Rumors are coming out about Kevin Durant leaving Brooklyn just as Damian Lillard posted a picture of KD in a Blazers jersey on social media. If that happens then the Warriors would have a super team to deal with in the West. This is about how Stephen Curry and the Dubs should feel about this latest rumor.

Even with Dame and KD, the Warriors are a way better and complete team. Portland does not have Bay money to complete a coherent and cohesive team to match the Warriors around KD and Dame.

Improvement to last times 4, I guess. But Portland would end up as the 5th or 6th seed behind the warriors, clippers, pelicans, nuggets and grizzlies. Might even be 7th behind the mavs. In that case they’ll have to play the second or third seed, and the second seed will probably be the clippers meaning they get bounced the first round, and the third seed will probably be the pelicans or nuggets meaning they’ll also get bounced the first round. So they won’t even be thinking about the warriors.
Dame and Kyrie are almost the same talent btw... You still need depth and solid role players and most importantly *chemistry*

The West had a bunch of star players out with injuries. Dame and KD in Portland will have to go through a healthy Clippers team, healthy Denver team and a revamped Mavericks team. I don't understand how their focus could even be on the Warriors. Outside of Dame KD and Grant they don't have enough. Warriors young guys of Wiseman Kuminga and Moody will be better next season. So as long as everyone is healthy for the Warriors no one is knocking them out easy if at all.

I would love you to do a video on this… I think KD should join the Celtics or the Grizzlies. KD is the perfect fit for the Celtics. They don’t have a superstar. They have 2 stars. KD brings that superstar presence to that team that they are missing. With Memphis… Ja Morant and that team are ascending… add KD boom they are championship contenders. They also have a fun vibe that I think KD could fit into and change his perception to being kinda cool again. Lastly, those 2 teams are competitors to Steph Curry & the Warriors. We still got to wonder what the Dubs will look like with a healthy Wiseman to protect the rim and grab offensive rebounds giving more possessions and more shots the elite shooters around him. But if the Blazers do trade for KD they will have to go get some vet minimum guys and give a couple under achieving players a 1 year prove it deals to see if they can over achieve like Monk did in LA. But it's hard to win a ring with 2 superstars and a bunch of role players.
portland is going to have a tight salary room if they sign kd at the same time wishes to persue depth in finding competent veterans that have playoff experience. Only 9 guys gave 29 and 8, and dame is the most efficient based on true shooting.,
He also has two seasons with an offensive rating of 125 and 126, for all players that has averaged 20 only, 10 players had on offensive rating of 125.
But dame had season where his offensive rating was 126.26, only 4 has surpassed that and dame averages more points and assists on better efficiency.

Seems like a lot for a player who will be 34 at the start of the league year. I can see Simons, Sharpe and two firsts being the meat of the trade for the Nets. Harden is two years younger and that trade happened about a year ago. That trade isn’t exactly apples to apples. What they did lose in that trade was two good chips in Allen (very good) and LeVert (productive when healthy) and three firsts. Certainly can be justified to add more to the above Durant trade, like maybe another first or good young piece, but I don’t see it being much more than that.

West top 3 seeds had better regular season records than the Heat, and the Mavs beat the Suns in the playoff. Other than Bucks and Celtics, the rest in the east were pretenders. The Celtics even had a hard time beating the Bucks without Middleton the whole series. The west was arguably stronger than the east in the playoffs this year

Dame, KD, Grant and probably sign bunch of veteran dudes w/o overpaying is going to be good for them, giving tons of future picks,swaps, and young players will not hurt them in the next 4 seasons and it's also good for their city and fans 💰📺
Is GS the only franchise who can really build a great team by getting non-all-star players? They drafted Steph, Klay, Dray.. they did acquire Iggy who was an all star back in 2012. Other than that, everyone else wasn’t an all-star. Wiggs became an all-star after he got traded to the Warriors.

The Nuggets and Celtics are 2 other examples of really good teams with homegrown talent. Jokic, Murray, MPJ, Tatum, Brown, Smart, and Timelord we're all drafted by their teams and not traded for

Bro I’m sorry, I was with you until you said the west is weaker than the east. Sixers and heat had no chance, while the grizzlies faught harder even after jah got injured and the suns made it to the finals last year and somehow choked like I’ve never seen a team choke. Aside from that it is pretty even, and once players come back healthy next year, the west is gonna be 2x better than of the east
