It's really a hidden gem. I'm a very experienced rider. Nearly 1 million km. I bought it 2 years ago and I did about 37.000 Km on it. From Bavaria down to Greece and Morocco. Several times down to southern France and Croatia. No issues at all. Easy to manoeuvre. Comfortable for smaller Riders like me. I changed the handguards and I put on a Puig screen (higher temperatures down south). PS: I trust this wonderful engine. My older MT-07 has now 107.000 Km on the clock.❤
Is it easy to install bar muffs without blocking the indicators? Can the hand guards be taken off for fitting them? That's the only thing that's problematic about this bike for me..
I rode one at the ABR Festival almost against my wishes and I was blown away by how comfortable and nice and easy to ride it was. A true hidden gem indeed. 👍
I had one for 2 years, after my MT07 was nicked. Fabulous bike. Far more stable at speed than the MT. It needs to be looked after. Cover it in ACF50 and it'll be fine.
I have one and love it. As i am of a certain age (old) i came down from a GS and it’s perfect for me. Went to France in the Summer and did what i wanted it to do 0:15
698 cc and 73.41 BHP Not bad. Looks nice too. Thanks :) For some reason I cannot remember during the video I was triggered into remembering a story about a guy who got a letter from a solicitor concerning a bequest left to him by an uncle. It was a Harley Davidson. He didn't even like motorcycles much. Anyway he accepted the arrival time and put it in his garage. Sometime later he got curious about the bike, so he inspected it as best he could and found some obvious problems requiring spares, so he rang Harley with the relevant Ser and vin numbers to order the correct parts. A short while later he was contacted by Harley UK and they asked him to check the numbers, he did. Then another short time later he was contcted again, only this time it was an American accent, who asked him, yet again to check the numbers and have a look in a certain place for anything else. He did, although getting fed up ! In the other place described he found a plaque which said "This bike was presented to Jim Morrison, signed Elvis Presley, 195(?)". When he related this over the phone he could hear the cheering in the background. Harley had been looking for this particular bike for years. They invited him and his family over, with the bike, while he watched on the assembly line a bike being mad for him to own privately, with his name on a plaque, where the other one he'd seen was. They had a great time, were looked after very well and returned to England with his very own Harley ! RESULT !!! Source ? Sandy Toksvig on an LBC program, I forget when, bout 10 years ago maybe more !
Just bought a used one, but the previous model, love it,in the past had several versys 650's but this blows them away in almost all areas, minimal rider aids is a plus ! Simplicity is the key,i use a throttle lock for cruise control tho and works fine, plenty of power, handles n stops well, whats not to like and of course its Japanese so it will run almost forever.
I’ve had a 7gt for about 18 months now. I agree with your review. It’s a great bike at a good price. I ride mostly 2-up and there is ample performance. We’ve had a lot of bikes in the last 32 years, including an FJR, and this is one of the best. P.S. Your winter riding looks spot-on…👍
Wish it was available here in the USA. If it was it would have to have cruise control. The Tracer 9 GT + is nice, but I’d be upgrading from Ninja 400. Would be nice if the Tracer 7 GT next year was updated to Tracer 7GT+. I’m 64 years old and love to have a nice middle weight sport touring motorcycle.
Tracer 7 is a great bike. I did over 10k miles over an 18 month period to October just gone on mine. I enjoyed every mile even the weekly trips to the office. All weathers 100% reliable. Fitted Tec parts exhaust v loud needed 2 baffles and the sound perfect. Mich road 6 tyres fantastic. Light, agile always on the throttle stop. Fun and practical and Ideal for my 5’7’’ frame. Lights are great for night riding heated grips essential! Enjoy your time with the GT although I hate panniers to I would go non GT version if I buy again.
What a great package that bike is: Light, powerful enough for spirited riding and keeping up with your mates, good weather protection and integrated luggage. The CP2 is a legendary engine and I have no doubt the bike will handle very well. Above all, the light weight of the Tracer 7 is its main advantage; hauling around a bigger bike can detract from the ride by added fatigue. A hidden jem in the Yamaha range for sure - thanks for pointing this one out 👍
I bought a brand new, MT07(FZ07 in Canada) in 2017. What a fun bike and a fantastic engine. I’ve been looking at the Tracers but the one criticism , if it is one, is the 7 is just a little bit too light, so I’ve been looking at the 9s instead.
