- It was an intense couple of days of traveling from Hua Hin on the peninsula of Thailand south to a little known island, but it was definitely worth it.

Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
I’m SUPER excited to see where 2024 takes this amazing travel channel, but above all, I would LOVE to see this channel hit ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS in 2024!!!! Let the adventures begin!!!
About the shoes, attach a carabiner to your backpack, tie the shoes together by the laces with the same knot you use to tie your laces when they’re on your feet and then put the lace inside the carabiner. Don’t fit in the bag, but now they’re attached to it and they won’t fall off 👍🏼
agree 100%, gabriel deserves a lot more subs and exposure, the only travel channel we're subscribed to 🤙🏻
One of the things that i appreciate the most about your videos is your ability to persevere and film even during those difficult travel days. It takes a lot of resilience to film when you're in the midst of a long, mind numbing series of tuktuks, taxis, ferries, etc. Rock on! 🤙
These are rubber trees. The bark is tapped to collect the latex in the coconut shell. Latex then goes to factory to process to make rubber
Fruit salads with multi-colored pitahaya are very refreshing,well-flavored and pleasing to the eye. That is why I liked photographing food, salads, desserts and coctails when I travelled abroad.Good taste,Gabriel,Thai cuisine does not dissapoint😊
Gabriel looks so happy! He is really in his element on islands
Legend ☀️
Beautiful beach can't believe it's so peaceful and serene ❤ greetings from South Africa
Epic journey but well worth it standing on that beach, perfect. Have a great trip in the South. Cheers, STL
Oh yeah, totally worth it. 😎🍺
I have never been to the islands in that area, I really want to go there. This shows what a bit of extra effort can give you in terms of less crowds and amazing paradise. It is high season! Amazing!
The trees are being “tapped.” Happy New Year to you! 🎉
This is the reason why off-the-beaten path places are 100% worth it. Heard rumors of beaches so secluded, the only footprints are from rogue hermit crabs and that guy who lost his flip-flop last monsoon. Kidding aside, I've been in Thailand quite a few times and have filmed one of our TV show episode and this is same exact reason why I want to go back!
Amazing part of the world
The covered motorcycles are known as a 'Salang'. Quite common in rural areas throughout Thailand for carting goods about. Some areas they are used as taxis. I've caught one in Lanta before. Happy travels 2024 👍🙏
I was looking for a comment explaining them. Thank you 🙏
Nice video Gabe. Happy new year to you, let's see you hit that million!🙌
I feel I’m with you while watching. Here in Rochester NY it’s snowing. You’re warming me up 😊
Yay! I should be working but I will take a moment to watch LOL Hope you're enjoying your time as always!
Happy New year Bro 😎 here’s to a new year of amazing travels and new countries to explore. stay safe Gabrial! ✌🏻peace out, brother.
I'd really like to see you do more of Australia. I feel you missed so much due to weather and time.
I knew immediately by the look of the trees behind the beach you were on the Andaman coast. The beaches on the ilsnads in the gulf of Thailand doesnt look like that 🙂
Hua Hin was the first place I took a dip in tropical waters in my life, in 1991.
Cool. 👍
that's crazy. I was born in the tropics and have lived in them my whole life
@@GabrielTravelerVideosside comment 🙂, where were you when you were by the water and walked to a dead end of the shore and it was a cave house.you tried but the gate was locked and you were right off the ocean but walked to that dead in spot. Yeah .. What country or location was that.? I've been thinking about it for months and can't find the Vid 😢 omg Italy 🤔... Orrr omg
The vegetable dish of eggs and greens is Khai Liang (a southern staple) Melinjo leaves with egg and lots of garlic. Love it too.
Another great video Gabe
Cool, thanks.
Another Awesome Adventure Gabriel🙂👍
Beautiful So Green! Thanks Gabriel!
The trees produce a milky sap, called latex, which is harvested and processed into rubber.
Happy New Year, Gabriel! Thank you for sharing your amazing travels & adventures in 2023! Excited to see where you’ll take us this year!
Happy New Year Gabriel and everyone!
Happy/Healthy/Peaceful New Year! Looking forward to seeing your upcoming 2024 travel videos from wherever you go!
A wonderful video! Thank you! I have enjoyed it!
Have a great new year Gab, and thanks for all the great vlogging. Amazing stuff as always.
Larb is a refreshing Thai salad, usually made with ground meat (typically ground chicken, beef, lamb or pork), lots of fresh herbs
And it is usually SPICY.
Yes, Gabriel, those are rubber trees, they're collecting the latex sap. 👍
Larb is a Laotian dish with minced meat and lettuce. It is delicious!
Good to know, I'll have to give it a try.
Happy New Year and thanks for the journeys.
Happy new years Gabe!🎉

Happy New Year Gabe...what a wonderful way to begin it ! 👌🙏
Great videos always. That walking street scene must be a test of endurance. No doubt quickly outta there.
Koh Payam is my favorite island. We stayed there 15 days in april 2019 at Sabai Sabai at the other side of the island nearby the harbor. Good to see it back. Enjoy your stay.

