Here is a tip some may wish to try. My mother and grandmother put mashed/riced potatoes into the dough. This made the dough soft and fluffy, while keeping it fresher longer. I don’t know how this came about, but it works.
They just came out of the oven and are THE BEST I ever had. Thanks for the tipp “the stickier the dough, the softer the bread”. The dough was so sticky, but they came out soooo fluffy! Thanks a lot!
Man! I have to tell you. I tried this recipe today and they came out perfect! The only change that I made was adding a couple of capfuls of pure Lemon Extract to the icing to take the edge off sweetness. More importantly, my wife loves these rolls. Thanks for sharing this . 🙏

I am a huge fan of cinnamon rolls in the morning! I’m a single man so making an entire batch of 12 is a little bit of overkill on most occasions for me. I do love that my favorite cinnamon rolls at the store come in a tube of four with two kinds of Topping, one that is a cinnamon drizzle situation over the top before baking, and the second, which is the typical glaze. This makes awesome rolls. But you have made rolls from scratch look fairly easy, and I always prefer scratch made, so I have a question for you. Is it possible to do some of the preparation the day before? In my ideal world, I would get them all the way to the point of being sliced and in the baking dish the day before and refrigerate overnight, then do the final rise in the morning, perhaps with a little bit more time since they were refrigerated, and then bake. Would that work? Can I split up the time so that I don’t have to get up at 4 o’clock in the morning to have cinnamon rolls by 10? I would be lucky to wake up at 8:30. Enjoyed the video though, and I am confident I could follow your method to make rolls successfully. Maybe I could have them done in time for brunch. Lol another thing, to reduce the size of my batch, is it possible to get it to a point and freeze it in smaller portions so that when I do want a cinnamon roll I can take that out and not make 12, but only make four maybe?

If that happens, just continue to wait until it doubles in size. Average length of time for dough to double in size is typically about one hour.