I currently ride a Tiger 900 but considered the Tracer 9 gt at the time but couldn't get passed the tft layout ... that said the new 900gt+ looks the nuts . Hopefully you will get one to review in the new year . Keep up the good work enjoying the channel
Big thumbs of from me on this. I’m not a fan of super aggressive bikes with angles and blobs all over. The front of this is quite discreet but still striking and aggressive. Top work. Sounds like you were enjoying yourself, too.
Thanks Kate i really enjoyed that mostly because they are roads i ride most commonly so i think your parternership will hopefully provide more rides i can relate to on a personal level, loved the bike it's really everything you need to go touring, not to big,not to heavy, enough go and very decent fuel economy, perfect.
Hi Kate, another great review. We rented a 2023 Tracer 700 in Tenerife recently, it was a great bike for us ( 2 up) and despite the roads being twisty and a little challenging it preformed well. We were tempted to get a bigger bike like a Africa Twin or a GS before we arrived but was so pleased that we didn't given how technical the roads were in places. The Tracer was perfect. Great bike and possibly could be ridden on an A1 licence so expect that will appeal to alot of folk.
Hi, I bought one Sept ‘23. Great bike. Did 2,600 in two months. It gets very dirty every time. Re quickshifter, it is wired for that (the extra wire accessory to make it work is about£150, but I didn’t bother). Very eco (over 200 miles on a tank). Brilliant reserve tank miles-meter which means you can go about 60 miles when ‘empty’ but that is nice to have even if not used. Excellent and fast, love it. SC
Onto my 2nd one, did over 4000mls just around Argyll, the islands and Perthshire(God's own).Sold the one i bought new, building a spec'd out one, Gilles risers,Fatbars, heated grips, etc, for personal preference, got the uncorked Arrows headers, can,K+N ,airbox lid mod, makes it far more responsive! Was hoping to fit the C/C from McCruise, but Suzuki have brought out that RE,and it appeals to my short legs(spent an hour on the floor at the NEC looking all over it), so i might curtail the spending on it...nice to see Yamaha copied my paint scheme, though i've black nitrided fork tubes and black wheels on the current one! Downsized for both the 900s,do not miss it,especially the weight difference...oh,fit the Kedo(Germany) offroad pegs,a must, grip and width!
Kate, have you ever considered doing a guidebook to great country roads for biking? Whenever I see your videos you're in absolutely beautiful surroundings. You could make it a big glossy coffee table book with loads of landscape photography. I bet it'd sell like hot cakes.
Hiya and thanks for reviewing the bike 😊 I bought mine in July 2022 and have managed to put 12,000 miles on it so far. I am lucky enough to live in the Highlands, so I tend to mainly use it for days out all around me. I have also taken it to the Netherlands this year to visit friends, and honestly, the only thing I miss is cruise control. I have had an issue with the headlight module, which prevented me from using the main beam. This was fixed under warranty without issue. Recently, the Yamaha heated grips have stopped working, so I need to pop back into my dealer for them to have a look for me. I'm 6'1", 21stone and fit the bike well, even managing to stand up on the pegs whilst riding to reduce the old butt/leg fatigue 😂 Cannot rate the bike, or the Yamaha dealership highly enough.
As i started with a B license (car license) on an Yamaha Tricity 300 ABS, within 2 months i wanted to go for the bike license. At the last motor show near me i had the opportunity to look at the Tracer and some other bikes and is came home with 2 options ;-) The first one was the Tracer 7 GT and the other was the BMW GS1200. Of those 2 i my heart still goes to the Tracer 7GT so that will be my next bike to get. Thanks for this review and i love that bike even before i drove it.
Hey Kate, great vid. Read a comment of a guy that has one of these, had fjr13 previously and doesn't miss the power. To me, this then sounds like a great bike. Bonus of riding slower in less than ideal conditions, is that you really get to njoy those fabulous views. 👍✌️
Since they don't offer the Tracer 7GT stateside I've elected to go for tried and true Suzuki V-Strom 650. Got the "adventure" package will all of the panniers and kit. Love that little V Twin so far. My other two bikes ARE Yamahas though (2019 XT250 & 2020 R3). That Tracer 7GT IS gorgeous though. 😎🔥
I hope you will compare the tracer 7 against the tracer 9. Many people always say bigger is better, because the engine is stronger. I choose the tracer 7, because I had more fun with it.
