I'm still only in the first 15 min of the video but what Jill's wearing is called a skort. Skirt in front but are actually shorts. Definitely easier to maneuver in but I wanna know where one can get a tube top that doesn't require constant pulling back up.

I hate to be "that guy" but one hard aspect doesn't make a game hard. I know you're joking, but John was annoyed at the elitists in general, which I think was justified, haha. Ammo isn't really scarce unless you're running through without looking at all.
@@littlekitsune1 I thought ammo was scarce if you don't use it. The hidden difficulty adaptivity system punishes you for not using your ammo by making you find and craft less supplies. Conserving ammo isn't necessary in the new games because you're punished for doing so unless you're doing some extremely optimized rng manipulation blah blah blah speedrun.
@@Dean..... Possibly. I don't know the ins and outs of it, but I've never seen anyone struggle with ammo or healing items. In most survival horror games, to be honest, not just RE.
@@littlekitsune1 This hand holding of game developers is really against a really great game though, less on ammo? Handgun ammo coming right up. Boss fight coming up? No worries, you'll be stocked up with healing items.

YES!! As someone who hasn't played the original, I've been loving this game so far! It's unfortunate that the gore effects have been toned down, but maybe that's due to restrictions in the RE-Engine because there are a lot more zombies in this game compared to RE2. And based on what I've heard from some people, I think it's bizarre to complain about the length of the game, since most RE games are this long, (unless you've decided to speed run through the game on your first playthrough for some reason).

The last 3rd of the game was so... unsubstantial.
I didnt mind the length, I just didnt enjoy the weird boss battle at the end. I feel all you can do is dodge and wait for what feels like the "continue" button to appear to move to the next part of the battle sequence.
This game was my childhood, I specifically bought this game as a personal birthday present because I never have money to spend on games. I actually had to sit in the shower for 45 mins just to move past my disappointment with a game that had such a STRONG start.
Like, I was telling my fiancé that I thought that this game was going to be my favorite one in the series when I was 1-2 hours into it. Because DAMN that was a blast at first. I wish it stayed that way for me just a little longer.

I'm older so I actually played the original NE3 which was my favorite bc of the quick time events that they have left out. :( They weren't just quick time events they were game changers, they were Choices that changed the game and these happened several times so each time you played if you made different choices then you got a different experience. The replayability of this game was great. You could replay it many times and get really different gameplay. Alot was put into that game. It's too bad this game is linear :(

That was the most interaction I've seen someone have with the Nemesis so far. Kudos to John for being a "pro player" at this game and letting me see more of Nemmy's movements. Everyone else, like me, just dips tf out when he shows up.
I remember when John played Welcome to the game, I miss that series, mainly because he responded to one of my comments and I felt special.

@@TripleB87 - There's a difference is that line works when you're killing the boss, but not when it's said randomly while he's chasing you early in the game.
@@TimtheWinzard Nah, it was just as corny in 1999 as it is here. I'm still glad they slipped it in somewhere. And the point is, Jill has always been quippy. Marvel didn't invent quippy characters, they just made all of theirs quip-machines.

I know this video is quite old, but I wanted to say that this helped me - I struggled a lot with this game on normal (or whatever it's called) because I had no idea that the zombies I had already wasted so many bullets on were getting back up. Eventually, they would all swarm me and I would have run out of ammo completely. If you lack the capability to strategize / use your ammo accordingly, those slow stupid monsters can and will eat you.

You missed 2 other gems. You were supposed to unlock two buildings with the lockpick. The gems go to the machine in the subway station right next to typewriter and box. Where it told you how to use herbs. You missed a shotgun part and a pouch that's unlocked by the machine.
