You have become the go to expert for learning Koala. You've shown us how to turn a simple sampler into a basic DAW.
Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say 👍
Factsss. I’ve had his videos on repeat for the last 2 weeks ☺️ thanks a million, @nervouscooks 🫧✨✨✨
7:56 for anyone watching this video now, koala can now edit multiple pads at once if you tap them while the edit button is pressed
you just made my day
Narrated version is great. Learn a lot about the specifics of the workflow. Very cool.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Best tutorial on TH-cam for anyone using Koala!! Great work!!
Thank you! 👍👍
That was me who ask for some narration in your videos and thank you so much for this video! I can really understand your workflow a lot better now. Why you do what you do! It's grrrrrreat!!!!!!! Thank you!!
You’re more than welcome Dennis, it was a good idea! Thanks for suggesting it! 👍
This is such great education on how the whole app works as well as a solid process for creation
Thank you!
Wow, you are a really good teacher. Thank you 5000
You’re more than welcome! 👍
What a masterpiece 🔥🔥
Revealing the power of koala and your koala workflow like this may change lives. You may inspire people, young and old, to make music and to enjoy the process like never before. And in doing so, perhaps allowing them to feel something inside they never really felt before in their music making process. Thank you for sharing the love.
Thank you! Very kind of you to say, I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos 👍
+1 I fall into the old(er?) category. Bought Koala and Samurai off the back of your videos and have been amazed how much I've loved making my first ever music.
Glad that i found your channel because that trick where you mix in more low or high end is nice and first time in seeing this on koala.
This video is excellent. I am going to follow along with all of your RAW beats videos as a learning exercise.
That was fantastic! Thank you very much for taking the time to explain your workflow 🙌
This was by far the best koala tutorial I’ve seen. Great work man and thank you ✌️👍
Brilliant, very helpful. Thanks.
This is so great
Really helpful! thank you!

You’re welcome 👍
Thx homie this is a lot of help
That attack trick is great, it sounded like sidechain
Very nice video. I like the format. Subbed/liked obviously.
Thank you I appreciate that! 👍👍
It helps alot. Very useful for me! Thank you.
I’m glad! 🙂
I always wondered if bouncing down my drums is hurting me but I see like minds and it reiterates that it's a commitment thing. Great narration 👏
I think the only difference like you said is commitment and I have definitely been annoyed if I’ve bounced them and realised my snare was a bit loud or similar. 😂😂
very well explained🐨👍
Thank you!
Please do more narrated versions.
Really enjoyed every bit of this video, I have a question can we just mix samples in majoy and minor and can we match the audio by using pitching method? please share your thoughts.
How do you use your 4 bar raw beats after you make them? Are you using them in a live dj set or building songs in a daw based on these koala built ideas? Or do you create them just for practice or the fun of going through the process. I’m curious what you typically do with them.

Great video, I have a question: why resample the bass line when it sounds the same with midi notes on the piano roll? Doesn't leaving it in the form of midi notes give you more capability to change it later? Thanks for the video
I only do it for the video usually to keep everything on screen and easy to follow. I want the viewers to see the audio clips in case I’m moving them around. If I were building a proper track I wouldn’t. I’d keep the flexibility of midi 👍🙂
makes sense, thanks for the reply!@@nervouscooks
Can you sample without a vinyl player?
Your spotify link is not working :(
How do you get the drum sequencer grid in koala?
I don’t know if you got your answer. If not, it’s called Samurai. Samurai is an in-app purchase for koala. It also gives you auto chop. It’s worth the couple of dollars/euros/pounds.
This is great, but what do you do if you want the the drums to have a change up? In all my years of making beats, I’ve never used only one pattern. When building songs with vocals, you gotta have a change up right? Maybe I’m just an old fart, at this point.
I would just use another pattern, I could program it in the same sequence or a different one. I could then play between the sequences or if you drag a sequence onto another one you can add to the end of that sequence. Bear in mind these videos are what I’d call sketches… they are just ideas and a quick way of putting out a video. If I were to build a full track from these there would be a lot more switch ups etc. I’m not suggesting these are finished tracks! 🙂
@nervouscooks this video was awesome. as a follow up to this question, could one make a full track in here, or would you have to send it into a different program/DAW for a final cut?
never mind... i see you have episode 18 which is on this topic... cheers mate, subbed your channel. you're awesome.
Hello! How do you detect root key of the sample to wright bass? Thanks!
There isn’t any particular tool you can use with Koala. I just use my ear and play around until it sound right. 👍
@@nervouscooks thank you!
nice, where to find Ur Sample Packs or in General for koala
I have all mine on my website www.nervousville.art 👍
@@nervouscooks thanx

@@nervouscooks alright I’m a check them out
Is that a maschine plus to your left??
No just a very old mk2! 😂
@@nervouscooks ok gotchu… thanks for the response kaola is a beast. I barely use my hardware…
@@ameeqalli4248 yeah definitely but I do like real buttons/pads too 👍
@@nervouscooks most definitely that’s why I keep them around…
I’m looking for I iPad drum machine for my kids iPads
Any recommendations please?
Cheers
Enjoyed video🤘🏻
Thanks there are a few different apps for playing the drums on the iPad but I don’t have a lot of experience with them. I’m using koala sampler here which is great because you can put any sound on to the pads but it might be a bit advanced for kids. Just search drums in the App Store and see what looks like it will suit your needs.
Your voice doesn’t suit your tattoos
I’m not sure what that means… should I sound more macho? 😂
What background pic is that to look like an mpc
It’s a skin I made. You can find them here… www.nervousville.art
Thanks fam I had to crop it correctly to get the pads right🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like your videos but my only gripe was when you said let’s get a high hat like a ride…as a drummer it just irked me lol