@@DucatiDale Ofcourse you think the Mt09sp is better Dale! I also thought it was but after I treid the tracer 9 and 7 both for a day, to my suprise I changed my opinion. I had sooo much fun with the 7. And topspeed isn't realy important in Europe, with soooo many speedlimits. And, the 7 is soo dam pretty.
@@martinrea8548 I have riden 2000 km's now and my average comsumption is 4,3l/100km. The tracer 9 wil use nearly 5,1l/100km. On one tank of fuel, both wil run about 360 km's. So not a big difference. The 9 has a slightly bigger fueltank. With the inst. fuel use on your dash, you can see that driving 140 km/h or 120 km/h wil make a big difference in fuelconsumption. The calm sound of the cp2 or the revving sound of the cp3 make me accelerate much more on the cp3. With the tracer 7 I have noticed I drive a lot more relaxed. And on the twisties I can keep up with the 9 no problem. Even when both driving 2 up. 😁👍
Wow, thank you! I never knew this bike existed 🤦🏻♂️ I was literally just about to pull the trigger on a new MT07 but I am definitely going to test ride the Tracer 7 before I do, hopefully with your new mates at Paddock in Congleton.
@@cliveomahoney4096 I’ve only done an hour or so on the motorway on one over Saddleworth on the ‘62. It was pretty windy, like it always bloody is, but I didn’t seem to notice it too much.
I'm seriously considering picking one of these up next year so this video was very well timed! As you say there isn't a lot of Tracer 7/700 content on TH-cam compared to a lot of bikes. BTW there is a quick shifter available as an optional accessory.
I am looking forward for your next video of this bike. Such a super easy video and down to earth review. Wonderful. Quality of the video could be better although. I installed heated grips from Daytona. They work perfectly and don't have an extra ugly cluster for heat selection. Just a small switch embedded in the rubber of the grip and a small light with different colors for different levels of comfy warmth. And I have the Puig screen. Works perfectly and looks way better then the ugly Yamaha touring screen. And the sh58x adjustable top box, with loads of space if you need it, even for two big helmets, and if empty, you can make it small. As far as I know, only from Shad! (I know, BMW also has that, but they are developed and produced by Shad also) I bought the 2023 model and really love the bike, although it is my 28the bike, soo lots to compare. Its is comfy, easy handling, sharp steering, good suspension, good brakes, better then the previous model, and with the Puig screen also super comfortable and without wind buffeting on higher speeds. The CP2 engine is a jewel. It "only" has 72 Hp and 67 Nm, but it feels much much stronger. I even don't miss engine power compared to my FJR1300. And that is a fast sporty tourer. I am afraid this tracer 7 is my best, most fun producing bike I ever had. I wonder what your opinion will be with more time to spend on this bike.
Hi Kate, nice looking bike for sure, I ride a Versys 650 at the moment and i am looking at more of a naked/retro style of bike for my next purchace when the new riding season starts and would like to see you try out an XSR 700 and give us your thoughts on it.
Hello Kate I had one for 2 years and thought it was ok , then swapped to the triumph 660 sport It’s got lighter steering, more horsepower, better engine braking , people complain about wind noise in bikes , but when you’ve been riding over 52 years you get used to it 😊🤣🤣🤪. Ps Big Happy Christmas to you all 🎄🎂🌲🎅⛄️❄️
Hi Tony. So you swapped from a tracer 7 to the 660 sport and prefer the Triumph? I'd be interested in how you found the two in terms of torque and mid range, as the 660 is also on my short list. Based on reviews, the triumph needs to be wound up a bit more, which would suit certain riders, but there's no substitute for an opinion from someone who's actually owned the bikes in question
Well that's a feather in ya cap..., getting in with what seems to be a 1st, with a 7GT ride review. Not a bad looker..., the bike I mean (but you're OK yourself, may I add). That landscape and those roads must be chockerblock with riders, motorhomers and tourists of all sorts, in Summer. What a place to have near your home region! Normally I would never look at a Yamaha, but i'm interested to see and hear what your thoughts are on this one, when it's time to give it back. Will it be a "wanna keep it" Bike?
I had one but not the GT. They are very nice and smooth to drive. Drove it to the Alps but really missed the cruise control. If they put that on I would consider buying one again.
