This genre of music might not be for everyone, but from a music standpoint, you have to love and respect SRV and DT. They brought it every song at every show. The GOAT on guitar and his band of epic musicians. I'm with you, I'd give anything to go back and see one of their live shows!
This is Rockabilly. Blues, rock, jazz fusion, progressive rock, country.... SRV could play it all like a specialist, and by ear. That's why he is THE.GOAT.
I was not at this concert but I had the privilege of seeing SRV AND the great B B King play together at the Greek Theatre in LA. At least a third of the crowd was music and entertainment industry types who usually look bored but not at that show. Even the jaded were tapping feet to the beat. I'm not ashamed at all to admit I shed a few tears when SRV's chopper went down in a heavy rainstorm after a show. RIP, Stevie, you are STILL entertaining even if Heaven now has you live.
I was at this concert and to me one of his best Listen to the song at this concert Ain’t Gonna Give Up On Love It’s one of best all time performances of this song This whole concert was fire I don’t think anyone sat down the whole time When you get a standing ovation for the whole concert You know he was kicking but
The best, relentless and never got stuck! He had the endurance of 3-5 guitar players. As hard and fast as he played, he was precise!!! I wish he were still here!! He died so young! Thankful we have the videos to remind us of how great he was and is through his recordings.
👏🙌💯‼️ great reaction! Circle back to Stevie always🎸🎶‼️ you have lots of mind left to blow💥.Thanks for this. I love when he takes his hat off, plays behind his neck and dances a mean jig💙
BLUES. It was a dying art form and SRV single handedly revived it. I am VERY fortunate to have seen SRV TWICE before he left us way too soon. The first time was outside of Cleveland Ohio where he opened for Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin and the second time was a Halloween night in Columbus Ohio where he and Jeff Beck shared top billing. You should check out some of his older brother Jimmie Vaughan’s stuff also. His is a bit more of a traditional blues but still really great all the same. Jimmie was with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and now has his own band. I actually got to meet Jimmie once!
yeah without doubt one of many inspirations of my youth...Jeff Healey blew my mind the first time seeing him play. Jeff and Stevie did a jam together...'Look at little sister'..check it out - cheers
Never ever with out a doubt am I EVER DISAPPOINTED!!! THIS MAN WAS THE BEST AT ANYTHING HE DID!!! GEEEZZZZ!!! PLEASE CHECK OUT MORE I DON'T CARE WHAT IT IS AS LONG AS ITS LIVE!!!
The world first heard SRV in 1983 when his first album Texas Flood was released. I was living in Chicago where the local rock stations had him in regular rotation. The songs Pride and Joy and Love Struck Baby were the singles people first heard of Stevie. Two classic rockers written by Stevie.
The genre is.kick ass Stevie Ray...don't remember ever discussing this with friends...I grew up with the Beatles and British Invasion, Motown then added all the Woodstock psychedelic stuff...it was just music!
"What genre does this fall under?" This is what you call rock and roll. Like, the original. The chuck berry blues inspired rock and roll. Rock and roll is basically blues but faster and played straight instead of as a shuffle. There you go
Check out Stevie Ray 3rd Stone from the Sun live at the Festival. Then ya'll will see what he can really do with the guitar.❤❤❤❤ Warnin' Mind Blower Alert. Ya'll been Warned. ❤❤❤❤
Did anyone notice the head and tuning keys of SRV's guitar is upside down? The tuning keys on a Fender Strat should point up. Does anyone know why Stevie's is different?
Jimi Hendrix was left handed and played a right handed guitar flipped over left handed resulting in the tuning pegs being upside down. Since then it’s been a thing on right handed guitars. You can buy right handed necks with the headstock upside down.

I feel sorry for this generation today. I was in my twenties back in the 1980s when Stevie Ray Vaughan hit the scene. And all the other great bands. You will never see Talent like this again. This woke cultural liberal generation today does not accept this type of music. All they want to listen to is rap and auto-tune music which is nothing but one-dimensional untalented garbage. Sorry that's just the way I feel about it

This is Texas Blues
Falls on their greatness
Nex...Riviera Paradise then the long live version of Look at Little Sister with another GOAT, Jeff Healey 🔥
The Love Struck Baby genre is classic '50s rock and roll, with visions of the '50s Jerry Lee Lewis or Fats Domino on piano
Absolutely fabulous. Do

I’d put Stevie under “rock blues”
@@s550danny stevie falls under straight up blues in most of his songs. Love Struck Baby in particular is a traditional rock and roll
