Late reply, but if you want another reason to hate RE6, it was originally supposed to star Leon and Claire together once again. They replaced Claire with Helena, everyone's "favorite" whiny piece of melba toast, because Claire was in Revelations 2 already.

More games should try to do this "two sides/scenarios of the same story" because it can be so clever. I absolutely love how Annette is pretty much nothing more than an antagonist in Leon A, while here in Claire B she is very obviously trying to do the right thing and own up to her mistakes. Watching Claire B has me actually a bit sad that Annette dies, whereas in Leon A I'm more sad that she shoots Ada, and I just think it's clever how a game can make me think so differently of a character depending on perspective.
She’s trying to make sure the G doesn’t get out in Leon’s run. She even tried to take down William. In the original game she’s trying to preserve her husband’s work and is an actual villain (though in Claire’s run there she regrets her neglect of her daughter
@@JThom529 Oh yeah, she's not the true antagonist in Leon's run, but for most of it she definitely is protrayed that way, and she's made a bit more human in Claire's run imo.

She is disappointed Leon doesn't have a key for the locked gate.
The gate made of wires.
The kind of wires those "cutting tools" are meant to cut.
Their separation is literally due to their own stupidity.
Not to mention that if she went back and cut the chain holding the door she would've got the keys to open that door and truly reunited with Leon
Barry in revalations 2 read a document that said that one character has undergone experiments to make that character a reborn villian with all the perks and none of the negatives, later he is surprised said person turned evil. Also never discloses the info with anyone, so unless they dont say anything about it, you can guess that its almost like they muscle any puzzle or not smart enough to creatively use items.

Probably don't create a hole in the one final defense line that's preventing entire hordes of zombies from terminating your RE2 adventure prematurely.

I'm up to Sherry's part, and honestly I think it might be the most tense part of this entire playthrough so far. I dunno if it's just me, but I'm getting some REALLY creepy vibes off Police Chief Irons, like David from The Last of Us vibes, and it's like... yikes. It's probably the creepiest thing in this game.

If Leon A and Claire B happen concurrently, how do they solve the same puzzles and fight the same bosses in the same places and not run into evidence of each other being there?
EDIT: Like how does Claire have the EXACT same fights with Birkin in the same locations that are now not destroyed after Leon had those fights where the environment gets destroyed? Wouldn't Claire just find the aftermath of Leon's fights with Birkin? And wouldn't the STARS case be empty or already open after Leon opened it?
Was anyone doing continuity for these A B stories?
@@Just_JoshE I think they probably skipped continuity in order to make sure there were enough puzzles and boss fights in each scenario without having to create too many more puzzles and more distinct enemies (which honestly would have lead to more confusion imo). I do nonetheless agree though that it would've been nice to have more continuity.
The Scenarios in the Remake are alternate Stories, the don't happen at the same time.
Capcom stated that there wont be A/B Scenarios like in the original, but nobody believed them and those people are now dissapointet that basically NG+ is not their beloved B-Scenario. I also liked B-Scenario in the original but i am cool with the way they did it in the remake.

I will admit that the discrepancies kinda irk me, but it's a great game regardless, one that I really want to buy even though I don't play horror games. As someone who loved RE 2 and 3 back on the PS1, I'm happy to see the franchise where it is now.

I was more emotionally invested in this campaign. They rushed the relationship between Leon and Ada.
Claire and Sherry were technically rushed too, but yeah it felt a lot more organic when we were actually given more reason to care about Sherry with the whole scary Chief Irons bits and her mom not being willing to protect her. Ada just felt kinda... there, even with her playable sections, and then the "I was a villain all along but not really" trope at the end tired me out.

I'm a little bummed out that Claire's and Leon's stories are so much alike boss ans puzzle wise. Except from the letters Leon leaves for you to read, you don't really get the feeling that he's actually around. Would've been cool if Claire fought against a transformed Chief Irons (like the original game and also Darkside Chronicles) while Leon fights with Mr X or something like that.
Either way Claire's story was very nice. I really like Sherry's part of the game and just her character as a whole and I'm super glad that you could upload this video so quickly as well! You're awesome, John. Keep up the good work ^^

John, Annette wasn't suffering blood-loss, in case you didn't pay attention to the cut scene, when G Picked her up he squeezed her, crushing her ribs. She would have suffered trauma to her internal organs, not to mention having fragments of rib-bones driven into them, INCLUDING her heart. That's not to mention the high speed impact to the wall after he crushed her.

Other than hastily abridged intro and the initial item shuffle at the start of the games, as well as sooner Mr X, the games are almost unchanged, which is unfortunate. I'd have rather had a radically different play through in the B games from the A games. More than anything, I wish they had strapped the A and B stories entirely for the remake and instead made 2 separate games with sensible overlap, so it felt like the events were happening simultaneously and so there were no plot holes. Oh well. Too late for that, and I guess this is good enough as is. Now lets get a reboot sequel that pretends RE5 and 6 never happened.

@Leigh G Oh great! So it's not just me who think that something is not accurate with her facial design. Leon looks like the model, Eduardo Badaluta, but Claire's face doesn't look like her model. Often times, because of this odd chubbiness to her face, she looks like Jessica from Until Dawn (I liked her face the least of all the characters, no tea no shade).