We've heard of it....but we don't get it over here in N America. You guys are LUCKY! Yamaha don't seem to think that the N American market is ready for a mid range, sub 100hp sport tourer....meanwhile, Suzuki is selling all the VStrom 800s they can & Kawasaki keeps knocking out Versys 650LTs all day long. It really defies all logic that they should ignore this sector of the market, they sell the R7/XSR7/MT07 alongside the CP3 & CP4 bikes, so why no Tracer 7? If I had the chance I'd import one myself, but its too difficult to get it legally registered.
Lovely bike and looks as though it could be a seriously good one too and really looking forward to the follow-ups. Where was the drone intro footage shot?
Straight up the MT10, Ive own the Triump Speed triple RS 1050 for 2 years and the hard ride is doing my nut in now, I would like to know if the MT10 is plush or not. Cheers in advance. And have a Merry Xmass
This ticks all of the boxes for me, apart from the lack of traction control. I know a lot of people think that it doesn't have enough power to need it, but from my point of view is that it's a safety feature, and in this day and age switchable traction contol should be fitted as standard to all bikes. If they released a 7 GT with traction I would be down the dealers on the next free monday.
I think on a bike with this sort of power output, traction control isn't a necessity. Great tyres and half-decent suspension helps. I think switchable TC is a feature on the latest Tenere so it might cross over on to the Tracer in due course.
@@billyb6043 that's what I'm thinking it will get TC on the next model revision. I found even on a 125 I could get myself into a fair bit of trouble losing traction.. when the road surface is inconsistent good tyres will still fail you. And a lot of bikes don't have very good suspension. It's where most of the manufacturers make the cuts to keep the price.
Considered one last year, but the one available at that time, seemed a bit dated. Now there’s been an update? This looked fresh and nice. Black with gold wheels are always a winner.
Just purchased one 2024 model due to pick up early January I am 5ft 9 with 32inch inside seam is the seat height OK for me. Great review well done. Regards Des
I passed my mod 2 at the start of November. I rode a Tracer 7 and 9 back to back and the 9 just fit me better and I liked the power delivery from the motor more. The suspenesion on the Tracer 9 was also more sophisticated over the bumps than the 7 which felt crashy to me. I would have been more than happy with a Tracer 9 but in the end I got a Triump Tiger 900 GT Pro because that was in the mix to and I got a cracking deal on one. I'm not a fan of the dash on the old Tracer 9 but the new ones have a proper TFT. I'm very happy with my Triumph but the Yamaha offerings were a serious contendor.
I've got the Tracer 9 GT 2021. Had the MT-09 Tracer 2016 which was amazing but the new ones to me are shockingly bad for suspension and badly made parts. My left indicator broke off weeks after buying it going over a bad pothole. Literally a tiny bit of plastic holds them in place....Yamaha Wigan refused to replace it. I won't be buying one ever again.
Hey Kate! So glad you've got this bike for an extended test. I'm in the market for a new(er) bike (maybe even an unthrashed ex-demo from Paddock 😉) to replace my CB 500 X. To be fair, it's been an excellent, faultless bike but I want something with a little more pep, with a view to doing some pootle touring in Europe next year. The CB could do it no problem but there's pootling and there's pootling...would really like your thoughts on the suspension (for typically shite UK B roads) and if you get the chance, the handling when loaded? Wind protection is subjective, but rumour has it, it's not that great even with the bigger screen, but the same can be said for most 'upright' sports tourers/adv bikes in this price range. CP2 engine should be plenty for me. would also appreciate your thoughts compared to the new Transalp. you didn't seem that enthusiastic when you test rode that, but maybe your were just a bit grumpy😟
Hooray you saw the light... I've got a tracer 700, factory lowered I'm 5'3" and 10 st, easy to manoeuvre in the garage and parking, cos yeah people seem to like to watch us ladies struggle. Great economy, fast enough for the roads, and great thrill factor... I'd like a better screen though... And my luggage cost £700 shad, so the gt is reasonably priced I'd say... Fab choice, 🎉 merry Christmas everyone ❤❤
I had the older version of this bike and it is pretty good, except for the screen buffering, had to sell it in the end. I’d get a nearly new MT07 and spec it out yourself.
More potholes in that road than the caves in the Brecon Beacons 😮 , nice looking bike not into two cylinder bikes , lots not on the bike that most of us need for touring. Soon jump up + £ 2000 to put the extra bits on , not so cheap anymore by adding the upgrades , Good review for those considering this size bike .
