Can you do this direct over usb or do you need an interface?
I’m also curious if there is a way to talks back and forth with computer to control koala either via the computer using midi or an external hardware controller with drum pads like beat step pro for instance (to get some velocity sensitivity). So can you simultaneously record audio from koala to your DAW while controlling it with a hardware sequencer or your computer and what interface would be needed?
Sorry if this is confusing I’m kinda scatterbrained.
I don’t use ableton, I use Mixcraft atm, but considering adding serago sampler or sera to studio if I don’t go with Koala, not quite as cheap though. Haha

Hey there, so the only way I can see to send information back and fourth would possibly be using Ableton Link but as you stated you’re not an Ableton user. I haven’t experimented much with it in that respect. I work mostly with Koala and use midi controllers plugged directly into the iPad which works great. If I’m looking for more control I’d use a third party app like AUM to act more like a typical DAW but more often I just export my ideas to Ableton and build from there. You could ask on the Koala facebook group as there a lot of more technically minded people on there and they are usually pretty helpful! 👍

Aggregated devices with iPad connected by usb (enable) then you have audio/midi between mac and iPad. ;)

No drag and drop facility for exporting to loopy pro? That’s a real shame.

You can export a sequence or all sequences as wav or you can resample anything to a cell and export that.
