Mannnn London Fletcher is one of the most underrated players in history, dude had identical stats to guys like Junior Seau, Ray Lewis, and Brian Urlacher.
I just hate the scoreboards today that just shows the initials instead of the actual team logo, imo it just looks boring. My favorite is the CBS scoreboard from 2010, the way the logos' were tilted at an angle is a nice touch.
I was thinking the exact same thing, anytime you get a jump-ball INT over Megatron that’s a great play A lot of people forget how much of a stud DeAngelo Hall used to be
It's hardly different. Now, if you mean pre-2004, I'd understand that. Look at 2011, after the lockout. Defenses were terrible that year and basically sparked the increase in offense that we see today. Historically, though, teams aren't scoring much more nowadays than they did in prior decades. Of course, you might have had something completely different in mind.
I think it’s because the economy was really bad. Lots of people were unemployed so sports were what people had to enjoy- especially in Michigan. In Genessee County/Flint football is a religion- I just remember how amped up people got to either play football or watch the Wolverines/Spartans/Lions. Plus when I was in middle school I didn’t have I had to worry about and I was staring to really like football. We played in the snow in the backyard, pretending to be Calvin Johnson or Ndomukong Suh. Now it’s 2020- another recession- and I could see a sports-reliant generation arise again.

i found myself laughing so many times during this video due to the incompetence of both these teams ( im a lions fan it was funny watching that special teams unit lmaooo)
What do you have against Chris Houston? He holds the NFL record with the most amount of bench press reps for a CB. 27 reps on the 225lbs. At 5'10 185lbs he is the STRONGEST cornerback to ever play the game... And he ran a 4.32 at the NFL combine. To put that in perspective, He's faster than DeSean Jackson.
This game was the beginning of the end of the Mcnabb era in DC. Eventhough Mcnabb started a couple more games after this, there was really no coming back after they put Grossman in for that two-minute drill attempt.
During Matt Staffords era as quarterback of the Detroit Lions, this team has had SO MANY insane comebacks. The comeback everyone forgets is Falcons vs Lions in London. That might be the best game of all time.
God, I’ve been a Stafford supporter For all these years but this the last chance I’m giving him this year. That season of comebacks was amazing and I feel like a lot of Detroit fans finally got behind him but last season was a huge let down. He now has a great running back tandem, a number 1 WR in Golladay, and a pretty decent O line to work with. Let’s not forget our underrated top 10 Defense (In my mind). With a declining Green Bay team the Lions should have no excuses this season to at least clinch a wild card spot in the NFC. If not, the blame will point to Stafford no matter what happens. Sad but true.
He was hurt. The back is a tough injury to play through for a gun slinger style QB. Just like Hockey you downplay the injury situation, but it was a huge down year for him. It definitely affected his performance!
I remember thinking mcnabb would be so good with Washington and can't believe how quickly his career fell off he didn't even back up anyone and hang on for longer career
I don't know if not having Andy Reid hurt him a lot. Shanahan seemed to do well with multiple QBs once John Elway retired, but he and McNabb did not mix.
It's July 2020. 112 degrees outside in Tucson, AZ. In quarantine as mandated, & watching this wild game! As a Viking now for 49 seasons, I've always felt sorry for the Lions, & I always cheer for them too... 1st Colored Games I ever saw on TV was Detroit @ Minnesota. We won 34-10. It was dark & snowing @ Metropolitan Stadium. Fell in Love with the Vikings. Damn, that was 49 years ago. GO LIONS!
after hearing about how calvin was concussed multiple times, it's so obvious to see it in this video. the guy was shaken up severely and then he's scoring a touchdown two plays later
thesstype yeah , it’s shit like that , that made me bet someone twenty bucks this past month that Colt McCoy is healthy will be our week 1 starter.... redskins just can’t make good decisions lol play the rookie but they’ll put out some BS about Keenum not knowing the playbook yet and Haskins needing a couple weeks, so we’ve decided to start Colt who knows our plays 😂
@@mrbigstump63 I don't remember him getting injured. The amount of Redskins offensive 3 & outs from McNabb was insane. Another terrible FA pick up, from within the division.....
You know, I wish Sam Rosen would still do NFL play-by-play regularly, he was pretty good listen on Sunday. Also, McNabb clearly showing signs that his skills are declining
The InvictusSamaritan yea I agree with both of your replies. It's sometimes hard to believe that Grossman started in one Super Bowl, like McNabb. The pressure from the Lions made them both look worse in this game. Shanahan benching McNabb late in a close game like this was a bad look.

Maybe he would be in the Hall of Fame if he played for a team like Dallas or New England.
Dank Nuggets He’s not underrated. HOF’er.
I feel like Fletcher certainly gets overlooked. Always liked him.
He will get in i believe
Prolly hit harder then them too
This fox scoreboard was so beautiful. Best of all time

I love how as soon as Grossman came in the Lions got a defensive touchdown
It was both the most Rex "Sex Cannon" Grossman and Washington Redskin moment in history. A lot of wasted talent on that team.
0:45 Boy that is such a beautiful interception the body positioning, the box out of Megatron, the toe drag

Pulling McNabb in favor of Rex Grossman practically negates everything Shanahan accomplished. The media destroyed him the whole week after this one.😂
Outside of the RG3 outlier year ('12) the Shanahan period was a complete disaster.
@Blue Skeptic Grossman was probably better in 2011, believe it or not.
I don’t know if it’s just me and I can’t describe why but I miss the early 2010s NFL
It's hardly different. Now, if you mean pre-2004, I'd understand that. Look at 2011, after the lockout. Defenses were terrible that year and basically sparked the increase in offense that we see today. Historically, though, teams aren't scoring much more nowadays than they did in prior decades.

That move by McNabb at 1:17 is ridiculous...
Classic early-mid 2000s lions secondary. Constant missed tackles and dropped interceptions.

Jack Sharon lol I agree
Remember when mcnabb got paid sorta before this?
The game has changed so much since 2010
FJ365E no it hasn’t the modern game was born in 2007-2010

If Suh would have stayed in Detroit, I think he would have had a better career.
Look how fast defenses use to play, football is a shell of what it used to be
part of it is that qbs don’t drop back with old school footwork anymore so it’s harder to get sacks that quick anymore.
Say what? Defenses weren't faster in 2010. If anything, they get faster every year. You're just seeing what you want to see.