Never ridden one. But from just the looks of it, I can see that it is a beautiful bike. Any tall riders out there ...Would this bike feel comfortable for a 6ft3 man ?
Fantastic hidden package, light, frugal, comfortable and real world road performance but too me it looks cheap and a little garage built but given that! I would buy one to replace my oversized BMW.
Hi Kate, How did you get on with the screen as it's a taller one, and I know you've said previously you don't like a screen in your eye line. IMO it's a great bike.
Hi Kate. Great news because both my bikes are Yamaha. Quick question is the screen adjustable and is it shaft driven?? Both my bikes are old because I don’t have much money but I’m thinking next year I might see what I can get if I trade them in for one new bike. Keep safe. 🤗🤗🤗
My hubby and I travel long distance on our MT07s in Australia. Thanks for the video! You're right there's no info about this bike and being touring riders on the 07s this was exactly what we are looking for. Being used to touring on a naked bike, I cant help but wonder if the Windscreen is a hindrance as opposed to a positive? Are windscreens great? And we have Nemunu bags on the back of ours which is like a pillion passenger with no upper body, it's the most wonderful moto luggage and wonderful company we highly recommend for riders who love a trip!! Great video. Love our Yamaha's. ❤
Me and my cousin both had 2019 MT 07s, and this summer both traded for Tracers, me for a Tracer 7, and my cousin for Tracer 9. I did test ride both models, and Tracer 9 had some issues, that for me were deal brakers... Tracer 7 is much more confortable, the driver seat in Tracer 9 is horrible, wind protection in Tracer 9 is also bad and there are no aftermarket options to solve that issue. Tracer 9 is a sport bike disguised as a Touring bike. Tracer 7 wind protection is also poor but i solve the problem with PUIG wind deflector. Tracer 7 tyres equips with Road 6, and i feel no confidence at all with those tyres, everybody says wonders about them and they have poor grip, great milage, poor grip. I used to ride T32, and let me tell you, grip is from another planet compared to Road 6. About the Tracer 7, just loving it everyday, she just puts a smile on my face everytime i ride it.
Also the new Fantic Caballero 700 users the Yamaha CP2 engine as well . A fantastic engine. In Australia we don’t put salt on the roads “ properly because it never 👎 gets cold 🥶 enough 😂😂, but we’re I live winter temps are around 3-15 average ( a few -1 or 2 but that’s about as cooled as it gets , spring / Autumn is around 10-25 and summer 🌺 15-32 most days but do get around 10 between January/February in high 30,s up to mid 40,s.
there are a few areas covered in the video, one is an area known as Rivington, on the moors near Bolton, Lancashire, there's a bit of Cheshire and around the Peak District, in Derbyshire. It's not all Dark Satanic Mills up t'North 😉
I have a 23 plate 7 GT. I went for the heated grips also which are pretty good. I came from a 22 plate CF Moto 650MT (which I loved) but the tracer is much smaller and lighter and easier to man-handle into my garage. Someone mentioned a sore "arris" . My comfort seat suits me perfectly, done a four hour ride and no numbness at all. If only it had cruise control. CF moto can knock out their 700 adventure with it as standard so Yamaha should be able to get it added without bumping the price. I think a lot of bikes in this category lack cruise control, seems mad.
the physical size and weight of a bike makes a massive difference to ease of ownership, especially when you're no longer a testosterone-filled youth! Reviews concentrate on power, handling and gadgets but rarely consider what a bike's actually like to push around, park up, put on the stand. Some of the Chinese bikes are giving the usual suspects a run for their money but how they bear up after a few years is still a concern for me (rightly or wrongly).
This is a bike I'd be interested in if we had it in the US. We now have the higher price 9GT+, but I want something a little more approachable in price. There are options like the Versys 650, but it would be nice to have a few options.
Nice one, ive been waiting for a decent uk review for this bike. Currently riding a 2018 xsr900 but may trade it in for one of these so its more comfortable when riding further afield. Also got the r7 as my fun bike which i love so i know the engine is spot on for me 👍🏍️
Very nice bike. Coming from fully faired XJ6 pity Tracer lineup does not have such option. Naked bottom is pain in arse to keep clean when commuting daily. Might as well get MT 07 or 09...
Yeah, this bike was sounding ideal! I was like; how am I not familiar with this model. Oh, of course this looks like exactly what I want, it's not in the US damnit!
