I just bought an Ipad Air 5th Gen M1, I went for this one because of the M1 Chip itself. I think its more future proof than the Ipad 10th Gen if you want to use it in the next few years. Comparing with the Ipad Pro, basically I went with Ipad Air because of the price point and still getting that performance. Please also note that the M1 Chip is a little powerhungry making the Ipad Air M1 still good.
Finally someone who sees my viewpoint. Considering all other iPads here other than the iPad 9th gen, iPad Air is the most cost effective cuz even though having a similar price to iPad mini here, it offers a laptop processor, 8 gigs of RAM and similar but slightly smaller display than iPad pro 11. Only 12.9inch iPad Pro here has an XDR display. People seem to miss that.

I have the 2021 12.9” ipad pro and battery sucks 1000%. I know that it has the M1 and it may be a little bit power hungry but after seeing how the M2 pro’s performed in this video I am guessing that it’s the display technology the most killer factor between the 12.9” and the rest of the ipads. And that might be the reason why we have not seen an 11” ipad pro with pro xdr display, battery would suck even more than my 12.9 M1 ipad pro. Hopefully they will find a way to bring good screen tech without the battery hit.
hi guys. ipad air 5 drain the best because of M1 processor? Or what is the reason? 11 pro has M1 as well and it's battery time better than air 5. So. why? Thx
Most of the time it's the screen size, the chip and the size of the battery that shows the screen time on these devices. All I know is that the iPad pro has a bigger battery than the ipad air.
Thank you, this video helped me to finally decide and go with 10th gen iPad. I am not a pro user, I don't use Apple Pen and I don't do gaming, I just need one for media consumption, teams meetings and email, so the 10th gen is definitely the way to go. I used to have the mini 6 which is great, but I gave that to my daughter when her 7th gen broke, now I am looking for a bigger screen
Let me just say, as an iPad 10 user, this makes me extremely happy! I doubted my purchase at first, but I really love it, and it works for my lifestyle! I won’t lie, I wish the price was a little lower, but for the features you get, it’s a pretty decent deal!

So I’m just curious if having 1 less performance core nets you any battery life gain.
Makes me kinda wish I bought a refurbished iPad Pro M1 instead of a new iPad Air M1 for only $70 more. The fact that on top of having better speakers and a better screen, it also has a better battery (under my day to day usage my Air M1 lasts about 5 hours, or 6 with low power mode), it’s really not worth it to buy a new Air over an Apple certified refurbished 11-inch Pro. But, at least I can comfort myself knowing - I got it in blue, a color not offered on the Pro line - I DID save $70, that’s more than nothing - I love my iPad Air M1, and the fact I could’ve gotten an even better deal… well, I got a pretty good deal even if not the best possible
I got the M2 12.9 and the battery seem ridiculous I notice it drop quickly that’s why I’m watching these videos to try to figure out why I guess it is the screen and I might trade it the one I got
The 12.9 inch iPad Pro has much higher peak brightness than the other iPads, so for this to be a fair comparison you would have to measure the brightness and adjust all devices so they have the same measured brightness. Right now you only compared them at the same percentage of their respective peak brightness wich means the worse displays had an advantage. Otherwise great video
I have the iPad Pro 11" (2021) and the battery is horrible on standby with the screen off. From 100% to 20% in 4 days without waking up the iPad. It's by far the worst battery on a device I've ever used.
I'm trying to decide between the 9th and air 4th.. I went to a local pawn shop and they sell for 450, 410 usd$ respectively. Surely soumds expensive but outside of the US apple devices are way more expensive. They both seem less than a year out of the factory and i confirmed that with the 9th which was only activated 4 months ago, so still has 8 months apple service. And it's on ios15.2 so looks like it was never updated. Tempting because i like to jailbreak devices and i doubt if 16.1.2 (air 4th) will have a fully fledged jb anytime soon. Any suggestions? Can't buy new cos the prices here are exorbitant and chances are it'll get stolen anyway. My s10 and iPhone X were both stolen.
recently i bought 10th gen and it won. it almost matching my screen on time also. 8hrs of series from prime video and 100 - 20 then apple music with screen of almost 1.5 hrs and i found 12 remaining. after that i searched in youtube for drain test and it worked the same way.
I bought M2 iPad pro 11 inch few days back. And in just 2 hour of video playing and notes app in split screen. Battery went from 100 to 35. Is that normal or it's ios 16 issue? Or It's ipad.
I upgraded from the ipad air 2 to the m2 pro and play ark mobile on low setting to fairly compare them, the air last around 3.5 hours before reaching 10% and it runs hot to the touch. i got to 9 hours of accumulated playtime on the pro, got tired, close the game and there was still 20% left. fyi, the air just got its 3rd battery replacement some week ago but i couldn't tell the different from when it was new. The new pro also got more cpu power than my workstation laptop from 2016 while thin, light and got super long battery life. I wonder what kind of black magic apple is using to make these but i got to say it was worth the money.
Great video! I appreciate the effort and time you put into it! Coming from the 8th gen, I was looking for a cheap option to get a current design. I actually got the 10th gen which had great battery life, but was disappointed in the display being non-laminated. Felt cheap to me, but the Air 5th gen went on sale within a week of me purchasing the 10th gen so I returned it and got the air. It does not have good battery life but otherwise it’s a much better experience overall.

