    Only Jared Poland could make a comparison video like this one, Jared says the professional has more buttons on the remote. but doesn't tell you what the extra buttons are for, because he actually doesn't know what they are for, the only thing he knows is that one shoots 4k. and has sensors on the bottom, common Jared you can do better than this. you didn't tell us anything that we couldn't read off the box

      +photographerjonathan That kind of review would be three times longer and three times as boring. Jared makes short videos which give you a general idea of products without getting you bored

      I don't know about you but my time is too valuable to be wasted on someone trying to make entertainment out of nonsense. Review lacks facts and pertinent information..3 dozen better videos out there on the same subject...E for effort but he should stick to things he knows and leave this stuff to someone with background and experience. Already too much lip service on youtube regardless of subject matter.

    Good comparison as always Jared! I bought the P3Pro version.. some of the reasons that drove my selection.. the ability to grab stills from the 4k rather than shifting to the still camera function. The P3Pro has LONGER operating range with light bridge AND the P3Pro holds my iPad Mini2 perfectly for first person view. The manual exposure Value control wheel is great on the P3Pro... Stronger motors=more stability in the wind and as you've said visual/ultrasonic ground positioning sensors facing down on the P3Pro. I would not personally have been happy at all with the lower version. A couple of minutes more of operating time doesn't even begin to factor in.. that's just my opinion :) learn on the P3Pro.. very VERY easy to learn on. IF you have the money...

    By the way, I decide to go for the standard one, because the battery last longer, and both the advance and professional use 2 satellite systems, so it means more battery consumption, and add to that the sensors.

    I went with the DJI Phantom FC40 (1st generation Phantom!) before either of these existed. Did some mods myself, got a GoPro, and it gets great video. However, the new P3 Standard blows mine out of the water, and it overall costs less than what it took to build my Phantom. If you are beginning, I would reccomend the P3 Standard, and you won't need anything more. It gets professional quality HD video that is super stable and cinematographic. However, I still love my Phantom FC40 and I fly it all the time to this day. In fact, when my friend got a P3 Standard, I used my FC40 to teach him how to fly!

      +Grizzly Vision It really depends on what you're trying to film/achieve. If you don't need a really long range then I'll say go with the Standard. If you need long range but don't need 4k then go with the Advance. And if you need both 4k and long range then obviously go with the Pro!

    Hi Fro! I'm a long time subscriber and fan. Have to say that this is probably your most misinformed comparison videos that you have done. The drone for 699 was DJI's $999 drone for at least a year if not 2. So the advanced is upgraded build quality all the way around. You are also comparing 4K to 2k but where in the world is the 2k upgraded drone for $999? It is the same build and remote as the 4K. Even if you didn't have one you should have gotten a hold of one to show all 3 drones. All 3 are great choices it comes down to what a person can afford. Pros use to use the now $699 version but like all things DJI made improvements to all around on the newest offerings. Thanks and blessings.

    • @michaelmarshall4614
      @michaelmarshall4614 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I were you I would go with the Advanced model. It has the same features as the Professional but the camera shoots 2.7k instead of 4k which most likely is not that big of a deal. The standard has bad controller, it is not nearly as stable without the positioning sensors, and it doesn't cost that much more. I would not spend the extra money on the Professional unless being able to shoot in 4k is important to you.

    The Lightbridge system is another big difference between them - the standard does not support it and still relies on wifi to connect drone and remote

    • @CaliforniaPhantom
      @CaliforniaPhantom 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      might want to mention the differences in distance. phantom 3 pro does like 3 miles whereas the basic does 3/4 of one mile. that's a huge difference if your looking for fpv.

    • @GranVlog
      @GranVlog 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +California Phantom yes. Talking from experience, GPS should be turned off when flying placed where the signal is sketchy. it can result in sudden movements that you didnt tell it to do. :)

      +GranVlog quick question guys! How do you turn gps mode off? I have the standard!

    • @CaliforniaPhantom
      @CaliforniaPhantom 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MK ENTERTAINMENT switch your controller to Atti mode or attitude is what its called. A mode. DAF so its in the middle. BUT, if you lose signal to it, it will not return; its actually a bad idea to do this. You WANT GPS mode, and if GPS fails it automatically switches to ATTI mode. The only reason you would need to switch it off is if your flying indoors or somewhere where your not getting any GPS signal. If you flying and the quad starts flying erratically then hit return to home button, and if it doesn't seem to be responding to that THEN put it in Atti mode. Atti mode is a last resort of sorts.

    You said the standard would only take a smaller phone. I can put my 6s plus in the clamp , a larger phone.

      You need a smart phone, tablet, ipad, there's an app dji puts out for the phantom! With out that app you cannot fly the drone.....

    I chose the phantom standard because there isn't as much buttons on the transmitter than the DJI phantom pro

    DJI standard is $400 on eBay $500 on Amazon with an everything included bundle. In my opinion the only difference is the light bridge everything else doesn't matter. You won't be flying more than a kilometer away with your $1000 drone anyway.

    And the dji phantom 3 standard is only 400 bucks now :D

    The build quality on both drones is the same. The motors on that professional are the older style vs the newer style on the standard, which are actually more efficient. If you were to buy a new professional model today it would come with the same motors you see on the standard in this video. The standard also weighs nearly 100 grams less which is fairly significant. Good video but a bit of misinformation and guesswork.

    Heads up everyone as of 1-6-2016 DJI is having a sale for their 10th anniversary $500 for the standard and $1000 for professional.

    I thought they were made from the same plastic, Are they? I think he is being a little too hard on the standard, It's a fine drone.

  • @CostaApostolou
    @CostaApostolou 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    oh and the standard has better motors lol, they changed the advanced and Pro to the standard motors. you get 1-2mins with the new motors and the new motors don't have vibration on firmware 1.6 like the older motors.

    What is the difference between Advanced. standard and professional phantom drones?
    1) What is the maximum distance they can fly up to?
    2) What is the lifespan of their batteries?
    3) Do all of them have GPS? ( in the event of danger, will they return to its original take off point?)

    • @PolarBearBroski
      @PolarBearBroski 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Max height in us legally is 120 meters illegally it's 500. My batteries still run great no issues. And yes all return to take off point in case of emergency. I own pro and standard

      +Indrek Käsper u can't shoot raw with the pro. The maximum bitrate is 80mbps witch isn't remotely close to 4k raw. for 4k raw u need at least 1gps