Great bike.....sadly it is not available in Canada as Yamaha probably deems it too small and underpowered for our highways but I do not agree and believe that they are costing themselves sales here.
The Tracer 7 would make a great alternative to the Kawasaki 650 Verses and Suzuki 650 V-Strom, but for some unknown reason Yamaha doesn’t import them into the US 🤨!
Only saw one of those the other day in the dealer didn't know it was a thing. Saw the v strom 650 next too the 800de. Both in yellow. The 650 looked. Awfull big bulb headlight and dash with old looking lcd and massive needle for the rpm

Great bike and possibly could be ridden on an A1 licence so expect that will appeal to alot of folk.
I think you mean a A2 but it's correct as it's under 95hp
The original Africa twin 1000 could be made A2
@chrishart8548 you are quite right mate, A1 😀
Congrats on the new collaboration with Paddock . Every once in a while let's see your GS , may be in shorts.
She'll be out to play a lot more once the salt goes 😊
The vlogs are coming thick an fast ✌️🏍 cheers
First time seeing one 🏍
Liked blue colour!
Great work,nice review
Great review Kate, beautiful scenery 👌 make sure you get that visor down when the gritting lorry 🚚 comes into view, bloody eyesore.
SC
Great vid again Kate. It is a great looking bike. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations on the new partnership, love your videos!!
Great job Kate great looking bike for sure keep those vids coming
Forget the Bike, You're the 'Hidden Gem' Kate!
Kate, have you ever considered doing a guidebook to great country roads for biking? Whenever I see your videos you're in absolutely beautiful surroundings. You could make it a big glossy coffee table book with loads of landscape photography. I bet it'd sell like hot cakes.
hidden?where is hidden?one of the top sales at europe
I think it looks better than the 9GT, it’s the front end…great vfm bike too. Lovely part of the world, rode some of those on a mini tour last year…
I had a tracer 7 (non gt) and really liked it. Now have the 9gt
Yep, just another Aussie in Bali Indonesia watching another great vlog from UsernameKate 👍
Seriously got me considering getting one for my winter commute
Nice review and bike Kate.
Hiya and thanks for reviewing the bike 😊
I bought mine in July 2022 and have managed to put 12,000 miles on it so far.
I'm 6'1", 21stone and fit the bike well, even managing to stand up on the pegs whilst riding to reduce the old butt/leg fatigue 😂
Cannot rate the bike, or the Yamaha dealership highly enough.
UK has very nice scenery for a motorcycle. Good job. Greetings from Poland.

Video idea noted 🤓 ✍️
Cp3 is miles better there’s no contest
@@DucatiDale Ofcourse you think the Mt09sp is better Dale! I also thought it was but after I treid the tracer 9 and 7 both for a day, to my suprise I changed my opinion. I had sooo much fun with the 7. And topspeed isn't realy important in Europe, with soooo many speedlimits.
And, the 7 is soo dam pretty.
@@BBFazerwhat's the difference in fuel consumption? That would be an important factor to me.
The MT07 is a nightmare at motorway speeds in crosswinds
@@cliveomahoney4096 I’ve only done an hour or so on the motorway on one over Saddleworth on the ‘62. It was pretty windy, like it always bloody is, but I didn’t seem to notice it too much.
A hidden gem? Must be that unheard of tag it wears :) Seriously though - at 196kg we do have a little smile as we overtake the GS slugs :)
Great vid Kate, love the MT07 engine so this must be a no brainer for cheap touring!
I'm seriously considering picking one of these up next year so this video was very well timed! As you say there isn't a lot of Tracer 7/700 content on TH-cam compared to a lot of bikes.
BTW there is a quick shifter available as an optional accessory.
Excellent news!! And I know! I was a bit perplexed when I checked youtube!
Like the idea of teaming up with a local small business.
Love your Vids!!❤
(I know, BMW also has that, but they are developed and produced by Shad also)
I bought the 2023 model and really love the bike, although it is my 28the bike, soo lots to compare.
Can you post a link to the screen that you bought by any chance? I have the 2023 model and would be interested in a different screen.
@@uncaring77 just look for tracer 7 Puig screen in your country.
Hi Kate, nice looking bike for sure, I ride a Versys 650 at the moment and i am looking at more of a naked/retro style of bike for my next purchace when the new riding season starts and would like to see you try out an XSR 700 and give us your thoughts on it.