I won’t gonna download a lot of apps too. Maybe I will only download insta and will probably use it as well for journaling, digital coloring, and canva to edit pictures (but not as heavy because i’ll only do it for fun)

Always love seeing uploads from you! You deserve 1m subs at least !
Www
I absolutely love my mini 6 it’s the best thing I have very bought it’s an all in one device.
А как с батареи 🔋 для игр стоит покупать
WHAT IPADOS EACH OF THE IPADS?
recently i bought 10th gen and it won. it almost matching my screen on time also. 8hrs of series from prime video and 100 - 20 then apple music with screen of almost 1.5 hrs and i found 12 remaining. after that i searched in youtube for drain test and it worked the same way.
Wow the iPad Pro 11 inch still doing well
I bought M2 iPad pro 11 inch few days back. And in just 2 hour of video playing and notes app in split screen. Battery went from 100 to 35. Is that normal or it's ios 16 issue? Or It's ipad.
So how are we supposed to see each iPad?
Do you have a new battery drain test for the new m4s?
iPad M4 battery drain test
OMG!! just the video I was looking for!!!
9:48 not him forgetting to remove the warning on the mini
How tf do you make a battery life test sound like a genuinely interesting football game
2:28 is this ipad pro 5th 12.9 on video?
Does magic keyboard and apple pencil effects this hours?
how much storage do all the ipads have?
11" pro had that dawg in him and went out with heart! Think you Just convinced me to buy it :)
Best SoC, 2nd best screen and a mediocre battery capacity yet it managed to get 2nd losing only by 3 mins :)
I am juan sorry guys new video in 5 hours
Watching this on my iPad 9th generation, I am shocked to see the battery life 😊
You said the “Pro models” have the updated M2 chip, but in your graph they are listed as having an M1. So what’s the deal?
10:40 lol it has a home button
do they have the same iOS VERSION?
After ios 18 update please do the same battery test 🙏 please
Is this because the iPad 10 is the newest and hasn't had as many charge cycles as the rest?
Battery health for each?
Do these all have new batteries? That could skew the results.
Thanks for this video… love your effort.
I was waiting for the comparison... thanks
I'll often use my iPad on low brightness so it will hold charge for like 2 days, and that's impressive ngl
You are the best at battery drain tests !!
Just bought iPad 10th a few minutes ago and watched this video. Looks like I made a fair choice.
Great review!!!!!
My IPad pro 12.9 inch 3rd generation is lasting 3 hours max charge is their any fixers or is that my iPad battery finished
Prob 11”inch or 10th Gen
Congrats on reaching your 60th subscriber goal!
Don't iPad 9 and mini's older release dates in 2021 is a slight disadvantage for an older battery?
Which Air: 4 or 5?
The table at 2.34 . You write the chip for the Pro ipads is M1!
you called the 11" ipad pro the air, and the graph says the second to the right is m1... im confused.
14:00 um.. Whatever is on the iPad on the left.. The screen looks.. Questionable........
No one talk about the phone who count the time . He the winner because he stand all the video 😮
My iPad yeahair 5 seems to only last 6 to 8 hours. I am kind of disappointed.
I just ordered an IPad Air 5th. Now I’m thinking I made a mistake
Should I get iPad 10 over iPad mini 6 ?
@@Bnhhgf the iPad mini 6 has better specs and works with the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil, but both are fine tbh, i got the iPad 10 in Blue and i'm more than happy
Sir i have an ipad pro m2 11 inch, jst want to know how much percent battery drops on standby mode mainly at night ,keeping everything off like background app refresh, location , wifi and blutooth toggle are kept on bt not connected. Your reply would b helpful, thank you
How did you match brightness across them?
Id like to see a split screen multitasking battery test
should i buy ipad 9th gen 256 gb or ipad 10 64 gb? I’m gonna use my ipad for school purposes but not too heavy, like for docs only for our thesis, note taking and some other apps for school. I won’t gonna download a lot of apps too. Maybe I will only download insta and will probably use it as well for journaling, digital coloring, and canva to edit pictures (but not as heavy because i’ll only do it for fun)
i would suggest 9th because 10th gen comes with usb c but if you want to charge the pen u will face problem. Also 9th is few dollars cheaper. and almost same battery life just couple mins short.
