Nice shooting, as to "realistic" shooting positions in the field I usually default to prone or maybe kneeling if you have to see over vegetation or some such. A bit off topic but I'm curious as to what kind of bugs you're getting out there in the desert, I wouldn't've thought there'd be much in the line of skeeters & such.
For me I can shoot prone a couple rounds but then the strain gets to my back and neck. As far has shooting in the field I have almost always shot offhand. When hunting I always have it so I have my left arm properly wrapped in the sling to aid support. I dont recall ever shooting in the field from kneeling position. Basically I have to stand to see over the grass and bushes. As for the bugs I have no clue what they are but there is the little small black ones and the tiny white ones. NDR
I agree its a piece of junk. But it will eat anything. I have never had a jam. For me why its a piece of junk is accuracy. Depends on where the ammo came from it can be anywhere from 2 moa to 6moa. Most is closer to 6 than 2. In a Jungle at close range it is effective out here in the wide open desert where I shoot it can be a little frustrating past 100 yards where I do most my shooting. NDR
But your worried about mistaking it for a bush. This is not criticism I'm sorry impressed that you can see more than 20 m I'm couple years younger years younger than you I'm lucky to see the bathroom that ran into❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Amazing shooting!
Did some work down in Bombay Beach with my brother Dave and I swear it can’t be beat my favorite place to work outside!
Love your videos!!

With that piece of junk, dam nice shooting. Not to mention the Iron Sights!
Maybe because it is a great rifle as well?
That’s possible!

I'm with @quaxenleaf ... I really love your videos!
I love that country I’d rather shoot an SKS down on some Playa then tucked in these Vermont hills.
