Yay for you guys. Keep up the good work! Nice to see Caleb join forces with ACW. Great video about a little known today but cool little gun. I had an early 20s made Colt Police Positive .38 some years ago. Neat little gun with an interesting history and got it from the original owner's sister. I think I sold it to help fund an M1 Garand purchase or some such, but wish I had kept it now. It was beautifully made, with a perfect bore. Must head to the safe and break out another pre-war Colt to assuage the pain of its loss. Ha :-)
Thanks for the video gentlemen, that's a fine revolver. Personally I love some wooden furniture. *Slightly* off topic but I don't have social media... Will ACW or Cabot ever release a 1911 painted in Vanta Black or similar?
Light svelte handguns with a considerable capacity in this video, now we have Glock 48s and Hellcats very eficient...back then guns had more character though the finishes, the contours and model names!
Ha Rob’s kid and Nick’s kid making videos together. That’s cute. And to clarify the “fitz special” was around in the late 1800s, obviously not by that name.
i dont think Trumps image will mean anywhere near as much as Teddy's, especially when he loses. The image was pushed way too much in the media, and it didnt have nearly the staying power in the fast paced media blitz of today. The fact he's had three assassins try actually makes the first act less powerful in the minds of the public and makes you think, why are so many of his own side wanting him dead, which creates a narrative that stuck. BTW, Teddy would have HATED Trump and stood against everything that fat ass, lazy, greedy, draft dodging, little landlord who wanted to sell National Parks off to real estate developers so he stripped funding from the parks and tried to destroy what Teddy fought hard for us to enjoy. Just maybe think twice before comparing the two. The only thing interesting is the gun choices of assassins and the fact that both assassins were part of the political party of the person they tried to kill. The rest of the video was super interesting and I love the amount of research you put in. Just think you should have avoided the personal bias in how you viewed Trumps assassination.
@@Doc893 I feel like you’re making this more politically charged than we did. We just simply pointed out a fact that this gun was used in an assassination attempt of a presidential candidate while on campaign and drew a comparison to our own time when another presidential candidate was “shot” and propelled further to fame by the attempt. It’s UNDENIABLE that the photo of Trump right after the attempted assassination is already historical- regardless of your political beliefs.
I have a colt police positive special in 38 special from 1919 that I carry
Another banger. Any time Teddy is mentioned you know it’s going to be a good time. Keep up the amazing content!

Fun fact.. A nickel plated Colt Police Positive was used by Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) in the classic 1974 film, "Death Wish".
D-frames were and are the best.
