    I purchased my replacement mirror through 1A Auto and just installed it. I'm not a natural fix-it myself guy. But after watching the video, I figured I could do it. It took no more than 30 minutes. Wasn't difficult at all.
    I think what made it a bit easier is I skipped the step about removing the inner door handle and electrical connector. I was able to do this by setting the door panel on a stool so that it didn't hang by its own weight.
    1A Auto is a great resource!

    Thank you for this really helpful and informative video. My wife and I have just successfully replaced the nearside mirror on our CRV - and we're still speaking to each other!

    Thank you 1AAuto. You guys rock. Took me a bit over an hour but video was indispensable. Hardest part was getting door panel to slide back in. But by tipping panel away from door at the bottom the lip finally slid in place. Amazingly, the exact same two clips referenced in video stayed behind for me, too. I was able to release the white plastic clip from door with two small blade screwdrivers. And... thank you TH-cam, what would we do without you. Scott

    This was really helpful. I replaced my side mirror in about 25 minutes thanks to you. Dealer wanted to charge me $350 for part and $190 for 1.5 hours of labor! Mirror and tools cost less than $50! Thank you!

    This video was excellent. With trim tools and parts from 1A Auto, the cost was $75 compared to $400 from the auto body store. Directions were perfect. One note to save steps: when I removed the door trim, I set it down on a chair that was almost the same height, so I did not have to disconnect the door handle assembly from the door or the electrical connector in the lower door. All you need is access to electrical connector by the mirror. Whole process took 20-30 minutes.

    Nice, helpful video. Not sure why you'd have to remove the inner door handle assembly and main electrical connector in the door panel. At that point, can't you just lean the panel against the inside of the door while you remove/replace the mirror assembly?

    • @ronaldgartzke8658
      @ronaldgartzke8658 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. There is no need to remove the inner door handle and the main electrical connector.

    Why do you have to take the entire door panel off of you only need to detach the one mirror cable to take the mirror out?

    YOU guys are my heroes. Best "how to" video! Well filmed, well explained, carefully and slowly. It was perfect, easy to follow and I'm a girl. Only thing I would add is after plugging 1st electrical into new unit, test it just to make sure. Also, the covers with hinges don't need to be removed. You saved me a lot of money! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    What about just replacing the side mirror glass on a 2010 CRV, do you have any instructional vids for that?

    Wow. Hard to believe. We bought the mirror at an auto wreckers for $25.00, and the trim removal kit for $15. It took my brother-in-law and I right at thirty minutes to complete the job. The hardest part was repainting the mirror to match the car. Got paint at Pep boys. Thanks 1AAuto!

    Great video. I will be replacing my side view mirror in the next couple of weeks. Would you record a video on replacing a rear wiper MOTOR on the 2011 CR-V? I am needing to do that as well. Thanks!

    If my CRV Side View Mirror easily got stuck but can still move, is there a way to lubricate the "inside" of the Side View Mirror so that it can work smoothly again? Thanks!

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  ปีที่แล้ว

      +@DrWenChannel You would need to remove the mirror from the vehicle completely to be able to lubricate the inside.

    I was successful in doing this, but now my electric widow buttons no longer work on the driver's side, and I can't lock or unlock anything. I'm assuming when I popped the panel back on, something dislodged electrical wiring in the area.

      Looks like the door panel needs to be removed to hook up the power. I'm not concerned with power, so will probably just replace the mirror and adjust manually.

    Jesus...seems like a lot of steps. The video was good, but I'll probably still want to pay someone else to do it. Seems like I'll have to buy tools to do it and there are a lot of little parts that could get lost and have to be taken out and put back in the right order.
