Thank you so much 😊 I’m getting the DDL8700 for Christmas 🎄 this year. My husband thinks I’m mad 😠 but I already have a Juki machine for home decor , and it’s brilliant. I really want a more robust machine, for heavier fabrics.
I have the DDL 8700 and I'm very happy with the way it sews. It's important to have an industrial lockstitch machine; it sews almost any fabric - and fast! There are so many attachments for it also. The Servo motor makes no noise at all; you only hear the sound of the machine when you step on the pedal. I hope by now you got your industrial Juki and have found it a pleasure to sew with.
@@charmingd.6725 I bought it in a shop in NYC's garment district. The shop owner is not a person I would like to do business with again, though. The table that came with the Juki ddl 8700 looked perfect upon arrival but the smooth surface started to crack from one spot in multiple directions in just a couple of weeks after delivery. The owner had no solution for that "because it was made in China and couldn't be sent back". Another thing, he didn't follow-up on another order I gave him regarding a special foot for my Bernina. That's why I dropped him; he didn't get back to me after repeated attempts to find out about the specialty foot. I also bought a Juki serger MO 654DE from him that I like very much. I hope that you will like your Juki ddl8700; it's a good machine. Mine has a servo motor; I love how quiet it is when it's turned on - you can't hear it at all until you put your foot to the pedal! I worked in the garment industry and the sound of the industrial machine running, even though idle, can be a nuisance, especially at home, so I recommend a servo motor.
@@charmingd.6725 if you use Google, you can find them at stores online. I got mine from a California online store. They sell the 8700, plus the one I got which is the 8700-7, which has more features. I also own a Janome M7 which outset’s everything. You’ve got to go look at that. Prices range from $5k to $8k. Try to buy during quilt shows for the lowest price.

We have a Juki 8700-7 With an SC 500 motor and cp 170. My wife broke a needle off and jammed the bobbin. Do you have a video on setting the cutter timing and thread length? THANKS in advance. Tom
Brilliant tutorial! Thank you so much. I’ve had mine for two years now and it’s been perfect. My little one touched something recently and the machine started to sew backwards. Please how do I fix this?🙏
I just got the 8700 and really love it but everything is very stiff. The foot lift.lever is hard to work, the knee lifter is stiff, the hand wheel is stiff. Isn't here any way to loosen them up so it doesn't take so much strength to move them??
