OH BOY! This is still my favorite SAMPLER app. I'm 61 and you designed the most amazing tool for a seasoned percussionist who doesn't have time for menu diving.
Incredible work. It is amazing, how you add such massive updates while still maintaining minimalism of the app. Those “little” bonuses like visualization of the effects are a brilliant way to help people understand the music production patterns in general.
First off ty for this great update! I thought about a few things that would be future cool. 1. More buses 2. Tuner for tuning samples 3. Ability to save presets Thank you again.
This is not the update I expected. Holy shit dude. As always, incredible work. I have to point out too, with each update that adds a new function. It never interferes with the workflow. It’s always cleverly designed and works brilliantly

I bought this just because it seemed fun but didn't spend time much on it and now every time I see new features coming I feel like how big of an investment I made just with very little money. Awesome work.

Bought the add-on halfway through the video. This makes KS exponentially more fun and useful and is worth every cent. I think I can hear Andrew Huang sobbing softly somewhere in the distance.
Tell you what. So far I've mostly used koala for doodling, creating ideas while I'm on the bus and pre-chopping samples to be honed later on my computer and primary daw. All of this mainly because it didn't have a mixer to polish sounds, and I didn't expect it to have one either. When I saw it got one, I was excited, but 6 minutes into the video I can tell this is a game changer and has versatility far beyond what I thought it would have. Can't wait to try it and take my ideas on to the next level.
Hey I just came up with a cool idea for the performance section, I don’t know if this will reach or you like the idea but I wanted to give it a shot and share it: so basically very simply you put an extra fader on the right side which has assignable effects, (kind of like the performance knob on elektrons) so it could work for example in a way that you click it once, and it highlights and now you can choose by clicking on the other performance fader which ones you want to effect by moving this one custom fader. In this way you can easily create cool fx combinations without having to do finger acrobatics,.. oh and maybe also a dry/wet on the other side, for the effects, to be able to fade them in more smoothly.. Thanks for everything this app is really amazing :)
Proper Game Changer and the only decent sampler available for Android. I get lost in it, so intuitive. Absolute masterpiece of an app that can't help but get better and better! Huge congrats to the developer, should be proud ❤

koala is awesome, it hasn't entirely replaced my gear like my sp 404 but damn is it close. its so nice to have a sampler that's so powerful in my pocket. keep up the good work!
This is possibly the most insane update yet! Thank you so much! I do hope you'll be adding mixer fx versions of some of the perform fx. Especially the comb filter and the ring modulator. Just wow. This is so awesome!
I love the things you’ve added! Finally a simple to use unit that allows me to do so much. You simplified time stretching and now you simplified side-chaining! I purchased so many different DAW apps for iOS I didn’t enjoy using any of them. Koala sampler has made music fun again! Thank you very much. 🙏🏼

WTF??!! YO. I just got this APP and I am hooked. I made a Banger. I love all the 808 909 and Kits. The Chords are excellent. All I need to do is add my own lil samples and vocals. It's "perfect" for fiddling around during work breaks.
I'm only 5 minutes in but I had to stop the video and say AMAZING JOB. Really great enhancements contextualized in such a smart way. Can't wait to play around with the new features.
This is the update I’ve been waiting for, time to sell my sp404. Only reason I haven’t is because of the many tweakable effects. With the new mixer and effects with parameters there’s not much of a difference between the two other than skipback. This really is a game changer!
Those visuals are trippy as f... and help beginners understand what the effect does with the sound. I instantly bought the Mixer extension. Thank you guys for this amazing app. Best music production app, imo ❤🐨

Wow, I'll definitely go for this upgrade! I'm planning to use Koala mainly to resample stuff I created with analog / hardware gear. When comparing it to hardware FX, and even software FX (available mobile), this is such an insanely well-priced feature set! Thanks a lot and happy mangling & mastering everybody! If it doesn't totally collide with usability or hardware restrictions, it would be awesome being able to route the incoming audio (from an audio interface) directly into a Bus for real time effects on audio-through material. Well, maybe I'm asking for too much 😅
This is a fantastic upgrade. Can't wait for the effects that Marek has planned for this. So far you get almost everything that the sp404 mk 2 offers for 15€! That's bang for your buck!!!!!

