Technology has come a long way. The double action rugers are better than the M1911A1s now. With a Ruger, you can't lose. They really hold their value, second only to anything Mr. Browning made.
I carried a .45 as my side arm in the Army. I still love the cartridge but also love the .357. I still have my Security 6 from yesteryear and my Dan Wesson .357 maximum. but that GP100 you have sure looks slick. I'm interested in the 7 round GP100. I hope you love it as much as I did when I got my first .357.
I have this exact gun in stainless. I also have a 7.5" super redhawk in 44 mag. Between these two guns and my little j-frame, I cant imagine needing any other handguns. I mean... I'm gonna keep buying handguns, but these three cover my bases just fine.
Husband traded in a .22 rifle and a 9mm pistol so he could carry the GP100 .357 mag on back country hikes in the bear & mountain lion country of the Colorado Rockies. Said he could use it easier than his .357 mag 1971 Ruger SA Blackhawk.
Just got one, 4" barrel and blued. Doesn't seem very heavy. Gerat grip that shoots soft, even with full .357 rounds. Very nice firearm. Subscribed.
I hear you. I sold my CZ to buy the GP100. I just took a revolver class with it and I don't regret my decision one bit. Good pickup!
Can't go wrong with a ruger gp100. Have had mine for 7 yrs. and would never get rid of it.
Best damn revolver ever made. Well one of them.
I like the 357 better than the 45.

Video from 3.5yrs ago , love the blue 4" model looks awesome, you can get beautiful wood grips for it. Beautiful Beretta
I take my j frame 38 and my GP to the range together. The Ruger, with 357 ammo, actually has less recoil than the little smith.

Sweet
Anyone know what holster and extra cylinder holder those are?
You’re flipping it shut? Are you new to firearms. Get some basic training.
Ruger's original plant is located in Prescott Arizona just so you know
Not Connecticut even though there is one there but it's not the original one
