I agree for the most part that 2018 has been rocking! That TDG album was terrible though if you took out singles like The Mountain and Right Left Wrong. I stupidly pre-ordered that one because I thought they were finally back after the debacle of Human, but they got me for $10. Every other song was so bad its stashed in my 1 star trash heap on my non-play list.
There were one or two other good songs on that record. I really like the closing track the abyss, and maybe the new real. But yeah, the rest of it was trash. I am an Outsider in particular was cringeworthy

I have goosebumps on places I didnt knew existed. It is INSANE how good this is. No disrespect to Lzzy's amazing vocals on this track, but this song shows 100% Arejay's skill on the drums. This is his song, it lets him shine. And that bass is a killer as well.

THAT WOMAN IS THE NEW JOAN JETT. She is talented, ferocious, and unbelievably gorgeous. About 4 seconds into the first time I heard this song on the radio, I knew it was one of my favorites. That doesn't happen often.

This is Joann Jett on steroids!, Love Haelstorm ... Lzzy is the true mark for female metal and rock since Lita, Joann, Pat and even Stevie (not metal, but definitely defined the role), she encompasses them all in a raw rhythm that drives right into the heart of it all. True talent and embodiment of rock taken from the female stance, love it!

Glad to hear she's finally giving that raw visceral delivery on the vocals that was missing from previous releases. Her vocals have an attitude here that she would give when jumping on stage with other bands, but not with her own band. Thrilled to hear her cut loose!

Girls have been rocking n' rolling since the '60s. Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Gwen Stefani of No Doubt (before going solo and selling out), Fefe Dobson... list goes on.
I also love that this song has a specific moment every time in the chorus that gives it 'Arabic' feels. It's been something that I've been noticing in more Western music. Breaking Benjamin has done it too.

@@claytonodeneal4731 There's clear psychological reasons for that. On the radio, it's not you who chose to play something you like. So when that happens, you feel validated while you enjoy the song. Therefore radio feels better. Plus radio plays crap 8 out of 10 times, and you feel you've hit the jackpot when it plays something you like, adds to the joy.

I wasn’t a big fan of Halestorm’s last album and was therefore pretty sceptical of this song when I first listened to it.
I was pleasantly surprised. Lzzy’s vocal abilities are outstanding and I love listening to her experimenting with different techniques. As for the music and lyrics...one word - Amazing. ❤️

This is the best band I have heard in the last 20 years. I put there music on and not 1 song I feel the need to delete or fast forward. I cant say that about any other band. I love how there music doesnt sound the same..And that they have alot of different styles in there music. These guys are by far my fave. band atm.