I love Koala! Love it much more than Ableton live 12 on my macbook! I’ve put myself through hours of training for Ableton and I’m glad I figured it out but it’s boring! That’s why my new phonk / soul music is going to be created with Koala on my ipad! Thank you Elf Audio!

One wish please. I hope that midi mapping could be activated anywhere Sample Sequence and Perform pages. Also would be really nice if midi mapping could be assigned to the mixer effects. Example using Warble record deck I can create very interesting beats. So recording mixer and effect parameters to the sequencer would be really...really nice. Thank you for your work. This is the best ios app I have ever used.

You are a certified LEGEND. Amazing work! Do you have plans to create a track/composition sequencer? I think the only thing missing is automations to overdub on song recordings. And perhaps changing the red/blue color scheme but i can definitely live with that as it is. I've been having a lot of fun with the included samples and some Amen chops. Sooo much fun. Very performative and expressive! Not to mention convenient to have it all in my pocket!! Thank you for all your hard work!
Great added feature. Worth every cent. However I feel like the reverbs are improbable. The ability to use external plugins would solve this and massively extend Koala's power.
If I use the mixer with external gear for example an sp404 mk2 where do the buses land in the chain? Like would it be possible to go: Koala Channels -> external effects/SP buses -> Koala Main Channel? This would be super awsome because you then could use the main channel for mastering😁

I don't even know of any DAW delay plugin that has tap tempo, as they sync to the project tempo unless you manually change the settings! So your request seems strange. 😉

@@tonytooke76 Actually I should have said 3rd party plugin, not DAW plugin. And as I hit send I suddenly remembered my old Waves H-Delay! Haha. But Fabfilter Timeless and Valhalla both don't, so it definitely isn't "most" as you say.
Idk if he showed in this video, but if you press and hold the fx when it is in a slot , a button will appear so you can activate/deactivate it without having to actually pull up the effect.
Would be nice to be able to control the new effects with the performance effects faders, also have access to the mixer, the pattern selector and performance effects faders all at the same time on the performance screen, this would make it the ultimate performance interface for me. My favorite thing in koala is to make a pattern in the sequencer, then let it loop, switch to the performance window and play with the effects, recording that with “record song” option from the hamburger menu and then importing that audio file it back into a pad. In that way I can record and overlay changing effects (not just static effects as with the resample loop or pad options). This allows me to create segments like drums smoothly fading in or out using the LP filter without having to draw or record automation which is not possible in Koala. I think this resampling workflow is amazing, do you have any tips on how to make it smoother? I do not like the part of having to “record song” then export/import the file into a pad. There must be a better way…. Anyway thanks for the amazing app and the continuous updates. I will surely buy this upgrade as well.
That’s really cool how it’s just bussed, with 4 options, then to a master Channel. The easy drag and drop fx, parameters in the fx, the visuals, nice step in koala evolution. Really great balance of access and power, so cool. The FX look and sound so dope too. Awesome stuff. Congratulations!
I understand, what I meant was the busses were already set up for the user. So you can simply assign what track to what bus and it’s automatically connected to the master. Let’s call it partially-pre-routed, lol.

With so many dynamic effects to play with, this is going to need programmable automation, and that takes it into the big league of DAWs.

That’s really cool how it’s just bussed, with 4 options, then to a master Channel. The easy drag and drop fx, parameters in the fx, the visuals, nice step in koala evolution. Really great balance of access and power, so cool. The FX look and sound so dope too. Awesome stuff. Congratulations!
Bussing is just how we mix down in a DAW or recording studio since forever.
I understand, what I meant was the busses were already set up for the user. So you can simply assign what track to what bus and it’s automatically connected to the master. Let’s call it partially-pre-routed, lol.
