're screwed. They should have used a USB port instead. It's a shame. Otherwise it looks like a useful unit. I like that it can run on batteries unlike the audient evo 4.

Ik make great products, but their cables are rubbish.. irig pro keyboard, cables are laughable..on this product the inputs are quarter inch Jack and canon style ...clever ..