That was great fun. Gabriel never ages, always rock and rolling with his young adventurous spirit. What a time he has had.🌝🌏🍺Myself also getting to tag along.
Thanks for showing us that Thailand has that side to it. Have been a few times but only to the mainland.
All the best for 2024! Nicely done..
@6:57 // Cheers // Happy New Year
Thanks, I appreciate it. ✌️
Cheers Gabriel 🎉🎆
Hello Gabriel. Great video. I’ve seen those ladders in hotels to be used to hang towels or clothes.
Gabriel back in SE Asia, cracking stuff. Look forward to going back 👌
Koh Phi Phi really was a dream Island 35+ Years ago, no concrete, no mass tourism, no ATM, no Selfies :)
I wish you great travel experiences in 2024
Great place to start your 2024 adventure. The Island looks beautiful and peaceful with a great looking beach and lots of nature. Have fun. Cheers 🍺🍹😎
Hello Gabriel this brings me back to 2018 when I spent a week on koh Phayam. It was the first Island I went to in Thailand, I got the slow boat out from a different pier, it took 2 beautiful hours stopping on Koh Chang Noi to let someone off. Enjoy your time there. I remember a place called Hippie Bar on another beach, I think called Ao Khao Kwai, the Bar was made from driftwood. Happy Happy days.
Wonderful island Koh Phayam ,went there in 2004 ,haven’t been back since twenty years is too long.Must get back and see it again.
Hi from Arizona 8:30 AM 44 degrees
Hope Gabriel gets a chance to go through Cambodia and Laos this time.
Yay. Gabys back and not lost in Pattyya
The motorcycle cart taxis are usually used by street vendors in the Bangkok area rather than public transport. We have plenty of Songthaew (literally two rows) trucks with 4 wheels, Tuk-Tuk or Samlor(literally 3 wheels). In addition to buses, etc etc. The moto carts usually are vendors sellling fried meats, or fruit or whatever ..mobile restaurants.
Hello, nice video about Ko Phayam...
Beautiful 🏝😁👍
11:05 Cheers, MATE!!! Here's to a kick ass 2024!!!!
Yeah that was rubber planation @ 36:55
Sawadee Kaa! Hensum Maaan!
Wow amazing iland Gabriel never been South of Hua Hin Thailand. 👍 😊
Looking forward to you reuniting with Viktor I’m Sweden for some handstand demonstrations.
Thailand feels like an continuos party
How beautiful was that from A-Z (z) the ending was ❤️
That beach is where I would love to be in January
It would be so cool if you went to that secret island where they filmed the Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio.
I've been there: th-cam.com/video/RAqtGhiKe0g/w-d-xo.html
Those bamboo ladders in your bungalow are trendy, here in Europe. They're used to hang towels/clothes etc - maybe shoes even (?!).
Yess !!!
I've been to Koh Phayam three times. One of my favorite places in the world.
It's super sweet.
I agree with the shoes. I live in flips flops in Arizona
I hope you’ll try some larb while in Thailand! There are some great spots here in Los Angeles, but nothing beats what we had throughout Thailand!
Now that is my kind of vacation..Few people on the beach and I bet authentic island Thai cuisine😊 😊😊. 😊
Great to see you back in Thailand 🇹🇭 again. Thailand is one of my favourites and I went to Vietnam 🇻🇳 for the first time last year and I loved it. Vietnam has great coffee and food and it’s so cheap and even cheaper than Thailand 🇹🇭
Vietnam is great as well, looking forward to going back sometime.
15 years ago I was doing the same in Thailand. I would stay for months if I could. Sawadeekrub
Why don't you try one of those holsters to clip the shoes to your bag?
Like in "The Beach"?
When I was there last in 2014 I had a bamboo bungalow on the beach, with bathroom, for around $15 CAD per night. It was like 50 meters from the water. You are paying crazy prices!
Yeah unfortunately I think prices have gone up a lot. Also I booked online in advance. Maybe you can still find dirt cheap prices if you show up and find the cheap places that aren't available online. But in general prices have definitely increased in the past 5-10 years.
Ahh, inflation. The good ol days are long gone.
very nice island
Please visit Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon.. I loved my trip in 2019
2024 🎉🎉, 1st Video, Boom🎉🎉
Subconsciously you are trying your best to get rid of your shoes.
Sooner or later we will be in for another wet socks adventure.
