      I know seriously. Plus I miss the standard wide sleeve skill cut style jerseys that QBs and Ks and Ps wore back them before the Nike transition in 2012. Plus the only Nike football jersey style I like most was the Batwing style the Broncos had originally before other college and high school teams later adapted it. Also I remember when the NFL had Nike, Puma, Adidas and Starter jerseys in the late 90s

      They still didn't do that great, they went 6-10 but at least they were able to beat the peytonless 2-14 colts, 4-12 bucs (twice), 5-11 redskins, 5-11 jags. With a solid win vs Texans who made playoffs.

    I was in 4th grade during the 2011 season, and I had a very energetic teacher that was a Giants fan. The Giants started out the season 6-2. The Friday before their next game, we had field day (my elementary school had field day in the fall so it wouldn’t be 90 degrees). She participated in all the events with us students until she landed the wrong way at jump the brook and broke her tibia and fibula. The ambulance had to come onto the soccer field and pick her up. She was out for the next four weeks and the Giants lost four straight. She came back, the Giants won three of their last four, somehow made the playoffs, and won the Super Bowl. She had some sort of connection to that team.

    If you’ve never watched the 2011 NFC Championship game Giants vs 49ers, go do it. Insanely physical, defensive game in a season dominated by offense. Also Eli’s most impressive game ever IMO. He got the crap kicked out of him but just kept getting up and making throws. Legendary performance

    As a Rams fan I have fond memories of 2011. We went 2-14 after just missing the playoffs the previous season, but their game against the Saints was a fantastic treat. Came right after the Cardinals won the world series too

    I never realized how close Aaron Hernandez came to sweeping up that ball. Could you imagine TB having to thank that monster for one of his rings. Would put a dark cloud over that win for sure.

    *Patriots blow a 21-0 lead against Buffalo in Week 3*
    "wELL, i woNdER if THis iS thE eND OF tHe dYNastY"-most of the NFL media, probably
    Tebow's one year in the Sun was probably my favorite part of 2011, with Cam Newton's incredible rookie campaign a close second. Also a freaking Lions quarterback throwing >5,000 yards was epic.

    3 mins into the video and have Subscribed and turned post notifications on. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years ! I remember waking up super early to watch all of the Games every Sunday with my Grandpa Dad and Uncles being super excited and then super exhausted by the time SNF kicked off.

    Man that was the start of an incredibly frustrating trend for Bills fans. The team went from awful to mediocre and had several seasons where they jumped out to a strong start and then shat the bed after week five or six. It was honestly worse than being terrible, and it's left us with a form of PTSD where, despite our best efforts to ignore the hate coming from else where in the league, we're still kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop. Beasley's shenanigans this offseason certainly have had us all on edge, to say the least.

    One of the best playoffs of all time. I think you should’ve talked about the Ravens a little more in this though, with Rays injury and then the drop in the end zone before the missed kick

    8:32 Ah yes, the time-honored tradition of robbing Drew Brees of MVP awards. Led the league in yards AND touchdowns, and led at least the top-10 passers in QBR and completion percentage, and yet Aaron Rodgers wins the award. Talk about volume all you want, that just shows that Brees was even more valuable to his team.
    Sincerely, a bitter Drew Brees/Chicago Bears fan.

    • @thehistoricalgamer
      @thehistoricalgamer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rodgers threw less than 1/2 as many INTs, you mention Brees QBR, but Rodgers had the #1 rated QBR in the league, as well as the #1 QB Rating... its not just about what you do right, its also about what you do wrong, Rodgers was a more efficient passer, only had 1 fewer TD, and had way fewer INTs, 2011 was a historic year for Brees but it was even better for Rodgers. Also with as bad as that Packers defense was (and it was terrible) the fact the Packers went 15-1 shows how valuable Rodgers was to the team.

  • @AbleAnderson

    I remember this season like it was yesterday. Not a Broncos fan but Tebow-mania and Skip Bayless was just priceless to watch. Also, just to remind people, Andrew Luck is still only 32!! He would be in his prime still if not for injuries, so sad that his talent was taken from the game so early. 2011 was also a prime DJ Steve Porter year; his remixes about Tebow and other sports topics were all over ESPN during this time and they were great. I'm no Patriots fan, but it's still so strange that they lost 2 superbowls to the Giants when I think they had the much better team both games. Kinda sucks for history but oh well