6.2 liter is natural except when equipped with the factory ordered, dealer installed Banks Turbo kits. I think they were a GMC specific kit initially.
@@billyb6043 I believe the triumph has better mid range torque being a triple + engine braking 😊👍
I agree. Yamaha is really missing a tremendous number of sales by not brining this bike to the US market. I would purchase one immediately.
Lovely bike and looks as though it could be a seriously good one too and really looking forward to the follow-ups. Where was the drone intro footage shot?
Drone footage was shot locally to me in Rivington near Horwich :)
We need that bike here in Canada, Would be sweet if they also did a MT07SP
Straight up the MT10, Ive own the Triump Speed triple RS 1050 for 2 years and the hard ride is doing my nut in now, I would like to know if the MT10 is plush or not. Cheers in advance. And have a Merry Xmass
UNK
The Tracer is a stunning bike! For the price it has everything you need in a sports tourer.
Great video Lady!
Yep you know that yamah revs your heart ❤️ 😊
This ticks all of the boxes for me, apart from the lack of traction control. I know a lot of people think that it doesn't have enough power to need it, but from my point of view is that it's a safety feature, and in this day and age switchable traction contol should be fitted as standard to all bikes. If they released a 7 GT with traction I would be down the dealers on the next free monday.
Has the new version of the T7 got traction control now ? I think it has. Also has a TFT now not the bouncing calculator the first T7 had
@@chrishart8548 I think it has...the new 'explorer' is seriously tempting but it's still a tall bike even with the suspension changes...
Regards Des
It will absolutely be fine for you :)
Sorry to hear that. Also makes me happy though i went with triumph. @@GARdotETH
I really like this one! A well-rounded motorcycle.
Literally did not know this model existed!!!
I had the older version of this bike and it is pretty good, except for the screen buffering, had to sell it in the end. I’d get a nearly new MT07 and spec it out yourself.
Looks like a lovely bike. Sounds nice too!
It’s not hidden now is it? It’s just a gem, I have owned one and it’s a fantastic bike.
I'm from New York, so, I have not heard of this bike. I have FJR now, but thinking of CFMoto ibex800. Not labeled sport tourer, but bags & tech.
More potholes in that road than the caves in the Brecon Beacons 😮 , nice looking bike not into two cylinder bikes , lots not on the bike that most of us need for touring. Soon jump up + £ 2000 to put the extra bits on , not so cheap anymore by adding the upgrades ,
Good review for those considering this size bike .
Never ridden one. But from just the looks of it, I can see that it is a beautiful bike. Any tall riders out there ...Would this bike feel comfortable for a 6ft3 man ?
If you put an additional windscreen it's fine. Wish seat would be higher and it had cruise control. Other than that it's a perfect bike.
Would Love to see the pw 50 review
Fantastic hidden package, light, frugal, comfortable and real world road performance but too me it looks cheap and a little garage built but given that! I would buy one to replace my oversized BMW.
Hi Kate, How did you get on with the screen as it's a taller one, and I know you've said previously you don't like a screen in your eye line. IMO it's a great bike.
Definitely a interesting bike⁹🐈
Hi Kate.
Great news because both my bikes are Yamaha. Quick question is the screen adjustable and is it shaft driven??
Both my bikes are old because I don’t have much money but I’m thinking next year I might see what I can get if I trade them in for one new bike. Keep safe. 🤗🤗🤗
Chain driven and adjustable screen 😊
the 900 version is maybe the most beautiful bike ever created.for me!!!
I ORDERED ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 35kw a2 version
Those roads look the bizz
there are a few areas covered in the video, one is an area known as Rivington, on the moors near Bolton, Lancashire, there's a bit of Cheshire and around the Peak District, in Derbyshire.

The Kawasaki 650 engine is hideous proper buzzy little thing
Lovely bike I currently have one but also can’t help thinking the versy 650 gt looks comfier and better for touring 🤔
The Tracer 7 would make a great alternative to the Kawasaki 650 Verses and Suzuki 650 V-Strom, but for some unknown reason Yamaha doesn’t import them into the US 🤨!
ver-sys , versatile system .
that ride does look good
it really surprised me
Only saw one of those the other day in the dealer didn't know it was a thing. Saw the v strom 650 next too the 800de. Both in yellow. The 650 looked. Awfull big bulb headlight and dash with old looking lcd and massive needle for the rpm
